This year, as I opened my yearbook and frantically looked through the pages, I realized they forgot the music program... from chorus to marching band to guard. Everything.
We didn't even have a club picture... they had a page for our mascot, but not us. gonk
Anyways, I'm not too upset because it's my senior year, but the yearbook is now fixing about four pages of just band, so I'm satisfied. 3nodding
Has anything like this ever happened to you? Has your own school forgotten about you in any form of media?

About two years ago they mislabeled the pictures of the bands, where the picture of the wind ensemble was labeled as concert band and symphonic band was wind ensemble. I think the wind ensemble was pretty mad xP

I've never have had that happened but that would suck. But then again we have 56 pages in our yearbook and the musical is pg. 51-54 (pg. 55 and 56 are autographs) so it sucks cause we're the last thing. But then again...best for last. lol.

My school is too afraid of what our band might do if they forget us.

We've had such bad problems with the publishers of past yearbooks...they haven't forgotten the band, luckily. But they forgot PEOPLE. Like, people's pictures in the main part of the yearbook. They had to get a whole second edition printed and told people to cut-and-paste missing pictures into the one with the missing ones. It was ridiculous. We haven't used that company since. Lol.
Now, there's only a few mistakes. My friend was missing last year, for example. XD

The band moms were having a TRIP with this. I talked to some friends on yearbook that felt bad. Our music program is pretty tiny though, as for marching band we're 1A.. and it's extremely overlooked. For our homecoming game, the school announced all the names of the seniors in football and cheerleading, and didn't mention ANY band seniors.
It was pretty upsetting.

Our band is pretty well recognized in the school just because we show up for most of the sporting events. sweatdrop so they make sure we get our pages...unless they want a bandless halftime... 3nodding

The school is scared to forget about us (I'm positive) because we're the best program (Or one of) at our school (The music programs). If they forgot us, we would be pitching HELL at them.

at least everybodies band's are in the year books, we didn't even get a dedicated section, all we had was one page that was mixed with the chorus and random pictures throughout the yearbook that were based around other events and the band just ended up being there...

our school left out our entire music dept. last year.
that's right. not forgot. LEFT OUT. as in, on purpose.
The music dept at our school is basically it's biggest asset. That along with the theatre and arts depts. Not even kidding, our football team is the worst in our confrence, and they get more recognition than us. And we've won Grammys.
But in any case, in last year's yearbook, they left out the entire music dept, on the grounds that music is a class, not a club, and didn't have to be "featured" every year.
Just guess how well that went over with the music dept.
The music teachers were pissed, apparently they didn't even know we weren't going to be in it, and last year's seniors threw a s**t fit. They created a facebook group against it, stating they wanted their money back, and wrote letters to the school complaining. Eventually, they decided to create an "insert" that was basically glued into the remaining yearbooks before they were distributed.
