hhhokay. so. i have seen my teacher do floor work all the time and it looks sooooo beautifull. but when i try to do it i look like a parapalegic walrus. and if i try to add some veil work? forget it. any moves/tricks you guys know about?

floor work takes a lot of practice and patients. I'm sure if you practice it slow you will be able to move it up to speed. remember, most instructors were professional dancers before teaching so they had a lot of time to practice and exirament.

I learned it by accident! lol
Slippery pants and a slippery floor help you to slide your legs and do that odd crawl type move...I dont know what it's called.
When you're on your knees, you put one foot out, like you're going to propose to someone and sort of push your weight forward, slidding the other leg forward and moving the first knee back...? Did that make sesnse?
I dont think that made sense...lol
Anywho, the only time I'm ever really able to do any movements on the floor is if I'm on a stage and I dont have friction between my pants and stage.
