M42 pistol
Multi-role pistol
Caliber: 11.5x22mm
Capacity: 15 rounds
The standard sidearm for all Darkstar forces, the M42 is a lightweight, reliable firearm designed for accuracy and power. It’s .45 caliber round packs considerable firepower, and is excellent for short to medium range. It comes standard equipped with a dual laser sight/ flashlight, and can be outfitted with a suppressor and aperture sights.
Type 19 SMG
Submachine gun
Caliber: 11.5x22mm
Capacity: 30 rounds, 60 rounds (drum)
The T19 is a lightweight, compact submachine gun, featuring a unique recoil reduction system that dampens the recoil of the .45 caliber round. This gives it excellent accuracy, even in fully automatic fire. It is commonly carried by the Darkstar police force, but is often found in the hands of gang members and criminal organizations, as well.
R82 shotgun
Pump-action dual-magazine shotgun

Capacity: 12 rounds (double tube magazines)
The R82 is the standard shotgun of Darkstar, and features a unique design of two magazines instead of one. It can hold six rounds of two types, one type in each magazine, or it can hold twelve rounds of one type. It can also be set to fire from one magazine, or from both alternately. It’s bullpup design gives it a small size, but requires it’s pump-action to operate backwards, being pumped towards the muzzle.
V117 Gauss rifle
Magnetically accelerated assault rifle
Caliber: 8mm depleted uranium caseless slugs, 40mm caseless smart grenades
Capacity: 60 rounds (rifle), 3 rounds (launcher)
A powerful weapon, the V117 uses magnetic acceleration technology to fire it’s slugs, rather than conventional chemical propulsion. It fires 8mm DU slugs capable of penetrating light armor on combat vehicles such as mechs, as well as most forms of body armor short of energy shielding. It is also equipped with an airburst grenade launcher for entrenched positions. It was designed as an advanced infantry weapon, and features an internal computer in the foregrip, which monitors ammunition, the charge of the power cell, and programs the airburst grenades. The weapon becomes useless if exposed to large amounts of electromagnetic energy. It is often found in the hands of more powerful criminal organizations.
MG-360
Light machine gun
Caliber: 7.62x45mm
Capacity: 230 rounds (belt)
The MG-360 is the primary light machine gun carried by Darkstar when necessary. It is a powerful weapon that takes the best of many older machine guns, and combines them into one. It is capable of a rate of fire of almost 1,250 rounds per minute. Due to it’s power, it is kept under strict lock and key by Darkstar.
SMK Sniper Rifle

Caliber: .50 Riviera
Capacity: 10 rounds
The SMK is Darkstar’s primary sniper rifle, and was designed to use a round commonly found on Riviera. It can hit targets up to three miles away, and can penetrate up to 10mm of titanium armor. It is kept under strict lock and key by Darkstar.
Type 37 RPG
Rocket-propelled grenade launcher
Caliber: 20x120mm RPG
Capacity: 6 rounds
The Type 37 is the heaviest weapon available to Darkstar forces. It fires rocket-propelled grenades of various types, and is meant as a multi-role assault weapon. It’s rounds were designed to be safely fired inside of spacecraft, without the risk of compromising the hull. It is kept under strict lock and key by Darkstar, and only ten of them exist on-board TranCity. It is illegal for anyone outside of Darkstar to operate and own a Type 37, and anyone caught with one will be punished according to Darkstar’s own rules.
X3 Stun Gun
Directed energy less-than-lethal weapon
The X3 uses an electrostatic charge to stun targets. It functions, effectively, as the 21st century Taser did, rendering the person unable to move for ten seconds by causing a miniature seizure, rendering the person unable to use their muscles to move. It is a very low charge, and cannot be set to kill targets. The X3 is very common as a defensive weapon.
PSX-42 Phaser Pistol
Directed-energy pistol
The PSX-42 is a directed-energy weapon available only to Darkstar officers. Due to it’s high cost and low numbers, it is difficult for anyone outside of the company to obtain one. It uses a directed beam of energy, which can be set to four settings: “Stun”, “Kill”, “Vaporize” and “EM Burst”. It’s power cell automatically recharges after each shot, preparing for the next shot. The pistol is illegal to own outside of Darkstar, and anyone caught with one will be punished severely.
RSX-19 Phaser Rifle
Directed-energy assault rifle
A Darkstar weapon meant for advanced combat units, it is more powerful, and even harder to obtain than it’s pistol counterpart. It is a fully automatic assault rifle that fires pulses of directed energy. It is capable of the same settings as the PSX-42, but is far stronger. Like the PSX-42, the RSX-19 is illegal to own outside of Darkstar. Only three exist on board TranCity, and are kept in the hands of the higher-ranking officers.
F7 Galilean Linear Directed Energy Rifle

The F7 GLDER, or “Gelder”, is another directed-energy weapon developed by Darkstar for it’s operatives. It fires an ionized laser that can reach out and touch a target at five miles away. Because the beam travels at lightspeed, it is impossible to dodge. Only one rifle of this kind exists on TranCity, in the hands of the Director of Security for Darkstar forces.

Capacity: single-shot
The Type 19 HVML is one of the most powerful weapons ever developed. It is effectively a railgun, designed for destroying both tanks and aircraft. It has no guidance system and no warhead; the round travels at ten percent of light speed, so nothing in an atmosphere can avoid it, and it has enough kinetic energy to utterly destroy anything it comes into contact with. The only one aboard TranCity is equipped to the “Tarantula” mech inside Darkstar’s hangar.
Mk 26 grenade
Dual-mode stun/ high-explosive grenade
The Mk 26 is a dual-mode grenade, capable of either stunning the enemy, or generating an explosion capable of killing anyone in a 12-foot radius. Due to it’s power, it is strictly supervised by Darkstar forces.
F17 Plasma Blade
Plasma-energy melee weapon
The F17 is a melee weapon that utilizes plasma instead of a solid blade or blunt edge. It has two modes, “Blunt” and “Cut”. In “Blunt”, it acts as a billy club, used to club enemies for less-than-lethal effect. In “Cut” mode, it can slice through flesh, bone, and steel or titanium armor. Darkstar offers a civilian version, the VC17, which only features the “Blunt” mode.
Mk 7 Plasma Shield Emitter
Personal shield emitter
The Mk 7 PSE is one of Darkstar’s most advance pieces of equipment, available to both it’s own operatives and civilians, though at a hefty price tag few can afford it. It generates a field of plasma that can either be directed in front of the user, or surround everything surrounding the emitter in a three square foot radius. The shield can reflect melee, projectile and directed energy attacks, though highly focused beams of energy, such as that from the F7 “Gelder” rifle, can penetrate by simply forcing aside the plasma ions. It can sustain a closed environment, holding in any air inside it’s radius when activated, though it does not protect against a vacuum. The shield absorbs energy as it is struck; if too much energy is absorbed, a failsafe activates, breaking the shield, and requiring to bleed off the excess energy for two minutes.
An advanced version, the Mk 10, is equipped to the “Tarantula” mech.
