This is what you need to do.
1. This shouldn't even have to be a rule, but you must be literate. If you sent us a wonderful profile to get a character in a thread, and then your actual role playing is less than adequate, you will most likely be kicked out. Paragraphs are expected (three fat ones minimum per post, to be exact), but of course everyone ends up in a slump sometimes; we understand that. Just do not make it a habit to have short posts. We get that in some situations all you can do is work out a paragraph and a half. Don't panic , just try. Making longer posts helps you to become a better role player, and that's really what we're trying to accomplish, here.
Also, to show us your literacy in order to get in to the guild, please send a sample of your role playing ability (along with your request) to join. This can simply be a link to a role play you are already a part of, or can be made up on the spot.
2. Respect Teph, the crew, and everyone else.
3. If you harass, disrespect, or are otherwise rude to any member of this guild, you will get a warning. This is not something we will take lightly. If you are warned, and then continue to break this rule, you will be banned.
4. No cybering; keep all role playing at a PG-13 or lower rating. No sex, or graphic nudity. Light kisses and touches are acceptable, but if things elevate from there, you must do it elsewhere. (Teph demands a copy.)
5. No god-moding at all. This means you cannot control someone else's character to do your own bidding. (Also: please don't suddenly make it rain when a moment ago it was sunny. Of course, you can change the weather, but don't do it drastically just to fit your needs.)
6. Teph hates the number six. Skip!
7. Proceed to number eight.
8. First or third person is acceptable; whichever tense you prefer to use for role-playing is fine with us.
9. Please, do not role play with one other Gaian, and that player only. This is called "exclusive role playing," and if you are guilty of it, you may get a (friendly) warning.
10. Do not start any of your own threads anywhere but where it is posted explicitly that you may (such as in the Character Profiles sub-forum). We will be running many role plays, and the ones we are running should be more than enough to keep everyone busy, and happy. As we get more members and more people join, we will make more threads of different kinds. If you'd like to request a thread (RP or OOC), you may do so through a PM, or the Suggestion Box.
11. When talking OOC (Out Of Character) in a Role Play thread, please use parenthesis ( ), double parenthesis (( )), or brackets [ ].
12. This is a yaoi-based guild, so try to stick to that. ;D You're welcome to go out of the box, but try not to stray too much.
13. Once you've been accepted into a role play, please go along to the profile thread. Make your character for the thread of your choice, and post him up in Character Profile sub-form. There, you can make your own thread to post up your little collection of characters.
14. When a person is speaking, it should always be quoted "like this." You are more than welcome to color it, but make sure to put quotation marks around anything a character is saying.
15. Please remember to read everyone's posts. I'm already seeing people kind of break off into pairs. Even if you're in a little thing with someone else, make sure you know where other people are, and what they're doing, because they might be interacting with you.
