Nature/Time/Measurements

Seasons
white season/bareleaf - Winter
green season/greenleaf - Spring
sun season/brightleaf - Summer
gold season/goldleaf - Autumn

a hand - a unit of measuring:
1. an hour (ie: "a hand's worth of time")
Fact: You can in actuality measure the time until nightfall with your hand. Find the position of the sun. Fully extend your arm, point your hand so the fingers are pointing to the side and palm is toward you. The number of handwidths (ignoring your thumb) that fit from the horizon to where the sun is equals how many hours until sunset. Each of your fingers roughly breaks down into 15 minutes.

2. height or length
Example: a light riding horse can average 15 hands in height, give or take a few.
