Area 21-2 -> Basement Level -> Training Arena
Training Arena
Before you lies a Great Coliseum, built in G Corp fashion. The majority of the area is carved in stone, though Titanium Energy-field reinforced pillars have been set in place to ensure that the area should never cave in for any reason. Elevators from each level line the wall, and are guarded by an energy barrier when a battle is in progress. Here you may test your mettle against your fellow warriors, test out your shiny new gadget, train your personal animal experiment, and just about anything else involving combat. There is a special made machine lying beneath the floor, that downloads the information stored in a persons body upon entrance. Should they meet with death down here, the machine takes their body from the field, uses the information to restore it to the way it was, and releases the person back into the area, free to continue combat, or leave. NOTE: This process is still in a developmental phase. In animal testing, it has created a temporary amnesia within the subject, and sometimes a degree of motion sickness.
The Regen system is currently ONLINE.
There is a digital display board that stands mounted on the wall above the Elevator door. On it, it reads the names of combatants who have battle here, and how many kills were made during battle.

*The elevator from the gate room arrived on the arena floor, and MK stepped out with Goosie still passed out in his arms. The arena was the darkest part of the facility when not in use, and he was hoping that the transgression to the next area would not wake her. The walk across the arena was long, but the memories seemed to fill the air in a haunting manner. MK hurried along and entered another elevator on the opposite side of the room, heading up now to the main floor*

Whisper walked into the arena and looked around her. The place was huge, and she couldn't help but be impressed. She hadn't thought so at first, but she was beginning to think she might actually enjoy this. Still, she knew she was hardly warrior material, so she would need to use some common sense as well. Going to a terminal in the room, she brought up a low level combat simulator. She selected a simple zombie for an opponent and walked to the center of the combat area.
"Wish me luck!" She called back to Tiana in the seating area.

"I guess I kind of understand..." Tiana frowned slightly and followed Whisper, soon emerging in what looked like a coliseum. A bit confused, she took a seat as Whisper moved to the center, almost as if she was going to fight something or someone. All doubt of that was removed when she called for Tiana to wish her luck. "Wait, what are you doing? Are you going to fight someone?" she called out, slightly confused. "You don't have to show off for me!" she joked.

"Mhm, a zombie to be exact. I figure its the best way to give you an idea what I can do. Besides, there are plenty of safety measures in place. I'll be fine!" She shouted back. It was the last response she had time for as a very wicked looking zombie began to come toward her.
Whisper immediately realized that no abilities could finish her opponent alone, and so she darted to the edge of the combat area, picking up a mid length sword. Turning back to face the zombie, she readied herself for its first attack. She had never been much of one for charging in recklessly.
She didn't have to wait long before it came within rage, striking out at her savagely with a misshapen arm. While its arm was still extended, Whisper lashed out with the blade, severing the arm midway between hand and elbow. She knew it would merely slow the creature down, so she didn't waste time. Instinctively she drew on her power, her body beginning to glow a bright white as she did so. She knew a shield spell would only do so much against a physical attack, but it was better than nothing. If she was going to win, she would have to finish her opponent as quickly as possible. With that thought she turned and lunged at the creature, dealing it another savage blow even as it raked her with a clawed hand.

*The security golem Vault entered the Arena from the main level, and walked over to the data panel on the wall. She punched in some data at the terminal and summoned a pair of plague zombies to accompany the one that Whisper had called for. Amused, she walked over and stood near Tiana, watching the battle.*

Still worried, she watched nervously as the zombie approached Whisper. After all, it was a zombie, yet she didn't seem to be worrying too much. Tiana's eyes widened slightly as Whisper began to glow, almost like Koth had earlier, but this was white and much brighter. The two exchanged blows, but it seemed like Whisper at least had an advantage. She was so enthralled with the events, she didn't notice Vault until she was standing next to her. "Oh! Hello there," she said, offering a small smile, only to realized that Whisper now faced three opponents. Confused, she glanced at Vault's amused expression, then back to Whisper, biting her lip nervously.

The side of her face now bloodied, Whisper almost entirely missed seeing that there were more opponents in the area. Becoming aware of the fact, she looked at them in shock. Where the hell had THEY come from?? She suddenly did not feel so confident in her chances. A simple sword against 3 zombies? This did NOT look good.
The other two were nearly upon her by now, and Whisper rolled to the side as quickly as she could, wanting to put all 3 in her field of vision at once. She wiped the side of her face again with her sleeve, annoyed with the tickle of the blood as it flowed. Trying to stay focused, Whisper thought of what might actually deal fatal damage to undead creatures. Most of what could, she could not DO. She would have to improvise. Drawing again on her power, she drew forth an orb of light and hurled it at one of the plague zombies. It would not harm the creature, but it WOULD blind it. Even as it staggered, she struck as hard as she could with her sword against its neck, hoping to sever the head.

Much to her relief, the blow landed solidly, and she saw the head roll away. That still left two, and one of them bit her violently on the arm. Whisper screamed out, half in anger, half in pain. This was INSANE, she thought. So much for a little exercise. Without even thinking, she reacted. Her body glowed a still brighter white, more of her power welling up within her. Extending her hand toward one of the monsters, Whisper cried out again, this time as a wide beam of white energy lanced out at, and THROUGH the creature.
She stood stunned for a moment, the creatures entire chest cavity now GONE. The edges of the gaping wound were dripping gore, seemingly melted by the energy. "What. The. HELL. was THAT." She wondered out loud, her eyes still wide even as the 3rd zombie struck out at her again.

Things weren't looking so good anymore. Whisper was out there with three zombies, never mind where the other two came from, and Tiana was simply standing off to the side uselessly. At times like this, perhaps being normal wasn't so great after all. Upon hearing Vault's voice, she looked up again, shaking her head slowly. "She's going to be okay, right?" she asked, her question somewhat answered by the beam of light illuminating the arena. Her eyes widened and her attention snapped back to Whisper, who seemed just as shocked as Tiana.

Andrew stepped into the viewing area and watched.
"Wow, intense."
He paused with a thoughtful look on his face.
"Wait... was that a spark comming off of Vault?"

The remaining zombie, her original opponent, landed another blow across her chest. It sent her staggering backwards, still somewhat caught off guard and distracted. Shaking her head to clear it, Whisper grabbed for the sword where it had fallen to the ground. She tried to get to her feet, but she felt so drained now. She just wanted to stop and rest. Staggering again, she tried to figure what her next move could be. Thinking as quickly as she could, Whisper half crawled toward one of the two slumped bodies on the floor, putting it between herself and the creature. She sincerely hoped it wasn't intelligent enough to watch where it was going.
