So, how's your tests, exams and whatever else you need to do in this last month and weeks of school? I hope you're all good and me holding thumbs for you works?

I have a research paper due next week and I have NO time to revise it and work on it.

I had a Swedish exam last Monday, got a 2/5 of it, which was good since the teacher asked questions that were irrelevant to the whole course, so I basically studied the course material for nothing. Those who didn't study at all for the exam got as good a grade as I did and I'd studied. That pisses me off.

I have a Spanish hearing exam this upcoming Monday, English AND German exams on Tuesday (8am-10am and then 5.30pm-7pm, I ******** hate having exams spread out like this) and then Spanish written exam on Wednesday.

And I have a 12-15 page learning diary on my communications major class to write and return by the 25th. I've written all but a summary and some thoughts on the course on it. I should have enough time to do that and print the whole thing within a week.

Mana: geez... 7 hours between exams? I mean, I wasn't complaining when I had this kind of spread with me having just 5 minutes from my bed to any classroom, but for you...

Digi: lol, I'm glad I'm not going back to it.
Though I'm pushed towards one exam...

Yeah, it's so annoying! Last autumn they did the same thing, though it was English from 9-11 and German from 5.30-7. I don't know how they expect us to be of fresh memory at that time of the evening, after a long day of waiting beforehand. It never used to be like this, all our exams started by 4pm, but ever since last autumn they've made ridiculous changes to our curriculum, schedules and exam times. And I'm not going home between the exams, because I'd just sleep and not study. I'm staying at school after the English exam, going to eat well, study, eat some ice cream, study, take a nap, and chill before the exam. Just like I did last autumn. I really do hope I pass the German exam...

Man school was simply alright. I mean I passed everything. I made some cool new friends and all that. College was pretty cool and all that stuff. I just had to get used to being pushed to do my own thing.

BTW - it always wondered me - do you like have to take some external exams to verify your knowledge? I was always wondering how you compare homeschooled kids to kids going to regular schools where there are exams, tests and, better or worse, progress monitoring versus the rest of the kids.

it depends for me i am trying to attend a private school in the fall... and i have to take tests for them to verify where i am. but if you have the standard tests to pass grades you send those in

Hmmm.... I'm glad this isn't practiced in Poland then. It'd be totally abused here.

Spanish listening over! I feel embarrassed though since I confused the numbers 15 (quince) and 500 (quinientos) with each other and only realised it afterwards... oh well, I have to just do better in the written exam to get a good end result from the whole course.

And tomorrow: the worst day ever, officially. I am so not looking forward to getting up at 6am and going to school before 8am just to get in the exam room in time. And then being stuck at that place for 11 hours.

Mana: my friend confused 15 with 50 while we were in Spain last summer... so... don't feel embarrased. It's possible.
