A sharp wind whisked by, blowing the bearer of an unusually long trench coat up. The individual struggled to hold the coat down as she keeled down into a bowing position. "You are not escaping me a second time!" cried the person to herself as the coat tossed up against the wind. The person, no, Pokemon who claimed the coat in possession finally caught back the coat to herself and wandered forward, bright green galoshes upon her feet making scratchy sounds to the pavement below. Upon closer inspection, one could make out the shape of something human or humanoid, but not fully. With skin too pale and an odd trail leading from the rumpus to the neck area, it obviously gave away the impression that there was certainly a tail being hidden within the large corridors of the coat. However, the people of Katarina were quite too busy to even notice the long bump or the curved piece of flesh protruding from the individual's head.

Of course, no other Pokemon (unless it is another genetically created one) besides a Mewtwo would be hidden under the sheets of clothing and accessories. But Mewtwos were intelligent Pokemon right? They could think for themselves that wandering around in clothes not made for themselves would be uncomfortable. But this female Mewtwo was desperate. The the enemy was nearby and she wasn't going to let a simple game of cat and mouse make her stray away from completing her true objective.

Catherine had been cocked up inside Meeka's general store, sleeping and playing with Medley's plushies to pass the time. She wished to help out her caretakers the best she could, but she would constantly be reminded that she should sit down and let them take care of it. One day while her caretakers were out visiting family in another far away region, Catherine earned an idea. Defying her caretaker's rules, Catherine wandered over to Katarina. She would repay her family by buying them a wonderful gift.

As she approached the bustling suburban city, Catherine sensed the tingling sensation of weak "springers*". The springers were familiar and whom they belonged to were even more. Rockets were patrolling the area dressed as normal people. They were scouting the area moreover. But without a doubt keeping an eye out for her. In a fit of panic, Catherine ran back home than back to Katarina dressed in an array of clothing. She would play them at their own game. She would dress up as normally too, hoping to look like a human herself. She hardly had that down, but as least she wasn't drawing no attention.

As Catherine sluggishly walked on her toes window shopping, she hesitated to a sudden collection of springers heading her way. The springers grew closer, meaning that there was a handful of Rockets heading her way. Panicking, Catherine shifted hastily to the connecting side of two buildings. But in doing so, she collapsed upon someone.

Had she been discovered?



*the term Catherine uses to describe the detection of another Psychic being. She has a low tolerance for them and usually has to wait a certain period of time to recover from a big springer. Humans also let off a springer, but not enough to harm her.

Just how many disguises are out here today, Roise wondered to herself while on patrol. She too was not dressed as who she was, her uniform would have attracted too much attention. There had been recent Rocket activity and then things had gotten quiet. "Too quiet." the Chief had said. And so he'd sent out plainclothes officers to keep an eye on things. And since she hadn't been given her own pokémon partner yet, she was still in Katrina rather than help explore and secure the somewhat new town of Motterossa.

She'd been keeping pace for a few blocks now with an oddly shaped, suspected Rocket. Just what does he have under that coat? she had to wonder to herself. Then Tall-Coat Rocket, as she'd been calling the suspicious form, moved rather quickly and collided with another passer-by.

Roise stopped too and turned to look at the window display she was in front of. Ugh... cosplay, she said to herself, trying to be interested in a pair of Skitty gloves which were being modeled by the mannequin. She couldn't be part of a scene, so she waited to see how things would play out.

Lumin Was startled as the head coverings of what he had thought was Menudo fell off. It was a different Mewtwo. This one had different markings on its face. He was about to say something when he was grabbed up by the waist. He didn't make much noise, remembering Menudo's want for secrecy, this one was most likely also attempting to keep unknown to the general public. He did let out a startled yelp as he was pulled off the ground and through the crowd. Suddenly, the Mewtwo collided with yet another passerby, this one did not seem to be as coordinated as Menudo had been. Another difference that he had noticed was that this one seemed to have a more feminine thought voice than Menudo.

The Mewtwo's second collision victim was also dragged along with them. The Mewtwo confirmed his suspicion of a want for secrecy by requesting that its newest passenger not tell others about her. Lumin, at this point, conceded to himself that he was unlikely to get any of the drawing materials he had come for.

Lightly resting Lumin down, Catherine lightly tapped his chin and nudged his chin up. "Please, be quiet." she murmured with lingered thoughts as the woman whose arm she had grabbed screamed. The woman slapped Catherine's hand away and dashed for it, wanting to leave the somewhat petite Mewtwo to her lonesome with the ebony haired boy. Catherine sighed as she eyed the panic she had caused.

All this just to obtain a gift for two?!

"Humans are such cowards..." Catherine thought aloud as she fixated her mouth into a somewhat displeased position. However, she was unaware of her own mistake as several glances shot her way. Some terrified, some questioning, some malicious. Realizing she had made another mistake, Catherine shot for a seat next to Lumin. Bowing her head, she wrapped her tail in a hiding behind the male to prevent anyone for seeing. The group of people looked again, but this time seemed to not be alarmed. Catherine's plan for fooling them again kind of worked.

Sighing, Catherine turned to Lumin. "I'm a Mewtwo, if you haven't already guessed..." Catherine spoke to him in silence as she transmitted her thoughts to him. "However, I am a run away Mewtwo. I defied my master and escaped from his lab to freedom. I have been running ever since. Since you have made contact with me, you are also apart of this. The Rockets will surely have your identity taken down into database if they are to ever find out you know about me." Catherine hesitated from her explanation to stare at Lumin, her pink, pleading eyes glowing sadly under the shade of the sun hat. "R-Right now, I wanted to get a gift for my caretakers. However, I seemed to have brought attention to myself. T-There are Rockets patrolling the area all about, searching for any signs that I might be here. Can you assist me in obtaining a gift? It seems as though...I cannot do it along..."

As Catherine turned back, she spotted a quaint little stall selling plushies. She giggled at this. It reminded her of Medley. Unfortunately, she had only brought enough money for one gift. Not two or three. Sighing in her dismay, Catherine's eyes darted back up as the stall exploded. The sudden burst of energy caused plushies to rip apart and cotton to puff about as if clouds were falling from the towering sky above. Catherine pulled back as she stared at the scene.

She really had to control her powers better.

Roise lingered a while longer on the sidewalk by the pokemon-themed costume shop until it looked like things were getting back to normal. Now... where did those two go? She set off at a leisurely pace, hat in hand, before slipping between the pair of buildings where she'd last seen the two of them. As she did she caught the boy's last couple of words. "Blow things up," she said in a calm and casual tone. "No, that wouldn't be a good idea."
