

The sun was rising slowly over the horizon, flooding the fields and forests with a warm glow. Spring was turning to summer now; the air, already warm, would soon begin to swelter. Akira wasn't sure she could stand the summer heat. She was in a new place, new surroundings, new climate and she hadn't adjusted yet. She rose to her hooves as the sun came fully over the horizons edge and made her way to the shade of a nearby tree. She had taken a somewhat permanent residence in the forest near a small clearing, finding the vast amount of shade ideal for her. It reminded her of her old home; it was perfect.
But it did have it's drawbacks. Since she had come to this area she had met so few soquili. Laying down in the shade of the tree she sighed heavily.
