Whilst roaming the savannah, a lone and depressed hyena stumbled upon a pair of dogs -- a mother-daughter pair. Tired and weary from his journey, he stayed with them, resting and healing his body. He felt at home with them, having fallen in love with a dog many moons before.
The now rested hyena, about to leave, stopped at the edge of the dogs' den, a new idea forming in his head. A deep desire that had been long submerged came to the surface -- a coalition pack. He had always wanted one, and felt that the time to act was then. Instead of leaving, he turned to the dogs, this time with a proposition. The three of them, together, would form a pack; a pack filled with diversity, although mainly devoted to the new bond between kanine species. They would be devoted to the idea of everlasting peace and simplicity.
Now, after roaming the savannah to find others who supported their cause, Xx'ami-da and the two females reunited. They had gathered many others; others that were willing to help them lead the pack forward. Xx'ami-da was naturally offered the head position, which he accepted humbly. The only discrepency that was left was the issue of having a just pack-- headed by two. Although the two weren't mates, and even though she was a bit young, Uzuri stepped forward to lead the pack with Xx'ami-da.

God(dess): There is no solid worship of a god in the pack. Each clan may have a different belief, but each clan forms the whole pride. There is tolerance in believing if different Gods or Goddesses, and no one is viewed less if they don't believe in the same God(dess).
Pups usually grow up believing in the clan's God/dess if they wish, or not at all, if that is the preferance of the OCC owner of the pup wishes so. The Pup may change clans if they wish when they are Adols or if the parents decide to let the pup be fostered in the other clan.
Hunting: Hunting is a serious business, so the hunters are reguarded very highly. When they leave to hunt, usually in a group, they are presented before the entire pack. This ritual is usually only used during meta-plots requiring it.
Crowning the Mrithi('k**e): The Mrithi and Mrithi'k**e is another highly reguarded rank. They are usually chosen carefully at a young age and subtly trained to become the next Mkuu or Sheikh.
This position can be turned down by the parent(s) if they fear their child won't be a good leader or if they don't want the child to be raised in such a manner. This is usually rare, however. The pup is usually taken from their clan and raised with a different structure of beliefs, though this is also, usually, decided by the parents.
Views on Different Species: As the pack is usually Hyena and Dog, other predetors are allows in, though rare. If a creature is injured and not viewed as a threat to the pack, they may stay until they are better. Sometimes, these creatures may choose to reside within the pack for an indefinate time, and may hold the same ranks as the other species, except Mkuu, Sheikh, or Council.
General Pack Behaviour: As the pack is based on peace, there are usually no major conflicts, like a small, close-knit village. Though conflicts make break out, they usually aren't serious. If they turn to be, it is taken to the council, and further to the Mkuu or Sheikh.
Views on Breedings and Flings: The pack is very tolerant of any form of pairing. Species, Gender, or Quantity usually don't matter, as long as they're quality. Familial units are usually prefered, but other types of pairings are not regarded in any less of a light.
This view came from the first Mkuu, Xx'ami-da, as his first love was that of a different species.
Flings are toleratd, but subtly looked in more of a hesitant light. The pack would prefer a family unit, with two parents. If the mother is single, they are usually absorbed into a clan with at least two parents.
Views on Fighting: Fighting is quite discouraged within the pack, though it is not regarded badly if done in self defense or defending the weak within the pack. In times of conflict, the strong are engrouraged to fight.

........the Shaman; there is one Paroko in each clan. (0/?)
-- Mlinzi --
........the guardians; there is no limit on the number of guardians in the pack, though it takes a certain canine to become a guardian. The guardians are the main protectors of the pack, and serve as leaders if/when a major conflict arises. The guardians will also go out and serve as scouts at times, serveying the surrounding areas. ........the hunters; they hunt for the pack and provide food, as well as protection, in times of need. Unlimited. (0/--)
-- Mlezi --
........the nanny-type figures; they watch over all of the pups while the adults are out doing their daily duties. Two or three per clan. (1/?)

........the youths. Any cub, juve, and adol. is given this rank by default. Adols. can obtain different ranks if deemed worthy of them and fit for them. (7/?)

Clans are families that worship a God or Goddess. Clans mostly consist of a family. Many mates pairs make their own clans. Some familys tend to stay together, and the clan heads may pass their title down to anyone in the clan.

No, the only thing Ade really cares about is having fun and enjoying himself in the here and now. He's a laid back dog and doesn't feel the need to worry.
