Mawi Mai was feeling pretty good today. She decided to let some of the cubs decide what they wanted to do today. The twins decided to wander around the pride, her daughter wanted to spend some time with Aapep and now she had one more son. Who wanted to see the rouge lands. Mawi, being the unsure mother that she was, decided to go with her son. Even though when she was younger she wanted around a lot by herself, she decided it would be best this time to go out with her children, atleast until they were a little older... She wandered over a small hill looking around with a smile on her face. Her drum hanging loosely around her neck and her shakers rattling as the breeze went through. She closed her eyes as she enjoyed the wind that blew around her hair and made her feel so much better.
Small cubs padded behind their mother's. A Grin was widely plastered on his face. He was excited to be out and that was all too it. He had been wanting to see the lands other than his homeland and he finally got the chance, looking around at everything they went by as they walked past it. Poking at things every now and again. A purr escaping the back of his throat at all times. Easily keeping up with his mother. He couldn't wait until he had shakers and could make as much noise as his mother did. "Mama! Why did you stop?!" He squeaked as he skittered under his mother's paws and gnawed at her ankles.
Mawi Mai chuckled softly before she licked her son's 'mane.' She looked around before nodding toward a lake not that far off. "I wanted to make sure that you were keeping up. We're heading over there." She grined softly at the idea looking down at him before she started to walk again. "I used to go here all the time when I was younger. I met a lot of friends. It doesn't look like anyone is there now but many others then to stop by there."
Kova'Rytmi's ears perked up at what his mother was saying. His grin grew even wider before he nodded to his mother. "Yes mommy!"; He looked over at it for a moment before quickly scampering after his mother "Hopefully some one will be there!"

Alastair walked at a calm pace. He wasn't in a hurry, and stopped many a time to look at his surroundings. He walked a distance more till a scent, unfamiliar to him, came to his nose. He stood for a moment, smelling two lions. He didn't know why, but he felt curiosity tug at him. He didn't want this encounter to end bably like the last, but he pushed those thoughts aside, and continued in their direction at his same pace.

Mawi Mai smiled and started to slow as they got closer to the water, a smile still on her face and a purr escaping from her maw. She looked back at her son with a smile before padding into the water, her shakers silenced as they floated but she stopped when the water was just slightly above her ankles, getting her shakers wet was fine, but no way was she going to get her drum wet. She looked at her son and nodded. "You can play around Kova. Just make sure I can see you." She grinned at him before closing her eyes, relaxing with the sounds of the water and her son splashing around.
Kova had a large grin as his mother told him he could play around. With out thought he jumped into the water, staying away from his mother a bit so he didn't accidentally get her wet. He was quiet happy splashing after a fish until something caught his attention. He looked up and noticed a male coming their way.
"Mama, some one is coming."
"Hmm?" Mawi Mai opened her eyes and looked over at her son, trying to look around and see what he was talking about. She wandered over to her son and stood above him. She couldn't hear anything but she adjusted her ears so she could pick out some kind of sound with her sharp ears, the ones that had been fine tuned to catch rhythms. "Nice ear Kova." She chuckled softly and looked around. "Your right some one is coming."

Alastair walked up and over a hill, he had gotten closer, and as he narrowed his eyes, he could make out two tiny figures at the bottom. He decided they would be seeing him now anyway, and so he kept going. No use in acting like your not there when you yourself and everyone else already knows you are.

Mawi Mai looked at the male and a small smile grew on her face. She was a little happy so see some one else around glad to know that even though she hadn't been around there in a while people were still hanging out where she used to frequent, she knew if she got bored and wandered out of pride for a bit again she knew she could come here and find some one to talk to. She loved her mate, her pride, and her children but every now and again everyone had the need to travel right? She thought so. She looked up at him as he approached looking down at her soon who looked curious then chuckling softly. "Hello there!" She called out with the same smile on her face
Kova grinned puffing out his chest until he noticed how close the stranger was getting. At the idea of it he quickly hid behind his mother's paw, peaking out just slightly behind it not sure of what to think.

Alastair blinked, "Why hello" He called, walking up to them. He looked at the young cub, and smiled, then turned to who he thought and probably knew was the mother. "I did not mean to intrude." He dipped his head, trying to cover the few scratches and scars on the left side of his face. Though they could visibly see the scratches on his legs, and would probably discover his blind eye.

As the male approached Kova looked up at his mother with wide eyes, slightly scared. "Mama! He has lots of scars!" He squeaked slightly, frantically pawing at his mother's paws then looking at the male again and back at his mother. Before he had his nose bopped gently by his mother. He looked down at his paws before moving under his mother more trying to hide.
"Hush little one." Mawi said nipping at his mini mane chuckling as he got closer to her. "Thats not nice at all to say something like that." She chuckled softly before looking up at the male with a smile. "Oh no! Its fine. I used to roam these lands a lot as a cub, its good to see some one out here." She chuckled softly then nodded again. "I'm showing my son some of the sights around here." She chuckled softly before looking back down at Kova she was little surprised that he was being so shy, then again the little cub had never seen the outside of his pride before, never got to meet other people that didn't know of Rhythm. She wanted him to know what it was like.

Alastair laughed, he smiled back at both of them. "It is rather pretty here," He nodded as he looked around, coming closer, he sat just at the edge of the water. "So," he said turning to Kova, "What's your name boy?" He said jokingly, he never called anyone 'boy' before. He turned to the mother, "I am Alastair, its nice to have company all of the sudden."

Mawi Mai chuckled softly and nodded to him. "Its nice to meet you Alastair." She nudged her cub forward some before nodding to him. "My name is Mawi Mai. And this is my little boy... He has a name... Right?" She looked down at him with a slight smile on her face.
"I-I'm Kova." The little cub squeaked hiding behind his mother's paw once more.
"I'm sorry." Mawi laughed softly. "He's being a little shy." She shook her head softly before she looked at him again. "He normally is a little more friendly.

Alastair smile, "Well thats alright, Hello Kova, protecting your mother? That's a good man," He winked at Kova, "Take good care of your mother." He turned his attention toward Mawi, he had never truely been around cubs, so he felt slightly awkward. "Mawi Mai, thats nice. Where is your pride? So I know not to cross borders." So a fight doesn't happen again... He thought to himself, suddenly feeling his old wounds and the realization of his blindness cut him again. But he smiled at the two of them.

Kova puffed out his chest when the older male asked a question that time. A grin growing on his face then he moved forward a little more boldly. "Of course I am! My daddy told me to watch mommy no matter what is going on, so that is what I'm going to do." He stuck up his chin softly before he wiggled around some and nodded to the male.
Mawi Mai chuckled at her son's sudden boldness, she was glad to see that her son was infact some what like his father. That made her happy. When tshe was younger she remember how Aapep used to act all the time. His words caught her out of the slight day dreaming. "Ah, thank you." Then she chuckled some, she was trying to ignore the scars but she could see her son's gawking some. "Our pride isn't that much away from here. It is a little north from here, but no worries, our pride is welcoming, we don't attack others. unless they attack us first..."

"Oh no, no," He said with a hint of a laugh, "I'd never dream of intruding on anyone or their pride." His tail flicked slightly at his side. "As you can see, I've already had my encounter there." He gave a slight sneer at the cub, it was only play, he had realized he had been staring at his scars. "Of course, also being a bit lame, a lion like myself would do very little in an intrusion. Though you and your cub seem very nice, so I'm guessing your pride would be the same." He nodded, that was nice to know. He wouldn't want another accident.
"Hm, pride life seems to fascinate me, what is it that you do?" He asked, off the other subject, "If you don't mind my sudden interest. Though I don't mean to pry."

Mawi Mai made a small face at the male saying it was the reason for his scars. She cringed before shaking her head. "Our pride would never do that, infact I don't know that many lions who would do that. It is horrible." She shook her head at the idea, she knew she would never do anything like that why would anyone else. The again she had spent all of her life in the same pride, she didn't know what other prides where like when it came to things like that.
She looked at him with a smile. "Well, other than taking care of four little ones." She ruffled her son's tuff of hair. "I'm incharge of teaching the young ones about music, showing them how to make drums and things like that. I rank pretty high in my pride but it doesn't matter to me, I love teaching the cubs, its the best part of the pride to me." She nodded with a grin

"That sounds like a wonderful rank to be in," He smiled at her, and then at Kova. "Wow, making drums sounds fascinating, and music sounds wonderful." He nodded slightly to himself, he could only imagine how it was like there. "Well that sounds fun, do you like music Kova?"

Mawi Mai chuckled softly "I really do love the rank" She chuckled softly before nodding toward him. "Its a lot easier when you like your job but it is still stress full." She chuckled softly before nodding toward him.
Kova looked up at the male before back down at his paws, palying with the sand slightly that was under his paws before shrugging. "I like music, I like all types of music, but I like dancing a lot."He shrugged again.
