If you have any suggestions for Pokemon moves for different Pokemon, post them here. (My first forum topic, so if it's in the wrong area or whatever, feel free to tell me and have it moved.)

Some Pokemon I am interested in learning good moves for:
Gardevoir
Machamp
Charmander
Lucario
Sudowoodo

Depends on what you mean by "good moves". Are you looking for competitive battle-worthy movesets? Or just moves that are powerful and/or still get STAB? (Same Type/Attack Bonus.)

I'd imagine that a Machamp with No Guard would do INCREDIBLY well with Dynamicpunch, which it just so happens to learn as its ultimate technique, IIRC.

No Guard means a guaranteed potent hit and confusion. Nasty stuff. As for Suudowoodo--they can be bred Block, but what advantage that is is dubious. They can waste a slot with Rock Polish, which is a solid enough reversal move--or would be, if they weren't UTTERLY MOLASSASS. Hammer arm suits them; a fighting move that cuts their horrific speed--since you aren't going first anyway, it hardly matters. HOWEVER: Their trump card is easily, EASILY Wood Hammer. Nasty shock for ground and water types who switch in, that, especially since recoil doesn't touch Sudowoodo. Sudwoodo CAN learn Rollout, but honestly?

I think Sudowoodo's best place'd probably be mixed with someone who knows Trick Room. Hammer Arm, Gyro Ball--the list goes on.

PS: Of all things, Sudowoodo can learn calm mind and fake tears. HAHHAHAHA. I keed.

Good moves like... good, hard hitting battle moves that could do a lot of damage. but I was looking to have a veriety of attack types (like fire, water, whatever) among the moves though.

Alright. I'll try not to make this too com.batt-y.

Gardevoir~
Her best stat is Special Attack, so you definitely want to exploit that, and there are several ways. If you want a 100% offensive moveset, Psychic/Thunderbolt/Focus Blast/Shadow Ball works well. There's no strategy, just firing off strong special-based attacks. If you want something less brutish, you can use the same moveset but just replace Thunderbolt, Focus Blast and/or Shadow Ball with Calm Mind. You can put in an additional non-attacking move (while making sure to ALWAYS keep Psychic), but that's up to you and what role she plays on your team. Popular moves for this include Hypnosis, Thunder Wave, Will-o-Wisp, Memento, and Light Screen. Especially the latter, since Garde's next best stat is her Special Defense. Either way, pit her up against Pokémon who have weak Special Defense themselves or else you won't do much damage.

Machamp~
On the flip side, Machamp's best stat is his Attack, so play to that. An 100% offensive moveset would be Close Combat/Payback/Ice Punch/Thunderpunch. Stone Edge and/or Dynamicpunch can be used, too, but that once again depends on the role Machamp has. Looking for something with more strategy? Other good moves for Machamp include Bulk Up, Substitute, Encore, Rest, and Sleep Talk. Throw Machamp at Pokémon with weak Defenses (i.e. the Pokémon that Gardevoir can't do much damage on.)

Charmander~
Hate to break it to you, but Charmander is pretty weak. So weak, I'm not even going to suggest anything, because if he went up against the big boys, he'd be OHKO'd on the first round, even if he were of a high level.

Lucario~
Lol, everyone loves Lucario. And with good reason. Lucario has good Attack and Special Attack stats, which make him a very viable mixed attacker if one so chose. (A mixed attacker, or "sweeper", uses both Attack and Special Attack moves, unlike Special Sweepers who use only Special Attack moves, or Physical Sweepers, who use Attack moves.) As a result, Lucario has quite a move pool to draw from. For 100% offensive, you've got the following moves: Close Combat, Extremespeed, Ice Punch, Stone Edge, Crunch, Aura Sphere, Shadow Ball, Vacuum Wave, Hidden Power [Ice], Hidden Power [Rock], Dark Pulse, Rock Slide, Reverse, and Counter. Just mix and match based on what your team needs. I won't cover the movesets that require strategy, since there's sooo many.

Sudowoodo~
Sudowoodo isn't really a great attacker. His Attack stat is mediocre while his Special Attack stat is absolutely horrible. Defense is his best stat, but I suppose he'd be a good sweeper if he's not up against the more powerful Pokémon out there. I think the best 100% offensive moveset for him would be Earthquake/Stone Edge/Wood Hammer/Explosion. Use the first three moves until he's about to faint, then go out in style with Explosion. Just watch out for Ghosts (they'd be immune) and Pokémon with the Damp ability (it prevents Explosion/Self Destruct).

Now, if you're planning on using these on WiFi or otherwise against other real life people, I STRONGLY advise that you com.bat train them, which means correct natures, EV training, beneficial hold items, and even breeding for IVs depending on what com.bat circle you'd be fighting in. Sheer brute force may work against the NPCs in the game, but when it comes to real people, it doesn't cut it; An opponent with a good strategy will wipe you clean off your feet.
