A small hamlet located in the town of Salem, NY. Small and unassuming, it boasts an average community size and a low crime-rate.

Wayne walked around in his favorite long coat and jeans, keeping his mask in his pocket just in case he needed it. He was out looking for a house near by because he heard this was a good place to live. Not much trouble hopefully. There were some houses for sale online that he saw and he wanted to see it in person and hopefully talk to the owners and buy it directly from them and not the business they are using to list with. Helps them keep more money and its a lot easier too. After a while of walking he found a nice two story house for sale by owner witch worked better then what he planed on doing but he did not know the house so he kept walking and would go back the same way anyways and check it out latter.
When he got to the house he saw online it was already sold and that pissed him off because his morning was not so good to begin with. The motel he stayed in was broken into and his bag stolen that had some of his cloths. Then when he left some one tried to mug him and he had to deal with police when they found they guy almost dead for most of the day. After that the house he wanted was sold... "Great." He said as he walked by a lamp pole and his arm turned to the cheap metal and he punched the next lamp as he walked bye and his arm changed back to normal. By the time he got to the house that is for sale by owner and he stopped and sat down thinking of what to do. He sold his house, dont know if there is a place to stay near by and really getting tired of his day.

Andie was heading back from the store to home, the grocery bag in one hand and her purse over her shoulder. "Let's see...if Candra can convince him to go with her, I can have Leo..." Her train of thought was insane to anyone else's, as she was currently debating how to continue the scene in her novel. Her scarf was tucked into her tan coat, belt and green blouse hidden behind the material.
She paused, noticing someone sitting on the steps. Her hands were safely encased in her usual leather gloves, so she moved a bit closer as she approached him. "Need directions? You look lost," she said, by way of introduction.

Wayne looked up at her and thought for a while. "Well, I need to find a motel and a house that's for sale that's two story's high and a nice basement." He said joking as he got up really surprised some one would talk to him especially because of what he was wearing. Most people did not trust him when he wore dark clothing. "I was joking about the last part unless you know one." He said realizing his arm was still metal and put it behind his back as he changed it back but it took a while because he was still stressed and his body thought it should be on defense or offense still.

Andie noticed his arm but decided not to comment on it. It wasn't anyone's business who was a mutant, especially not now. "Well, there's a motel down the street, if you want me to take you there. And there are some nice houses for sale, but they're kind of pricey," she added, not wanting to imply he was poor.
She thought about it, weighing the fact he was a stranger against the other fact that he was a mutant and obviously needed some help. "I'm Andie, by the way. I live with my brother across town. We've got a basement he's been wanting to rent out, it's fully done and all that," she offered. "And he wouldn't have a problem with a mutant," she whispered, so only the young man could hear.

"Well I was looking for a house and I have money for any of these houses but a basement would be better for me anyway." he said thinking how this worked out better and his arm slowly changed back. "My name I Wayne, If you need all the paper work for renting and license I have all of that. Unfortunately I don't have a job yet. Should I be talking to your brother about this?" He asked as his fingers were the only part left and as soon as they past anything that he could touch he transferred what was left into it.

Andie thought for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah, probably, I'm not into all that paperwork," she admitted. She started to stroll down the sidewalk again, bags in hand. "He should be home by now. I was just getting groceries, so if you want to come, come on," she suggested, pausing to glance over her shoulder.

He looked around and thought a little as he followed her. "Sounds good. I got cash for now." he said looking at her now thinking it would be weird for him to just walk in but he would. "After the paper work could you tell me where some fast food or something. I have not eaten in a while." He said looking around now, memorizing the area so he does not get lost.

"I was actually making dinner once I got home. It's sort of how I pay my brother back for letting me live there," she added sheepishly. "But if you'd rather eat that, there're some places I can direct you to. We've only got a few more blocks, by the way," she continued.

"Okay. Thank you, that sounds good. Do you know how much he is charging rent?" He asked wondering if he could lower it by using his power to help them. When he asked her he thought about his stuff and just remembered that he would have to walk several miles one way to get everything.

"Nope, not sure. You're the first one we've found who's interested in it," Andie told him. Guessing what he was thinking, she shook her head. "And if we didn't need the money he wouldn't be charging, so don't think helping out will make it any less," she added briskly. "Sorry, but life's a b***h, especially with people like us."

He looked at her. "Like us... Well I guess you saw my arm before it was back to normal then." He said smiling now more interested in her and her brother. "Well I know how life sucks but the power helps me with jobs I do and the money I make I could most likely buy any house here." he said thinking about the few job offers he got recently just before he left his home.

"Then why are you trying to rent from us, if you're so rich?" Andie asked blankly. The man was coming off as a bit of a braggart, if she had any opinion of him right now, and she wondered if it was a good idea to bring him home after all.
She shifted the packages around in her arms, glad they only had a block to go before they reached home. They had kept up a brisk pace, making the time go by quickly.

"Well, it would be easier and help you and your brother, correct?" He said thinking about it. "And I dont want to waist my 'Limited' money on a place I cant stay at." He said walking slightly at her side making sure she was still leading the way and he was far enough away that if anything happens he would have time to retaliate. He has been tricked by other mutants too and will not risk it once again by getting to close.
