I'm here. Sorry I'm late, our home teacher just left.
My week was...decent. I got a lot of work done.

Maybe you should--I tend to talk too much.
But to start off, what do you know about the law of consecration, and what are your feelings on what you know about it?

Talking too much isn't that bad.... I don't think I talk enough.
Anyways. The law of consecration is when everybody works together and gets an equal amount of things. it was used in the early days of the church but later abandoned. I think it would be cool to live in an area using the law of consecration to have a place that was equal and devoted to the Lord.

Isn't it also known as the "higher law" or something? I remember talking about this in seminary a while ago and my teacher said something about it being a celestial law.

Well, it's not that we all get an equal amount, it's that we all get just what we need for ourselves and our families.
And I agree, I'd love to live the law of consecration. It would solve all of the world's economical problems.

yeah, I was having a hard time coming up with the correct wording that I wanted, so I used equal.
It would solve the problems. and maybe prevent the wars that are coming.

It would definitely prevent wars, since the law of consecration also requires us to have charity for each other, and if we all had charity there would be no war.
To consecrate something means to set it apart for a need outside your own.

The law of consecration is basically just that; consecrating what we don't need so that others can use it. It's the only form of economy that works in a Zion society.
