Today the wind beat against Edel's wings as she passed under the trees. She was avoiding the heat of the day, the sun was at it's highest and brutal. It wasn't the worst day it could be, because the breeze managed to carry her enough so she didn't have to work hard for her flight. All things considered, she thought it was quite a wonderful day.
She continued to flutter around, until she spotted the perfect little bulge in the River, perfect for her to soak her legs and cool off. She landed and grew to her usually height, which was small compared to just about everyone else. The only time she ever felt tall was when she was around a foal of usdia. Still, she wasn't going to let anything dampen her mood. She was coming to cope with her situation at last, she didn't need to relapse into an all out depression again.
On that note, she stepped into the cool water a breathed a sigh of relief. "It's been too hot lately..." She shook her mane off her face and let the curls roll across her neck. She pulled her tail across the water's surface, making disappearing shapes on the surface.
