Risa chuckled as her son ran on ahead, following him as carefully as ever. He'd been excited ever since she'd told him they were going to the icecream shop in Barton. Icecream was a rare treat in their family--once a week, anyway.
"I want 'nilla this time!" Miles said, practically bouncing on the balls of his feet as he waited for his mother to catch up. "Come on, come on!" He said. "The icecream will melt!"
Risa didn't waste time explaining that ice cream didn't melt when kept in a freezer. She knew the toddler wouldn't have listened. He was determined to get there. She moved on ahead of the small boy. "Here we are." She said at last, opening the door for Miles. A bell rang as the door was opened.

" Can I have bubble gum again" Kuschel asked softly , peering down at his father from where he was perches on the seraph's shoulders. The pink furred, long eared bunny boy much prefer to be carried than to walk and too advantage of his father's willingness to let him sit on his shoulders most of the time.
Pyran laughed but shook his head " Lets not, you got gum in Divine's hair last time and he'll never forgive me if it happens again." Or if it happened to Pash for that matter, his lovers were rather fond of each other's long hair and wouldn't be happy if anything happened to it again.
" Cotton candy?" Kuschel was also fond of the bright pink ice cream that looked nearly like him and tasted sweet and light, he wasn't too fond of heavy flavours.
" Sure" It seemed safe enough if always as messy as any ice cream the boy got. The read headed angel caught the door just as it was closing behind another parent child duo.

Miles heard voices behind them, and turned. "Hi!" He said, with a wave. He'd never meet someone who looked... so much like a pet. Maybe he was a pet. A pet that could talk and that liked ice cream! "My name's Miles--what's your name?" He asked, looking at the the bunny, and then the man.
Risa turned as well, to smile at the two. "Hello," She said, politely. "Hope Miles isn't interrupting--he's--" She never did say what Miles was, because the toddler interrupted her.
"Mom's bossy." He muttered. "Your dad?" He asked, gesturing to the man.

Kuschel giggled Miles and his mother were kinda funny and he was already amused by the other little boy. " I'm Kuschel" his name wasn't easy for the young bunny boy but he managed anyways. The pink haired boy nodded in response to Mile's question " Is dad, he's nice." Weird though and growly sometimes which the boy didn't understand. Still the angel man took care of him and sang to him told him he loved him and that was what counted.
Pyran laughed and held a hand out to the woman after moving out of the way of the door. " Hi, I'm Pyran" Might as well make nice with the other kid's mom he thought, especially since Kuschel seemed friendly enough with the other boy even if said friendship would only last as long as it took them to get ice cream.

Miles smiled at the bunny boy. "Kush--Krush---Kuschel?" He attempted the name. "Nice name." He complimented. He paused. "Mom's nice too--but still bossy." He added, looking up at his mother teasingly. His attention was drawn back to the boy. "You getting icecream too?" He asked. "What kind?"
Risa took Pyran's hand and shook it. "Nice to meet you, Pyran." She said with a smile. "I'm Risa."

" Cotton candy cause I can't have bubblegum " At least cotton candy had two different flavours one each for the pink and blue swirls in it. " What are you getting?"
Pyran smiled and shook her hand firmly, she seemed friendly and nice enough. " You getting ice cream too or just your boy?.

"'Nilla." Miles said simply. "Had chocolate last time with Bella. Never tried cotton candy. Mom says it called Fairy floss. Dunno why. Mom a fairy. She dun floss with cotton candy."
Risa frowned at Miles, and put a hand on his head. "It's called that because the strands were so small. In some myths, fae were reported as being small."

" Shal's a fairy an tall, he doesn't like ice cream or cotton candy," Of course as far as Kuschel could tell Kaishal didn't like much of anything except Dec, although the man was always nice for him and have him tasty things from the garden to nibble on. "Real cotton candy melts" The pink furred boy informed the other" Can't floss with it." He'd seen his father floss before and you needed a string to do it not candy. Mile's mother's explanation made little sense to the small boy.
Pyran just laughed softly at the exchange, he barely remembered being as young, innocent and naive as these children were now. They were good times, his childhood though.

"Fairies who dun like ice cream?" Miles repeated in amazement. He thought all fae--well, fairies as he called them, were like his mother. "Mom likes candy and ice cream." He said with a firm nod. "Likes anything sweet. Seelie, I think."
He paused. "Maybe fairies floss diff-er-ently than other people." He said. "Cause it's called fairy floss."

Kuschel shrugged, flossing wasn't of much interest to the little boy at this point and unless it was important at the time he was rather unmoved by people's species. Where he lived practically everybody looked different.
Besides the bunny boy's attention had been drawn back to the subject at hand, ice cream. " You having a cup or a cone." The pink child's small pudgy fingers and slow eating habits made a cone a bad choice for him so his father always got him ice cream in little paper cups.

"Cone." Miles said simply, with a nod. "Always get a cone--can't eat cups." He stated this so matter-of-factly that there was no doubt that he had once tried eating one. And so his mother opted for cones. Safer, she thought.
"What you getting?" The toddler asked, with a tilt of his head.

"Cup" The long eared boy replied fidgeting with his ears again " I'm slow" he admitted. Kuschel simply liked to savour each mouthful or lick off a spoon and even his cup was usually soggy by the time he was done. " Cones are good though" he said with a smile " Specially waffle" sometimes his father bough him one of the sweetened cones and broke it into bits in the boys ice cream just so he could enjoy that too. Kuschel liked those days best.
Pyran continued to smile as he watched both the boys and the slowly shrinking line, predictably the people ahead of them had kids who couldn't decide what they wanted. At least these two wouldn't drive the poor server nuts when it was there turn.

"Waffle cones are the best." Miles agreed with a nod. "Mom works at a candy shop--so she likes sweet stuff best. Likes making sure I dun have cav--cav-uh-ties." He had trouble pronouncing that word. "Dun want my teeth to fall out." He finished.
Risa smiled at the two boys, while keeping one eye on the line. She was attempting to be patient, but waiting was against her nature. "So, Pyran." She looked to the man, flashing him a bright smile. "What do you do? Do you work?"

" Teeth fall out?" Kuschel asked. The small boy was horrified at the thought, he liked his teeth, a lot.
The redhead nodded " I'm a soldier, currently on paternity leave though." He missed his job certainly but there was a sort of satisfaction he got raising his boys that trumped even the best high from a successfully completed mission.

Miles nodded grimly. "That's what they do when you have too much candy." He said with a slight frown. "I think--and sometimes they fall out without too much candy. Then the tooth fairy comes and brings you stuff." He explained with a nod. "Mostly money."
"Oh, a soldier?" Risa looked interested. She'd never met one before. "It must be hard being away from your job." She said with a nod. "For now I work part time at a sweet shop."
