FYI, clan chat is half broken for me in zOMG. I can receive, so I see what you all are saying, but I can't send.
When I try to send to clan chat, I get the error: We were unable to send your message: is offline.
Yes, there's nothing before the "is".
I started a thread in the Games Bugs forum, and I'm adding to another since it seems I'm not the only one with this issue. The admins/whatever have not gotten back to me and I don't expect they ever will.
I have a feeling it's because somehow the gaiaguildbot is not on my Buddy List in GIM. I've sent the account a friend request; if anyone has any other ideas about how to get this account back on the Buddy List I'm all ears. Or fingers, since it'll probably involve typing.
Or any other ideas about how to get this fixed/bring it to someone's attention who can do something about it.
In any case, I would like my fellow clan members to know I'm NOT ignoring you, I simply CAN'T respond.
(GIM is working in every other way - I can send and receive to one person just fine.)

This happened to me a lot when I was in zOMG Elite. My solution was just to start whispering people. The only problem there is that you can backspace the wrong person and get confused who you are talking with fast.
Whispering is great, yet very difficult for me to juggle more than two people.

Clan Chat started working for me again last night. I checked my settings directly from the GIM client and discovered that GaiaGuildBot was somehow/still on my GIM Blocked list.
As far as I know this is the only place to set or change this preference, because I'd crawled all over my preferences on the main site (and I don't think there's a way to access preferences via the zOMG client). But once I changed that it took a little time to percolate its way through the system....and you probably could have heard my jaw hitting the ground when I saw my test message echoed back in clan chat.
What's really (REALLY) pissing me off is that some admin-type could have checked this in 30 seconds, sent me a PM about it (hey, dummy, you're blocking the guildbot!), and I could have had this fixed ages ago.
So I don't know if this will help anyone else, but just in case, I'm posting it here.
And I look forward to joining in the chat.

Brilliant. Your update really helped me out. I didn't know about anything you just explained. Thanks much.

Is it a problem if I can't do EITHER send or receive O_o;

You are not to only one. I believe Kori and snow are experiencing the same problem.
