The day was brighter than normal, even warmer than normal. It seemed hotter than it should be. But this all made no difference to Mint. She was feeling the wind in a small spot near a lake. She couldn't see the sun, even if she wanted too, as well, but Mint did not hold this as setback. This was the only world she knew, darkness. She didn't know what other namrah looked like, she didn't know what she looked like.. You'd think someone would be devastated or completely depressed because of this. Living in a world where you can only survive by sight-- that's not true. You can survive by hearing, but not emotionally.
Mint smiled to herself, a very happy one as she hummed out. She was humming a small tune that she learned along the way of her sightless travels. The song came from a male, but she wasn't sure from who, so she could only thank him by humming out his song as loud as she could, hopping others would hear.

The shade of the tree was falling onto Nek's lap, helping her to not notice the sun as it dried off her feet. She had finally taken them out of the water, but only because the cold of the stream had begun to make her shiver and the shivering had begun to make her wake up. It had taken minimal effort to move them out of the water, for which she would ave been glad if she had not been trying to avoid feeling anything still.
But what would have been refleif was quickly shattered as a noise entered her ears, some sort of humming that was growing louder with each second it continued. Her face scrunched up in distaste and she turned on her side, draping one arm over the ear that wasn't pressed against the ground to try and block out the noise.

Mint's humming grew to the loudest she could make it. It wasn't an annoying tune, not too high, but kinda of repetitive. It was a gentle and mischievous tune that could easily catch the attention, even to those who didn't want to.
She stood up and stretched herself out, letting a squeak erupt through her humming, momentarily pausing and she begins feeling around the grass and taking soft steps. "Ohhh~ What a beautiful day!" She giggled and took a few steps forward, 'watching' the environment around her through there sounds. The chirping of the birds made her ears twitch and her tail flick back and forth. But the sounds were lovely to her, and they encouraged her to continue humming but a bit softer so she could here the birds chirp along with he new music.
As she humms, she begins a new tone, one that can almost seem nostalgic, it rang through out. The trees shaking as the wind blows to the tune, or is that she's humming to the sound of the wind?

For a moment the humming ceased to strain her ears, but then it was replaced with a new tune, one that pulled at all of the emotions trying to fight their way into Nek's consious. She stayed how she was for a minute, rigid, and refusing to give up the solace of her sleep.
When she could take in no longer she sat bolt upright, letting out the breath she had been holding and the frustration that had taken hold of her at being woken up in one loud yell, "STOP IT AND LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" Her eyes opened and she glared around, at first not really aware of where she was or what she was doing other than that there was something she was avoiding.
Her nerves slowly calmed and her fears came back at her one by one, the lack of finding the cause of the humming only serving to stress her more. Unsheathing her sword, she let out a battle cry and swung it as hard as she could, burying it in the tree so far that it would take her a while to try prying it out. The act had served to release some of her anger and to put her sword out of easy reach so she could not lose herself in a rage and use it on an innocent bystandered.
She unclenched her fingers from the handle and let her hand drop to her side, "Just... Leave me alone..."

A soft happy sigh escaped her mouth as she hummed, a few words followed a long to make a senseless poem. They meant nothing at all, but seemed to be a catchier tune than the nostalgic one she had been humming... then all of a sudden she let out a gasp, a loud yell pierced her ears, causing her singing and humming to come to a complete halt. "H-hello?" She called out loudly. The voice sounded pained to her and she was afraid that someone had gotten hurt.
Mint padded faster and a bit harder in the grass to see her surrounding more, trying to sense where the being that screamed was. She was searching for a few seconds before she heard a screeching noise that caused her to fall forward. It sounded like that of a pained tree to her. The trees never talked allowed, but when they were hurt.. they screamed loudly in the wind.
"W-w-what was that?!" She yelled loudly, frightened beyond belief and stumbling around now. A distraction caused her to lose her balance from the way she sees things.

"Go away!" Nek cried back to the frantic yell, turning around at hearing someone stumble into the small clearing behind her. Her green-blue gaze caught sight of a Namir running around, frightened seemingly out of its wits. She sighed in frustration, actually happy for the distraction finding the scource of the humming provided. But now that she had found the scource, her thoughts again turned inwards and she had to growl to bring herself back to the present.
At least, bring her back long enough to stand up and yell at the Namir, "I said go away!" She was in no mood to try having anything resembling a normal conversation and she didn't think the startled Namir she was looking at would up for something like that, either.

Her ears twitch back, frightened and wanting to gain her balance back, but the yelling continued distract her. She continue to stumble even more from this and practically fall to her legs and letting out pants, whimpering to herself a bit. "W-what did I do, I don't understand.." She shuddered from the yelling again, but found out that it was from a namir by a certain accent they all have to her ears.
"P-please.. I-I'll leave in a few minutes.. could you just let me gain back my ways.. I-I can't see from the screeching of that tree.." She nodded her head shakily at the tree which had Nek's sword shoved in side. "It's yelling is unbearable.. and I can't see around with it... I-It over powers the wind and the other animals. I can't stand it.. It's terribly painful as well.."

For a moment Nek looked confused, but then she thought that the Namir in front might be part Driad just as she was part Water Nymph and reached for the sword. Her hand trembled as she took it, the mere act of releasing it from its makeshift prison threatening to release the anger that had come with finding herself in the waking world again. Finally, she wrenched it free and fell backwards, both herself and the sword landing in the stream.
"Is that better?" she asked, her voice harsh but not sneering. Shivers began to wrack her body again, but since she was already awake she didn't bother removing herself from the stream. To do so would require picking up her sword again anyways. So she just sat and waited for the other Namir to regain their focus, "C-c-can y-y-you l-l-leave n-n-now?"

She shuddered deeply at hearing this movement, and lets out a sigh at the lack of noise now.. she moved her paws around, feeling for a spot to stand up on... but she can't seem to find her balance yet. "That's much better.. b-but I can't seem to feel anything right now I-I'm sorry.."
She let out a sigh and moved her paws around to feel again. She heard a splash and her head lifted up, showing Nek the milky whites and unblinking lids. "Are you okay, what happened..? Why where you screaming before..." Mint's face looked curiously at Nek's and tilted her head. "Did the tree hurt you, is that why you .. um, stabbed it? I'm not sure what you did but it was screaming loudly through the wind.. It wasn't too pleasurable.." Her ears twitched back as she continues looking for a way to stand up.

"N-n-nothing happened," Nek tried to say through her chattering teeth, "I just woke up in a bad mood and figured it would be better to stab the tree than to accidentally stab a person later... Though I suppose a Driad would see that as the same thing..." That was as close as she would ever come to saying sorry about stabbing the tree, and in her current mood she didn't really care if it was accepted or not.
She moved her arms slightly so that her hands were out of the water and folded across her torsoe, attempting to retain some warmth and resist picking up her sword, still not ready to attempt dealing with her emotions quite yet. Focusing on this other Namir helped, again, when she showed the milkyness of her eyes, but again only for a short time since Nek had met a blind person before and knew what the milky eyes meant.
She shifted her legs until she was sitting cross-legged, with her sword in front of her, and tried to wait patiently for the other Namir to leave.

Her eyes blinked slowly as she stopped moving from her spot now, curious in the other one and wondering why she was still in the lake, from the sound of the splashing. "What's a driad? And no.. my hearing is better than most namir so I tend to hear strange things, like the trees screaming in pain. It's very sad actually.. I'm hopping that one day I can stop hearing that! I would rather stumble for the rest of my days. It's better than that noise.. " Her face falls as she speaks about this and she shifts.
Hr tail wraps around her legs as her paws come back to her side. "I'm sorry.. I can't really move too much.. Am I bothering you? Is that why you're staying in the water, aren't you cold..?" Mint tilted her head again in question."Oh but then again it must feel nice.. the sun is getting to be quiet hot!"

"A driad is a Fae who synchronizes with the life forces of trees..." Nek explained, listening to the other with slimmer and slimmer impatience. It was actually getting more tempting for her to pick up her sword, if only to be actually doing something other than sitting in the frigid water listening to the other Namir talk. She gritted her teeth, trying to sound as calm as possible through her gritted teeth, "I said before for you to go away, what makes you think that you wouldn't be bothering me by staying?!"
She let out a yell and forced herself to lay back in the stream, submerging herself as far as she could so that only the tops of her arms still folded over her chest were above the water. The sound of the other Namir's chatter died away and her sword was both out of sight and reach. It felt so cold, and so comfortable, and so quiet, that she almost forgot she had to breath and sat up a few minutes later gasping for breath.
Wondering if the other Namir could have gone away in that small period of time, she waited for the water to drip from her eyes so that she could look and see if the other was still there.

"A Driad.. Fae...?" Her face looked perplexed at this. "Ohh.. that would be wonderful! I would love to synchronize with a plant...! How do you know of something like this?" She tilted her head at this. "Because I didn't do anything to you.. I didn't think you would be bothered by me... And i-it is your fault T-that I'm here!"
She let out a small squeak at talking back to other namrah, shifting and her ears twitch at the sound of the splash, shifting towards the tree she stabbed and sits over there. Her face is staring at the lake in which the other one is sitting at. A soft voice escapes her mouth and she begins humming again, closing her eyes despite already not being able to see.
Mint's new song is of a depressing tone.. one reaching out and seems to be wishing for someone to be there. It tells a story of abandonment and wonder..

"...The world I originally come from is not this one..." she explained, having thought about how she would reply if the Namir was still there when she sat up from the water, "And it's not my fault your incessant humming got me aggravated enough to stab a tree!"
The humming resuming made Nek wince, the tone of the sound resonating with her dreams and making them return with full clarity to her mind, "S-stop it!"
She hunched over and grasped her sword, glad that water surrounded her enough to keep her from running straight ahead. Her eyes melded into darkened pools of murky water, which would have possibly served as a warning had the other Namir been able to see. "I said STOP IT!!!" she screamed, slashing her sword once at the water in anguish before plunging it as deeply as she could into the stream's underwater bed.

She continued to home nonchalantly as the other spoke.. but opened her eyes to look over at the other and then shudders at the screaming, she winces at the screaming and then gasps in fear at feeling something unknown to her.
"What is w-wrong with you.. W-why.. Is my humming really that bad..!?" She whimpers softly and tries to shift away, but can move too far due to the distracting noise again. "I-I don't understand why ... Does it have to do with the place you come from originally, is that why my humming is bad?!
Mont chokes in fear over her words, but stays strong, due to the point that she cannot move anyway.
