This is not based on movies or such. If these two were to go into a true battle who would win? (In your opinion)
This is an age old paring.
I myself would say Star Scream. He is a good planner and manipulator. He just likes to wait until things are in his favor.

Megatron has the immense power but lacks completing his ambitions in the sense that his plans are always foiled.
Starscream has the tactical strategical advantage but lacks the power needed to overthrow Megatron. Hell he was able to create the Combaticons on an almost seemingly deserted island.
I've said it once and I'll say it again for any same-faction, who's better than who, scenario. It's a matter of Fanboyism (though the majority or Starscreams Fans are girls). There are those who part with Megatron and say that He's best suited for Decepticon leader, where there are others who cream their pants at the thought of Starscream overthrowing Megatron. Regardless, It's not going to happen. Because of the immense fanboyism for both of them Megatron will always come back as Galvatron and Starscream will come back as a ""ghost"".

Clearly Starscream would have if he relied while Megs was a Gun he could easily disposed of him so long as the location provided the right stuff to dispose of the over glorified trash compactor

Megsy, outsmarts most of starscream's plans sometimes. Has more of a battle experience. Star may have scientist smarts and some battle experience, but megsy has more of an experience.

megatron fo sho. not only will he come back as galvatron but unicron always goes for megatron for his power and leadership. now sound wave could probly be a good leader if megatron ever died lol. he allways has the vote of his minicon things lol. just throwin that in there.
