OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK!
First of all. Wish to let everyone know that you CAN get alt blacks by breeding non-alt blacks together. I have two dragons that are perfect examples.
Second. Breeding Earth dragons to Rock dragons, you CAN end up with geode draggons...It just takes time and diligence. Again, two egs to prove that.
HOWEVER!!! I am having problems breeding my two perfect little silvers to make new little silvers. NO i'm not breeding them together. I already know they won't mix. Sort of like that whole donkey-horse-mule aspect. Any advise on what to breed them with? Or should I keep my trial and error sheet going.

In response.
First Breeding two blacks was the original only way to get an alt black if you were lucky. Now you may add the alt black to the equation.
Second The Pebble dragon (what you call the Earth dragon) can be bred with another Pebble or a Stone (Rock) dragon to get a Geode.
Third Patience. I was breeding my male silvers with pinks (dark), purples and skywings with some limited success in getting silver eggs. I would keep the trial and error sheet going.
