I consider myself to be asexual, and never before in my life have I met another. Everyone just seems to like someone.
It doesn't seem common to me at all, but am I ignorant?

Are there many that I just don't know of?
Discuss: Whether it should be considered common or uncommon.
Are you? Could you ever view yourselves as one? What would be the contributing factors?

It's uncommon, but it happens. I know another person who considers herself asexual because super-powerful antidepressants ******** her up when she was a little kid, and now she's just apathetic to the whole 'intimacy' thing.

Oh also, I go back and forth. One minute I'm bisexual, the next minute I'm asexual. I hate being this way, but it's me and I'm not going to try to go against it.

Any idea why I might be other than just stinking hormones?

He's a hetero-romantic asexual, which means he's romantically attracted to the opposite gender but is not sexually attracted to anybody. We've been together since we were twelve though so he always jokes/says I'm the only person he's interested in either way.
So I mean he'll have sexual relations with me but I know it's really not his thing. He'd rather cuddle, which I'm fine with. Sacrifices...

Some people wouldn't consider him truly asexual because of his one exception but I still do. Whatevs.
There's more to it than that but that's kind of the gist of it.
