"I guess I screwed up big time." Quinn sighed. He had never meant to hurt anyone and to hear he had done so had crushed him. "I suppose all I can do is apologize and hope it makes things right." She liked books, so maybe if he brought one, she'd be a little more receptive to what he had to say? He shook his head as he picked a book from his meager collection. It was his favorite, hopefully she would enjoy it as well. IF she accepted it, that was. He felt like an idiot. An uncertain, guilt-ridden, depressed idiot. "I guess... this will either fix things, or make it worse." Now he only had to get up the nerve to find out where she was, or were she lived.

Lunaria felt much better after having made up with Soya. It seemed that she might have made some assumptions about her rambunctious sister. She was willing to consider that she may also have been a little bit harsh towards Rowan and Quinn, although for reasons she couldn't explain, she still felt very hurt by Quinn and it was bothering her.
So, as was her wont, she was trying to forget her problems by reading. Lunaria was in one of her favorite spots, curled up under a shady tree in her front yard, nose burried in her book of fairy tales.

With another sigh, Quinn gathered up his courage as he headed out, trying to figure out what to say as he went. He had gotten very general directions to where he might find her or her home, but frankly "north" wasn't much to go by. Noxi probably wasn't the best person to get directions from.
This was going to be harder than he thought, in more than one aspect.
So, he flew, taking short breaks here and there. His wings were not strong enough to carry him long distances. The trip took longer than it should have, him taking wide, halting circles, hoping to spot someone he knew. He barely missed spotting Lunaria, and landed down the street from her house. He'd head over when he caught his breath again.
After a few moments, he made his way towards her, stopping near the edge of the yard. "Umm.... Hi..."

Lunaria was completely caught up in her book of fables, to the point of being unaware of anything going on about her. Reading the part where Snow White was meeting all Seven of the "funny little children" Lunaria was smilling and laughing to herself as she shifted to put her nose closer to the book and wrapped her tail closer about her.

Quinn chewed the inside of his cheek. She was deeply engrossed in her book and he was nervous, embarrassed even. He'd have to make his presence a little better known. Taking a deep breath to collect himself, he moved a few feet closer, and spoke just a bit louder than he did before. "Umm. Lunaria?"

Lunaria started at the voice nearby and jumped with a small gasp. Looking about her she spotted Quinn and blushed without thinking. " Oh....ah...Sorry, I was reading....." Unsure what to say Lunaria's words trailed off at the end as she looked back down towards her book, not seeing the words on the page this time as her mind raced wondering what on earth Quinn was doing here.

"Oh. Umm. I didn't mean to bother you..." Quinn moved a bit closer before siting on the lawn, his tail wrapping around the front of his legs. "I, uhh.. talked to Illeyana the other day... Well, actually, she chewed me out... Umm... I guess I was a complete moron, and I would like to give you my apologizes if you would accept them... I really didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I would never intentionally do so... Oh. Umm. Here." He clumsily reach for the book he brought. A collection of short stories.

Lunaria's face flushes at the mention of what Illeyana did. " I'm really sorry about that, I told her not to say anything. Illeyana was really just trying to look out for me, I hope she didn't hurt your feelings."
She smiles shyly at the ground before speaking again "As for excepting your apology of course I will...." Her words trail off to see what he's reaching for. Standing up with a small stretch she slowly walks closer to him to look at the book. " Oh...wow..." Lunaria is obviously quite taken aback by the gift. "You brought me a book? No one has ever thought to do that before.....Thank you, very much....I've never read many short stories. I mostly read Em's books, and she doesn't have any."

"Oh. It's alright... I know she cares for you and she was just watching out for you... And I probably wouldn't have known if she didn't tell me." Quinn smiled awkwardly. It would seem he inherited some of his mother's airheadedness.
"Oh. You're welcome. It's one of my favorites, I thought you might enjoy it..."

"I'm sorry about the whole mess too. I was a bit childish and let my feelings be hurt to easily" As she spoke she flipped the cover open to the title page with a paw and scanned the titles.
At hearing that its one of his favorites she blushed deeper and looked up with surprise on her face. " Goodness! I couldn't accept your favorite book! That would be.....or at least should be some kind of a sin!"

"I don't think you should have to apologize for your feelings..." Quinn smiled, shifting his wings on his back as he moved a bit closer to her. "You have a right to them. All anyone can do is talk about them."
"I've read it so many times, I about have them all memorized. And I wouldn't mind having someone to discuss them with."

Lunaria's face lit up with a shy smile. "Thats very sweet of you Quinn, I'll treasure the gift." She blushed slightly and looked back down at the book to compose herself for a moment.
"Hmm, and I'm not so much apologizing for my feelings, I agree with you that isn't right. But rather I'm sorry that I let them get in the way, I should have spoken up rather than...well....seething." She looked quite abashed to make that confession.

"I think, that is partially my fault too. I should have realized that I hurt your feelings sooner." Quinn laid down, his head lowered in thought. "How about... We promise to tell each other if one of us hurts the our feelings? So we can apologize right away, and neither of us has to feel sad because of it."

She looked off thoughtfully for a moment before speaking, the tip of her tail waving unconsciously. " It will be a bit hard to do because when you get hurt you feel vulnerable, and saying your hurt opens you up more. But it makes sense, especially to keep either of us from being sad." She blushed at this revelation and looked hurriedly back down at the ground again.
