WHAT I DECREE!
1. Donations to this effort are donations. You are NOT 100% guaranteed to be refunded if the funds are not used. This is Setsushi's birthday party, not a bank. But we are trying to set up an honest refund system. See #2:
2. We will try to send unused funds back to the original donators.
2a. The Default system is: Leftover funds of a category to be sent back to the donators in proportion. EXAMPLE: Person A donates 10k, person B donates 40k. If 2k is left over, A gets 400g and B gets 1600g.
2b. Donators can ask for something different to happen to their donation: Either for your share of the remainder to stay with Rika as a Porcelainshop donation, for your share of the remainder to go to someone else, etc.
2c. WE WILL NOT CORRECT ANY ERRORS WE MAKE WHILE REFUNDING. So please join in only if you trust Setsushi & friends.

This means that if you want to participate in the Porcelain/birthday request thread proper, you have to trust Setsushi and the loots with whatever funds you put on your sponsored character. Well, it appears my quest has been called off, so I have my entire inventory to throw at this. XD
... However, I've been browsing around Contests, and... it seems like pickings are kinda slim for contest runners. neutral It seems like there's a relatively small number of artists drawing, and 5 mil isn't enough to entice really shiny artists.
... So, should we perhaps convert this to a Request thread? A Request thread has the additional advantage of allowing us to keep feeding it whenever we want to. 3nodding

Unfortunately, my 20mil quest has all my funds tied up. @_@;; So this will have to be a community effort if it's to get off the ground this summer. I HAVE BEEN FORBIDDEN TO CONTINUE MY QUEST BY JUNYI. MILLIONS OF GOLD TO TOSS AT THIS NOW

Certain people can contribute valuable items or large chunks of gold to sponsor particular characters, couples, or themes. The sponsor will choose the winning art of that category, naturally. DO NOT SEND STUFF TO SETSUSHI YET, for now let's just discuss in this thread. Pledge what you will donate if this happens -- there's a good chance it won't!
I'm afraid that if a prize is too low, people will prefer to draw for the larger "unsponsored" prize, and the chances of your character being drawn will actually decrease. So let's make sure that all sponsorships are at least worth 100k (in pure or items.)
You can also donate to particular categories that are already sponsored. One such category that will need donations is "Not otherwise sponsored" -- meaning "everybody else's Porcelain!" The winner of that one will be picked by Setsushi(+lieutenants?).
