Hi guys and thank you for coming. Pretty much this is an open discussion between guild members and thread members to discuss ways to not only promote the guild and thread but to also keep both active. Usual rules will apply here. Follow the TOS and keep drama to a minimum (if I have to send December after you, you're in for a world of hurt 3nodding ). Remember, we're not just friends but a family.

one of my biggest concerns right now is whether or not people are gifting to anybody. We call are thread a gifting thread but if no one is gifting or donating then were lying to all newcomers.

I also think that holding some contests would further bring in traffic. Maybe a few events throughout the year

I now that I gift when i'm able to and as well I have a myspace and a Facebook biggrin But it's the fact that most don't gift back >< I always gift those who are doing inks and bugs (micha) and flowers when ever someone is questing them I make sure to save those items for those peoples

*nod* that is also a very valid point I think that's the problem with holding a gift thread without mandatory gifting. there's no way to no for sure if people are gifting back or are just here to be gifted to. Although I think we would lose more members if gifting was mandatory.

I tend to make it a habit of at least giving a flower when gifted to, as a thank you then i make sure to thank them in a comment or in the thread. I've seen alot of people (not so much in our thread but in others) who don't even say thank you.

That too. I hate how parents don't teach manners. In this day and age you either have them or you don't. But hey what can we do? put it in the rules i say

hey Alex ! Thanks for stopping in.
@Zypher: In some cases (like our thread) we mention it in the rules, but alot of people don't read the first pages anymore. I've seen thread owners put a word at the end of the first page that you have to put in you first post, to make sure people have read everything. I think that's generally a good idea.
