All righty! : D
So I want to do a combo with some other guys,
so I'd be a Tenor Sax, Bari Sax, and a clarinet!
(And Rhythm of course)
BUUTTT I don't know what music to do.
And I don't really understand how a combo works! XD
Do we all play the same thing or do people play different parts?
I know that there would be different parts, but what about different rhythms and such?
We've thought of a few songs that we found in this big book.
The only one I remember is Take The A Train.
So, does anyone know of any good songs for a combo?
Or anyone want to explain to me what happens in one? CX

Well usually someone writes the parts for original pieces in a combo.
YOu guys could get a realbook or a fake book.
THey have the lead lines and all the chord changes in the book.
There's a book for each respected instrument key. (Eb for alto sax Bb for trumpet etc etc)

I think "Take the A Train" is a great song as it is. You've got to love that Ellington. Oh, another good combo song would be "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy". I've played it before and it is tons of fun. =D
