Would you think it would be cool if there was a DOA game or mode were all the characters used weapons? I think it would be sweet. Thsi is were you talk about this idea, and name what weapon or weapons they would use.
Well here are some of my ideas.
Ryu-Katana, Shuriken, Kunai, Bow, energy Sword
Hayate-Katana
Kasumi-Tanto
Ayane-Kunai
Thats all I can really think of right now, but will post if I think of more.

No! No weapons in DOA! Then it would just be Soul Calibur with different people! And as much as I love Soul Calibur them being the same would just be totally lame.

I'm half and half. To me, it'll kinda be cool that they use weapons 3nodding but then it'll seem more soul calibur and mortal combat-ish sweatdrop

the DOA Series should never have weapons in it cause 1. It'd turn into a Soul Calibar/Soul Blade clone but don't get me wrong thought Soul Calibar is a awesome game series 2.Many characters would be left with no weapons cause they don't use weapons (Bass, Jann Lee, Zack, Helena, Lei Fang), and if DOA did something like whats in Mortal Kombat Deception or Deadly Alliance, it still wouldn't be good (again don't get me wrong, MK is an awesome game series too)

I knew they were going to have weapons the moment I saw the trailor, but I just want to see the proof. There is no proof that there will be, but Itagaki had said in an interview that he is thinking of adding weapons.

I also think it'd be interesting, but yes I agree it would be very similar to Soul Calibur. It'd be complicated for the other characters as well, if you think about it. Like Brad Wong...it's hard to think what he'd use because he's just a drunken guy..I don't think he'd use his wine bottle to hit someone....haha ^^;
*Just to add to the list, Jann Lee would use a nunchaku. Bayman could use a knife..maybe. ^-^ *

In an interview with Official X-Box Magazine he said that he wanted to show Namco that he could do a weapons-based fighter jus as good as they can. You'd have to read the one with Kokoro on the cover sweatdrop

Adding weapons to Doa would butcher the essence of fighting that is hand to hand combat.My father and I have talked about this since I was little and playing combat games.Hand to hand always kicks the a** of games where weapons are involved in combat(Less it is a 1 person shooter).Adding the weapons might make it appear that DOA is copying Mortal Kombat or Soul Calibur...which is unacceptible.
