Just interested to know your views on this subject. Whether it be friends or as a b/f g/f relationship , etc.
In RL I know of 2 ppl who met their now partners thru the net. And they are still going strong.

I think Internet relationships are fine but if you plan to have a serious relationships you cant really keep it on the Internet.

I'm a loser baby, Idk it's hard to say.
I think it kinda takes out part of the excitement you get when you first notice someone you don't really know and you start getting to know them and liking them.
It's different when it's online and not in person. So why don't you kill me?

Yes it is different when it's online but I think you can get to know some one quite well online. It's sort of similar to penpals smile

I don't particularly agree or condone internet dating or relationships, unless you already know the person IRL. The simple reason why is because you don't know the person you are getting into a relationship with and how can you tell if they are the gender they claim to be?

It works for some people and doesn't for others. Though, you do get a lot of critism with online dating. I don't mind it, but it wouldn't hurt to meet someone is "real life".

My best friend of over five years is on the other side of the continent. Though friends are a different matter from dating.
So long as the person isn't stupid, I'm not really against online dating. I've done it and I'll do it, again. I'm extremely shy for real. >>

I think it's a pretty cool way to meet new and interesting people. I know I've made a few good friends via the internet.
As far as romantic relationships go, I think it's possible to start them in an on-line environment, but at some point a face-to-face meeting must be had.

 For you see, each day I love you more... I personally think it all depends on the person. For some it's okay and for others it's not. And I also think it depends on how mature you go about having this relationship online. There are lots of creeps out there that are looking to take advantage of naive people all the time. ...today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow   <---Click Please!

Heh that is how Cheri and are. Well she isn't that far but we just don't have the money to meet but we've known each other for like 4 almost 5 years now.

Russian Roulette is not the same without a gun,
Mine and Sam's relationship is mainly through the internet now because we rarely see one another except for the occasional weekend. I think it's better for us because we aren't smothering one another and when we get in fights, we don't see each other the next day at school and get angry at one another.
And baby when it's love if it's not rough it isn't fun.

i've dated a lot on the internet because i suffer from social phobia that makes even going to buy the newspaper a panic-attack-worthy feat. it's not worked out for me yet.
but my sister and her husband met on the internet. they didn't stay net buddies for very long though, and they've been married just over a year now.
