The seemingly old halls are built of the same strong iron that forms the rest of the impregnable Academy, but here the cold metal is covered with the warmth of aged hardwood and thick green carpeting. Your feet sink into the pile of the luxurious flooring as you walk between low pedestals, each crowned with the bust of a famous man of history. There is a faint smell in the air of pipe smoke and stale socks - an incongruous combination. You see an ornate brass plate affixed to a wall just inside the doorway to Nunn Hall. Inscribed in a curling hand, it reads
