It was time to stop for the moment. The group, his adoptive mother, adoptive siblings, and even his new adoptive father were, taking a break from traveling today. The cubs played, his adopted serval brother slept not that far away from Siti and her new mate laid next to her. However Udo needed to wander. Part of the reason for joining them was to try and find his sister. So every chance he got he was trying push himself to go just a little longer and wander around to try and find his sister. But of course with his fear of the dark he always tired to be back before it got very dark, trying to fight off his fears long enough to wander out to a certain point and come back before it was very dark.
Udo'Tau flicked his hair out of his eyes for a moment looking back at the piles of lions and smiling softly. "Siti?" He called out before she looked up arching a brow at her, he laughed softly. "Mom?" He tried again and smiled along with hers. "I'm gonna head out for a bit, be back soon." He nodded again before turning around and taking off. Moving fast, he knew where he was going It wans't that far off, he remembered it from when he was a kit.
Soon he was coming up to a tree, he narrowed his eyes for a moment before he leaped into the air at the tree, hanging on with his claws and slowly climbing up it making his way up the branches and climbing his way to the top, there were sturdy branches up there too. Keeping his ballance as he did then looking around. Being half leopard this was quiet easy, he was glad that it was. It was very nice to be able to see everything because he could climb.

 Ixil lay curled up in a nice little nook of that very tree. The leopard blended in effortlessly, his coloration doing all of the work. It was something that the leopard often appreciated, his colors. Deep in his dream, his toes, tail tip, and ears twitched ever so slightly. That is, until he felt a branch shake. The jostle was enough to wake him- glaring in annoyance he whipped his head around in search of the guilty party.... Who had... Already gone higher up in the tree. As he looked up the branches to observe who it was who had woken him, he had to bat some leaves away, falling lightly towards him from the upper disturbed branches.
Well, whoever it was hadn't noticed him yet.
"Hey you up there, what's the big idea, huh?" He asked, still curled up for the most part, though he began to unfurl himself. "I was having a nap, you know." His voice was flat, and somehow not angered, simply mildly annoyed.

Udo'Tau was caught up in his own thoughts as he reached the top of the tree, looking around, keeping an eye out for that pink body that he know so well. It had to be some where. Where was his sister? Hopefully she was fine, now she was worrying so much more if his sister was alive or not, so much more than he ever did. He narrowed his eyes for a moment and leaned forward just a bit, trying to get a better look at something.
That was until a voice broke his concentration. He blinked a few times, was it a lion? No it couldn't have been the only lion that he knew who liked to climb trees was Siti. For a moment he almost lost his balance until he moved his foot making sure to catch his balance once he did he crawled down and looked at the leopard. To tell the truth he wasn't sure if he ever met a accutal leopard before. He blinked a few times, how did he not notice him? Maybe his markigns?
"I'm so sorry sir!" He bowed his head apologetically. "Very sorry. I didn't see you, if I did I wouldn't have rushed up here. You blend in pretty well. Is there something I can do to make up waking you from your nap?" His instincts were going back to the times before he was in a pride. The rouge mindset taking over, trying to be as careful as he could was his best bet with almost everything.

Ix heard him out, surprised at how apologetic this guy was. He gave a yawn before speaking himself. "Well, it's not a big deal, I was gonna wake up eventually, but I suppose you could do me one little favor." He knew this one couldn't be too hard. Or, at least, he hoped. "You can be not-offended at what I'm about to ask, but what the heck are you? You're a really good tree-climbing lion?" He asked, eyes narrowing and moving his head to the side a little bit.
Then he caught sight of the dude's tail. "I mean, you don't have a tuft, so obviously my guess isn't right," he extended a claw towards the tail in question. Ixil had never seen, let alone talked to a hybrid before. "But you've got a mane like a lion, you can see how a guy would be confused," he said simply with a little nod.
"Oh, name's Ixil, by the way. You can call me Ix, if you want, whatever works, you?" he asked. Introductions were always an afterthought to him.

Udo'tau went to say something else but he was interrupted, he listened to the males question and he tried to hold back his laughter. "Not offended at all!" He shook his head slightly but then smiled nodding to the male. He flicked his hair out of his eyes then moved his tail so it rested over the tree branch and a smile grew a little more on his face. "My name is Udo'tau, you may call me Udo, Ix." He smiled with a soft nod before he started to explain himself.
"Well I'm not a lion or a leopard. I'm both." He chuckled softly before nodding. "Don't worry you aren't the only to ask. My mother was a leopard and my father was a lion. That's why have a bit of everything." He chuckled softly. "My brothers and sisters look the same, well the did last time I ran into them." He cleared his throat for a moment before he nodded toward the male.
"I'm sure if you've never seen one like me... But really she looks more like a leopard." He talked to him self for a moment before turning toward the male. "Have you happened to see a pink female, kinda looks like me?" He asked looking at him with some hope in his eyes he really wanted to know if she had been around here.

"Huh, go figure!" he said thoughtfully. "Part leopard and part lion... That would explain a lot!" Ixil said, wrapping his mind around the idea and accepting it. Clearly it was a reality- Udo sat right in front of him, and with the explanation in mind, the leopon's appearance made perfect sense.
Ix flicked his ears when Udo seemed to lower his voice, curious about what he was talking about. Although, an ear flick was about it- no head tilt or anything. He'd somehow trained himself out of that habit over the span of his life. His mild curiosity was answered when Udo asked a question. "Hmm..." He pondered for a bit, eyebrows furrowing as he tried to think back. His mind ran across each acquaintance he'd made recently. "I've run into some pink felines, but they were all decidedly lions- I'm sure of it. I'm sorry. You're looking for someone, then?" For some unknown reason, Ixil was often interested in the motives of others to wander the roguelands- it seemed to fascinate him. And yet, he himself didn't know his own purpose out here. "Perhaps you could find a god or a goddess who would be willing to help you out? They'd certainly be capable..." He offered, thinking a bit. Offering would be all he could do, though- he didn't know any deities personally.

Udo couldn't help but to chuckle some at the lions reaction. "Yep! It's a little hard for be to believe myself some times. Its something that your normally wouldn't come across to tell the truth I've really only run into a few other than my sister." He chuckled softly once more.
Udo nodded to the male. "Its alright." Then he chuckled softly before speaking again. "Yes i Am." His smile became slightly sad for a second. "I'm looking for my sister, separated from her a while ago. Well it was more of a kidnapping. Otherwise I'm also wandering with my adoptive family looking for my adoptive siblings's father." He chuckled softly as he smiled at the male. he was glad that the cubs were going to get to meet their father. Some times he wished he knew his other family members but at the same time he didn't. He liked the way he was currently living.

He nodded, finishing pondering the hybrid concept. He'd store that away, wondering how many hybrids were out there as they spoke.
"A kidnapping!? That's terrible," he said, face contorting to a look of genuine disgust. "That sort of thing... is lower than low." He felt a sudden pang to try to help the leopon, but how? "I'll keep my eyes, ears, and nose peeled. If I catch sign of anything pink and half-lion-half-leopardy, I'll bring them along and find you, if I can." And that was a vow. "I hope she's ok," he said quietly, more to himself than to the leopon.
"It sounds like you've had an interesting life," he said simply. His own hadn't been near as dramatic. But, then again, the mundane everyday could be easily overlooked, and under-rated, Ix understood that.

Udo nodded just slightly at he looked at the male. "Yeah, i was alone for a while. Pretty much wandering by myself. But now I have my adoptive family at least." He sighed softly before flicking his mane out of his eyes and looking toward the distance. "It is very low. I feel bad though... I should have defended her but I couldn't. I ran, I thought she was behind me." He cringed slightly remembering the night, remembering how much he hated it.
He shook the memory off as he looked at the male before smiling at him again. "Thank you so much. That means a lot. I'll probably be around this area." He nodded again at the idea they weren't going to be going that far lately, and he was more than sure that they wouldn't be going that far. They were goign to find his adoptive siblings's father but they were going to be staying in that area offten. "it has been very interesting." He said with a nodd before lhe looked behind him. "I think I might be heading back to my family now though." He grinned at him before flicking his tail behind him and standing up shaking off his coat. "It was really nice meeting you."

"I've been alone... for a little while now, but I was raised by my parents until I was a teenager," he told the leopon. "I don't know how I would have reacted to the roguelands alone, had I been any younger when I left." Hopefully that tidbit of history would give Udo some comfort... Had Ix been in his shoes, the same probably would have happened.
Heck, it practically had... His thoughts turned to his cubhood friend Inari, whom he had left on a whim. Word had it, she did the same shortly after he did...
He stored away this location in his mind, eyes towards the sky as he remembered it. "I'll let you know if I see her. And that sounds good, I should be off myself. Best of luck to you, Udo'Tau!" He said enthusiastically with a dip of his muzzle. The leopard stretched himself and began to head out, a certain lioness in mind at that moment.
