Just as a reminder
You cannot be an artificial intellegence, nor be part of the ship or the ship's crew.
You must have emotions and mortality.
You cannot be an unstoppable killing machine or a hostile alien.
You can play as a human, mutated human, alien or "other" so long as you can prove your alive AND sentient, we're good.
Otherwise it's completely free form.
Start with your name age on the first two lines then make a picture of your character on tektek to post on this thread
These are 20 questions to help you figure out character creation, reply to this topic with the answers to the questions. Edit as you need to help round out your character.

Name: Serena Crowl Age: 22

1) Where is your character from?
Serena wasn't born on a home world, but on an agricultural ship that her parents worked on. Due to this, she has citizenship to some back water planet, and not to where she grew up. A immigrant to her home world she always felt displaced. A farm in a temperate climate, near the ocean was where her parents had started a life, and they worked hard to provide food and shelter. With clean air, and abundant water, crops were good, and grew tall and strong. Although it seemed like a perfect place, there were constant dangers from wildlife. Evolution creating a hybrid between a bear, gorilla and wolf. Which started the myths and legends for the area about the Werebawg. Several people were killed each month because they were walking unprotected, but Serena's father was very alert and protected his family well.
2) What is your character's physical description?
Human apart from a shoulder replacement and hand reconstruction due to a near Werebawg attack when she was just ten years old. Her right arm looks the same, due to the regrowth of muscle and skin, but the bones in two places are high strength alloy. Most of the time she doesn't even notice. Jam jars are easy for her though. Black hair that is naturally wavy, and reaches that base of her back is more than often messy and a little wild. Her blue eyes are dark, and could be mistaken for a gray or black pigment if looking with just a glance. Around 5'6'' she isn't tall but isn't short, and has a good build from working in fields and staying in shape. One of the possessions that Serena brought with her on-board the ship was a black simple cloak. It helps to make her feel better and is like a safety blanket. It also helps to hide her face, and a pair of low magnification black rimmed glasses, which hides a natural beauty which proves affective in avoiding rather 'crude' men.
3) What kind of Mannerisms does your character have?
Normally Serena act's quiet dependable, but sometimes will forget things rather easily, or will go off on an entirely different tangent. Due to her horticultural knowledge, she is often slightly high or inebriated on drugs. Overall, she is quiet and likes to be left alone. Society often accepts her because of her produce, but may not like her that much.
4) What is your characters motivation to be on-board Trancity?
Serena is moving on in life, and is starting her own enterprise and adventure. Looking for riches by providing high end goods to the rich, and trading in less than proper substances. Whether it's a herbal remedy or a plant or animal based toxin you are after, most likely she can create something very similar. And not everyone can afford to pay for a top rate transport, and this way she can be making money, not just spending it.
5) What are your strengths and weaknesses?
She can be slightly nutty sometimes, but avoids the radar well. She is good at business, and finding out what people want and using that knowledge to her advantage. Depending on the people, she relies on protection from others, making herself useful and wanted, without standing out in the crowd. Loyalty to those who have the money, and secretive she plays for no side, and is a silent bystander in the politics on-board.
6) What do you like and dislike?
Likes to drink, and be high. Dislikes confrontation, eavesdroppers and needy people. And hates people who interfere in her business.
7) What is your characters psychology?
Keeping her head above the water, and off the chopping block has always been a good way of living for Serena. Equilibrium is just one thing about life, she is neither good or bad, and has played both parts or helped both sides during her life. Her fears give her strength, and don't control her life, which is why she does what she does.
8 ) What does your character fear?
Growing old and death. Which is often why she is high on longevity treatments and staying healthy.
9) What does your character love?
Serena loves to be wanted, and can often play a fairly devious and sly character, and is often rather sexually motivated towards her conquests. But considering her personality, her separation from society and her slightly nutty behavior, her feelings are not very often shared by both sides.
10) What does your character think of his home world?
Serena will always love the place she was raised in, but due to not having citizenship often doesn't know where she belongs in life. Although beautiful, it grew boring. So adventure was on the menu, however, she would love to return one day and see her parents again.
11) Does your character have any prejudices?
Very hard to learn to trust people, and often see's even friends as just 'business associates'. Is open to all species and religions, and has an open and layed back mind.
12) Where does your characters loyalties lie?
Business, employer, where the money is...and suvival.
13) Is your character in love? married? betrothed?
Loved once, scorned forever. And conquests are purely for fun.
14) What is characters family like?
Mother and father are still alive, and her four brothers and sisters are spread across the universe. She is a middle child, and many of her older siblings have made good lives for themselves due to leaving home early on and getting a proper education.
15) What does your character's family think of your character?
Although she is morally unsure, her family is still supportive of her adventurous spirit. Even if they only know she sell's produce. They do not know of her other side, her drug induced, slightly nutty and bad side. They sent her off with good thoughts, but worry about their youngest daughter. Especially considering the 'friends' she kept growing up. Older men.
16) Is your character a gentleman or gentlewoman
Pleasant during business, but can have a bad mouth and a hot temper. Especially when she isn't thinking clearly. However, growing up on a farm, her language is simple but enough to get across the point of a conversation or a story.
17) How religious is your character
Getting close to her goddess is done by clearing the mind. She does this nightly by getting high and praying. An hour is enough to satisfy her thirst for acceptance and guidance. Her religion may or may not be shared by others, and could possibly be made up. But there are very few rules associated with this one, even murder, polygamy, and incest are accepted.
18 ) Is your character a member of a guild, organization, or secret society?
Not that she knows of. But it could be a possibility. Unlikely though. Does the Farmers Union count? If so then yes, for insurance reasons.
19) What does your character think about the concept of slavery?
Some people aim to become slaves, to serve others. And if they don't then what else would they do instead. They are useful as bodies of flesh to be used. And they get fed, clothed and looked after. Better than homeless and dying. A slave is never not liked, considering that people pay to use them.
20) What advice would you give your character if you could talk to them?
Stop getting high, believing in a made up goddess, and making trouble for yourself. Jeez. And brush your hair for once.
Equipment/Belongings: With credits she had on her from the start, she bought several allotments in the Biosphere. For farming, she owns a makeshift tractor considering it doesn't need to be big since the topsoil lacks large rocks which usually require something more heavy duty for plowing. And had two sheds that act as her storage, living and manufacturing space. She sold off her small living quarters, since she no longer needed it. After four months of remaining empty it seemed like the proper thing to do, and the money she made was more than helpful.
((Edit: I would also like to RP as a slave if any slave traders join later on.))

Name: Tony "Tatters" Royen Age: 25
1) Where is your character from? Where you're standing right now. He's a home grown shipborn. He was born between the two main pipes leading to the engine exhaust... ever since the hum of a plasma generator reminds him of his mom who was for the lack of a better term, "absent" from his life.
2) What is your character's physical description? He's a lanky, six foot tall man, with short cropped, originally, black hair. It's dyed neon green currently, but that's subject to change from time to time. His right arm was lost in a gang fight when he was 14, some b*****d with a shotty blew it off, and so he has a cybernetic replacement that's had claws built into it. He says it's so he can "Shank the b*****d who did this to me when I find him" although it's been eleven years since then and he's yet to find him.
3) What kind of Mannerisms does your character have? He's talkative when he's around people, but get him on his own, or one on one, he'll be quite introspective, always trying to plan for the future of himself and his fledgling gang. He can be a bit of a smart a**, but whatever, not your problem unless you can't deal.
4) What is your characters motivation to be on-board Trancity? Motivation to be on-board? He was born here. It's home to him. Of course he's gonna stay here. Currently his aspirations is to rise his gang up through The Freeman's League. After the capitulation of the East Engine Spades, one of the larger gangs in the League, and the one that Tony had fallen into when he was a kid, there's been a big power vacuum. That's the vacuum Tony wants to fill with his new gang, The Plasma Flayers.
5) What are your strengths and weaknesses? Skills? Yeah he's got 'em. Knows how to throw his money around, scare some people if needed, anything a ganger would really need to know to be able to have a shot at rising to the top of the Freeman's League. His fault, well he wouldn't call it that, but his refusal to back down from a fight has more than once ended up getting him hurt, and a few of his guys killed. His determination is a gift, and a curse.
6) What do you like and dislike? Tony likes to ******** with people's heads when he's enforcing. He get's a real big trip out of it. Other than that, he likes to booze, but in moderation, and boy does he like his women too. He's also got a small tendency to get high here and there, but he reserves it for celebrations. He tries to not use drugs too much considering he ends up putting so much of them out. Keeps him from using his own supply. His dislikes? He ******** hates being told what to do, or how to do things. He'll take advice, but he'll come to you for it, not the other way around. He doesn't like MSU at all, because he sees them as something that's there just to get in his way of success. But pretty much everything else, he sees as a possible business opportunity.
7) What is your characters psychology? Revenge when it comes straight down to it. And the motivation for something better than scurrying around the tunnels, scrounging for food like he did as a child for his mother. His revenge comes from seeing the East Engine Spades tumble down like they did. They had become family to him, and in a sense, he's the last of the tribe after a private security force had decided to topple them because they'd gotten too involved in business. More than anything he's motivated by those two things. Love and sex are things he really just views as something he can do when he's not trying to build a street empire.
8 ) What does your character fear? Failure. It doesn't matter what he's failing at, but he is afraid of it. He won't allow himself to lose.
9) What does your character love? Money, power, women, good food, good living. He wants it all, and he wants to rule the underworld of Trancity.
10) What does your character think of his home world Well technically, Trancity is his homeworld. He sees things he doesn't like in it, and he means to change it. He's even considered once the Freeman's League is his, that he'll try and infiltrate MSU and bring it down, but that's a bit of a pipedream at the moment.
11) Does your character have any prejudices? He can't stand MSU. And Eritonites, the aliens from Eriton VI that ran the gang that he was fighting with and lost his arm to. He'll work with them, but he'll hold them in disdain as only tools to achieve his dreams, but more so than everyone else.
12) Where does your characters loyalties lie? His gang mostly. They're like family to him. Mess with one of them, you're messing with all of them.
13) Is your character in love? married? betrothed? Nope, nada, negatory. He's too busy to deal with all of that. Sure as a kid he had some schoolboy crushes, and even some quick flings, but nothing that you could classify as any of those.
14) What is characters family like? Non-exsistent really. Spent the first four years of his life once he could walk begging for change for his destitute mother who was homeless and only saw Tony as a way she could get booze. He was taken in by the East Engine Spades and they became his family, but two years ago, after reaching the place of a Ward Boss, with about fifty guys he could tell what to do, the East Engine Spades came down, and he was only able to escape the onslaught with ten of his original crew. But now they're all closer than family.
15) What does your character's family think of your character? If we're talking in terms of his gang, they love him, and he treats them well. A lot of them grew up with Tony on the hard streets and tunnels of Trancity, and they are willing to support him in his dream of becoming the top dogs of The Freeman's League.
16) Is your character a gentleman or gentlewoman He can play the part, talk the talk, and walk the walk. If he needs to, that is. His skills came from becoming a middle ranking Spade, and having to go to a lot of League meets in fancy places. He had to learn how to keep his street kid's attitude in check from time to time in order to make a good impression, close a business deal, and maybe even score with some rich chick who's an off shiper.
17) How religious is your character Religious isn't really a word that describes Tony. At best, he'll go to Mass on Sunday to make a good impression and keep his social standing up within the East Engine community. But really, he sees it as something to be overcome, and has even made a few shady deals within the Arch Diocese of the ship.
18 ) Is your character a member of a guild, organization, or secret society? He's the leader of the fledgling Plasma Flayers. Their numbers are still small, about only forty to fifty people, but nubs (new guys) keep coming in every day, and they're making sure to recruit young too. Essentially, he's a part of The Freeman's League, and he hopes that'll end up being something where he's leading the League later on down the road.
19) What does your character think about the concept of slavery? Tony, most likely, wouldn't own a slave other than for some personal pleasure. Other than that, he's pretty indifferent to the matter. They're bargaining chips and business stock to be had in his mind, and whatever happened to them isn't really much of his problem unless it's going to keep a deal from being made.
20) What advice would you give your character if you could talk to them? Slow down and sniff the roses more often. Maybe settle down when you finish all this stuff. But you're not going to listen because I'm telling you this and you didn't ask for it.

Government was a "benevolent socialist"-one which Silas percieved as a failure. 2) What is your character's physical description?Almost undescribable looking human, nothing special or anything peculiar. Loving family and the one he will return to after gaining the wealth he is hunting for on TranCity. Gang isn't a family, but they like "the Boss" and are even somewhat loyal to him. 15) What does your character's family think of your character? They feel worry over him but they haven't been in contact. Had and probably will have slaves when he returns to his home, which tolerates slavery. 20) What advice would you give your character if you could talk to them?C'mon, mate, you ain't gonna be in the lead forever! Either take it all and dash off or just run. Equipment:
Varies greatly from time to time, but usually has his NYD-7 pistol somewhere at hand. F17 energy baton is also a favoured tool of the trade. Lucille Cerasuolo Age : 58 1) Where is your character from The Colonies near the Gamma Alpha 7 quadrant. Her home was based on a terraformed desert colony who borrowed their culture from ancient middle eastern culture. 2) What is your character's physical description She is a fully reconstruction cyborg, most of her body replaced by a framework of steel alloys and electrical circuits. She is about 5'9, and what skin she shows is artificial, keeping her looking younger than she actually is. 3) What kind of mannerisms does your character have. She doesn't simply walk from place to place, she walks with a purpose, head always scanning back and forth, eyes looking side to side, scanning everything. It's not so much paranoia as it is her being on patrol. She also talks to her self as if she's talking to the computer on her HUD. 4) What is your characters motivation on the Trancity To serve the public trust, uphold the law, and protect the innocent. 5) What are your character's strengths and weaknesses Lucille is a cyborg built for high risk situations, she is hard to damage physically. However she still has a human mind, she cannot keep her concentration too many things at once, it will just overload her mind. Her cybernetic body protects her organics, however removing her head from her body will kill both. 6) What does your character like and dislike Lucy loves art, she can't get enough of it, anything that she can see or listen to that can invoke an emotional response within her makes her smile. She doesn't like patrolling the biosphere, it makes her very unhappy when she realizes she cannot feel the warmth of the fusion generators. 7) What is your character's Psychology Since her conversion she is still adjusting to the changes in tactile feel. her sense of touch is now computerized regarding, temperature, pressure and weight. She cannot touch something and understand it feels on an physically emotional level. Like the comfort of a hug. She has lost that part of her humanity. 8 ) What does your character fear Losing what little humanity she has left. She fears she would kill herself if she did not have someone to remind her she's a person trapped in all that metal. 9) What does your character love She craves emotional responses and loves being treated like a hero, it makes her feel proud of herself, pride is something that her logic circuits cannot make sense of. 10) What does your character think of their homeworld Her homeworld was designed to be a recreation of ancient Byzantium and Ottoman Empire on Earth. It was ruled as a Caliphate with a high sense of religious duty, and the separation between sacred and profane, what was right and what was wrong. This culture is one of many that produces cyber-knights. 11) Does your character have any prejudices She does not care much for slavers, she understands that they have the rule of law from their own culture that allows them to track down runaway slaves, but she does not like what happens to the slaves when they are recaptured. On more than one occasion she has thwarted the efforts of a Registry Agent. 12) Where does your characters loyalties lie She is the protector of the innocent, her loyalties lie with the people under her watch. She holds no loyalty to any other group, not even the other cyber-knights. 13) Is your character in love, married, or betrothed She was betrothed, but her fiancee's family broke off the engagement when they learned she was becoming a cyber-knight. 14) What is your character's family like They are a rich family of nobles who maintain a large estate which grows figs, dates and almonds. They are rich and wealthy she has 12 other brothers and sisters. 15) What does your character's family think of your character Her family decided for her that she was to become a cyber knight when she hit puberty. She was then accepted into the academy and trained until her 21st birthday. Her family is incredibly proud of her and cannot wait for her safe return home. 16) Is your character a gentleman or gentlewoman She was a gentlewoman, however she has lost the ability to be as prim and proper as she once was. 17) How religious is your character She follows a code of chivalry and is a contemporary Muslim 18 ) is your character a member of a guild, organization or secret society She is a member of the cyber-knights. Her rank is "Unlanded Knight" which means she does not have one specific place she guards, she travels constantly, through the ship, rarely staying in the same place in the same 24 hour period of time. She will go wherever she is needed. 19) What does your character think about the concept of slavery She is a pure abolitionist. She would like nothing more than to liberate all slaves in the galaxy, so she does what she can to 'discourage' the practice and mistreatment of slaves. 20) What advice would you give your character Enjoy the finer things in life while you still can, and be grateful of your destiny. Equipment : Full Cybernetic Conversion with a Neo-Ghazvin Systems Model 850 Hyper Alloy Combat Chassis augmented with an Assad Ullah, IEEE Model 7A Situational Awareness and Biometric Recognition Neural Net. The full cybernetic conversion replaces her entire body save her brain and spinal cord, the parts of her face and torso that look human are completely artificial and are there only for aesthetics. She has two chemical fusion battery packs allowing her to operate for 10 years before servicing. Her body is projectile and laser resistant and is specifically designed for close combat situations. The computer however is designed more for law enforcement rather than combat. VK-873 Expanding Weapon System
Lucille carries with her a VK-873, like all VK-873s they are one of a kind weapons produced by Van Kits Industries. The entire weapon is made of a substance known as expanding plasmic metal. Which means it is designed to reshape itself for each job or purpose, be it combat, search and rescue or simply as a symbol of authority. Lucy normally carries it in a compartment in her right thigh where it maintains the shape of a small camping hatchet. However she can draw it and have it expand to it's full size of a large halberd, at will. She also has been known to use it as a fire axe to smash through walls with better efficiency. Since the system is plasmic liquid metal, it never requires sharpening.

Razao Asaf Bodan 27

1) Where is your character from?
Razao is from a small colony that was built in orbit around Mars, Terra Two-Two-Six. His family was well off, so he was born and raised in the more 'classy' areas of the colony. Whatever Razao desired was soon his, but he sometimes worked with his Uncle, who was a police officer within the colony. He was forced to move in with the man after his parents were slaughtered by some petty criminal that attempted to rob their house.
2) What is your character's physical description?
Razao is a human, and he stands at six foot two, weighing in at about one-hundred and sixty five pounds, having a normal build. His hair is black, and his eyes shift between a dark shade of red and blue - eyes having been damaged from a shattered space-craft window during a dogfight with a criminal in the atmosphere of Old Earth. The mechanical eyes can do pretty much everything short of shooting lasers from them. Thermal, night, chemical, x-ray, capable of zoom and can even be removed - four spindly little legs can sprout from the optic for movement, making it a great recon tool.
3) What kind of Mannerisms does your character have?
The mannerisms Razao picked up are mostly from his uncle. He would be calm and collected if he wasn't completely sauced all the time. When he is in this state, Razao turns into a loud, rambling, womanizer. When he's sober, however, it's quite the opposite. He becomes quiet, analytic, and he is far from out-going in this state.
4) What is your characters motivation to be on-board Trancity?
He is motivated to be on-board Trancity because he feels the need to protect those who cannot properly protect themselves... When he isn't drunk.
5) What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Razao's strength usually lies within alcohol. He has been trained in Zui Quan (Drunken Fist), and somehow is able to aim with deadly accuracy during his intoxicated state. His piloting also improves, but becomes far more dangerous for him and those around him as he often makes risky moves like darting between oncoming space traffic, or driving through places ships were never made to go through. However, he often gets himself into a lot of trouble with his drinking. Often spouting off to the wrong people, which causes a fist or gunfight to break out between him and the opposing party. He's also a sucker for a good lookin' lady. ((Who isn't? xD))
6) What do you like and dislike?
Likes: Beer, Rum, Wine, Whiskey, Tequila, Brandy, Gin, Vodka, Ladies, Nice Ships, Money, Fighting, Long (drunken) Walks on the Beach, Getting Caught in the Rain...
The list goes on.
Dislikes: Tea-Totallers, Boring people, Losing Friends, Criminals that Run.
7) What is your characters psychology?
Razao is driven by his want to defend the innocent, and to wipe the murderers and the rest of the scum like such from the face of the galaxy.
8 ) What does your character fear?
Running out of alcohol, caves, the dark, being eaten alive.
9) What does your character love?
Razao loves being respected, even when he's sauced off his a**. Maybe he'd actually stop drinking if those that he saved would thank him, the wave of accomplishment that ensues a 'Thank you' providing more of a feeling of self-worth than any alcohol could.
10) What does your character think of his home world
Once his uncle passed away, there was nothing left for Razao in Terra Two-Two-Six. If he could have it his way, the colony would be wiped from the galaxy.
11) Does your character have any prejudices?
Against drunks, ironically. He considers the lot of them worthless.
12) Where does your characters loyalties lie?
With his family dead, his loyalties lie within his friends.
13) Is your character in love? married? betrothed?
He's too much of a ladies man to be tied down with one lover. cool
14) What is characters family like?
Dead. ((xD))
15) What does your character's family think of your character?
Well, when they were alive, they thought highly of Razao. The intellect they had witnessed then though has long since been buried under a blanket of alcoholism, although it sometimes finds it's way to the surface.
16) Is your character a gentleman or gentlewoman
He's perfectly able to act presentable as long as there isn't any alcohol in his system, but if there is... Keep him as far away as possible from the situation.
17) How religious is your character?
He isn't. The most religious Razao gets is when he's praying to the porcelain goddess after a good night of drinking.
18 ) Is your character a member of a guild, organization, or secret society?
Darkstar
19) What does your character think about the concept of slavery?
He's viciously opposed to it. He thinks that no-one should be able to own another, no matter the difference of class. Indentured servitude, on the other hand...
20) What advice would you give your character if you could talk to them?
Stop drinkin', you a*****e. You're ruining your liver. >=| You need that.

Name: Sol the Ebon Age: 1141 1) Where is your character from?Zion. It was an artificial heaven built by the Surasian race, who had been observing and studying human society during their last few millenia stuck on Old Earth. They developed in the Andromeda galaxy, on the planet Sura, their word for purgatory. It was their belief that their planet, which was permanently icy and unforgiving, was a waiting place until they discovered a heaven and a hell. When they didn't, they decided to make them based on the theories of heaven and hell of other species. 2) What is your character's physical description?Sol the Ebon is a purebred Surasian. The grey and white eyes, skin and hair, along with the tail and the spike-like artificial legs - which Surasians use as replacements to their unsuitable human-esque limbs - makes sure he stands out in any crowd. The spiked legs make him a total of 6'8", though if he'd kept his original legs he'd be just under 6 feet. 3) What kind of Mannerisms does your character have?Sol is fascinated by everything. He enjoys watching people and studying their speech patterns and walks. Every ship is a new adventure for him, and more knowledge. He often takes notes of everything around him. Expect him to ask you questions. 4) What is your characters motivation to be on-board Trancity? After boarding Trancity a little over a decade ago, Sol is questing for knowledge. He plans to return to Zion one day not only with knowledge and experience of the human race, but every identifiable race in the multiverse! Considering the natural longevity and biomechanics of the Surasians, who evolved and journeyed into space many millenia before other humanoids, he has a fair chance. 5) What are your strengths and weaknesses? While Sol has a natural memory and intelligence surpasing most humans with ease, and most cyborgs too, he isn't physically strong. Cell regeneration means he doesn't need to exercise to stay healthy, which has led to muscle fatigue over the centuries. Also, due to his legs - which were designed to handle earth and ice easily - he finds slippery metal irritating. 6) What do you like and dislike?Knowledge is the one and only goal of Sol. He craves to understand. Most primitive human books are pitiful, but the works of the Plato and the Shakespeare amuse him. Other species, too, give him joy. However, he dislikes vulgar humans, who are beginning to frequent the ship more often. He rarely fights, but some have tried to rob him. Luckily, Sol trained himself in the arts of combat before departing Zion. People do not steal from Sol any more. 7) What is your characters psychology? Most Surasians are social creatures, sharing their information and enjoying each others company. Therefore, if he likes the look of you, Sol will happily strut over and greet you. He thirsts for enlightenment, but a side goal is to strike individual alliances with members of another race, or "friendship". 8 ) What does your character fear? The one thing Sol fears most is boredom. If he ever runs out of interest, he is likely to kill himself. 9) What does your character love?Respect is high on his list. Through a greater understanding of the multiverse, he hopes to gain influence in Zion and the Milky Way. 10) What does your character think of his home world?Leaving purely for experience and field work, sponsored foolishly by the University of the Elders of Zion, the Ebon often misses his artificial homeworld. A small, icy city-nation, built on a stationary asteroid in the middle of the Dark Space between galaxies, it is the centre of learning, culture and religion in the Surasian Empire. Most Surasians believe it is heaven. 11) Does your character have any prejudices?A breakaway of the Surasians, the Alurasians are a parallel species. The Surasians developed on the frozen surface of Sura. Deep in the planet, the Alurasians basked in the warmth of the planet's core. They are similar in appearence and characteristics, but have yellow-tinged skin. The two species have been at war for millions of years. Recently, the Alurasians disappeared from the planet. Surasian agents are hunting them down without success. Like all Surasians, Sol wants them dead. 12) Where does your characters loyalties lie? While Sol hopes to find friends or lovers on board, his only true loyalties lie with his people, his G-d and himself. 13) Is your character in love? married? betrothed?Surasians are rare, and although they could technically breed with Alurasians, they are mortal enemies. Also, most humans tend to die in a century or two, so it is rare to find a marriage with them. In the centuries Sol has drifted the universe, he has never yet found a member of another species he is willing to be with. 14) What is characters family like?Seperated from his parents at birth, Sol was raised by the Elders of Zion. They taught him all they could. However, a teacher is not a parent. While Sol had many childhood friends, he had no figures of support. 15) What does your character's family think of your character?Sol's family are probably very proud. They would have been told that Sol would be an Elder by 600. He could have been, probably, but politics wasn't for him. 16) Is your character a gentleman or gentlewoman? With decorum, style, wit and his religion's morals, he could be described as the perfect gentleman. Being brought up by Elders gives him high status in his society. 17) How religious is your character?Surasians are monotheistic. They believe in one G-d alone. It is thought that they accidentally projected this view onto a small colony of people in the Middle East on Old Earth, creating the planet's main religions. 18 ) Is your character a member of a guild, organization, or secret society? The Ebon Crusade is a select group of swashbucklers, buccaneers and rogues, who recruited Sol a few centuries ago. He doesn't raid ships, but for a percentage of loot he sells the information of trading ships heading to and from Trancity to the Crusade. They gave him the title, "the Ebon", for his valuable service. 19) What does your character think about the concept of slavery?Sol does not believe that the Surasians should use their advanced technology to conquer the Milky Way as well as the Surasian Empire, as many other Surasians do. However, he does agree with the use of Alurasians as slaves. They used Surasians as slaves in the past, so Sol believes it is fair. 20) What advice would you give your character if you could talk to them?Start an adventure, man! You only live once, even if it is for thousands of years! Equipment:Rapier: Arming himself with a rather primitive weapon, it would seem that Sol had a disadvantage. However, swords do have a slight advantage: they don't overheat and they don't run out of ammo. It is a ceremonial weapon, mostly, presented when he graduated from the University. However, it is built of an alloy of platinum and titanium, and so it can never tarnish, blunt, melt or break. Artificial legs: While these look more of a problem than a plus, they are linked directly to his brain via optical cables. They therefore react quicker than organic limbs. They've a hinge at the base and halfway, so they can move like a real limb. Also, on icy or earthy worlds, they give him a keen advantage. They also interpret his brain messages and apply them more accurately. This means Sol can balance on one spike even on a flat slope.

He has black hair and red eyes, a unique trait among the people of Riviera due to years of exposure to a toxic gas. He has tattoos covering his left arm, torso and face, some from his activities in the past, others to cover up scars from the explosion that took his arm. He stands at 6' 7", and weighs 150 lbs. He is lean and muscular. He is left-handed. 3) What kind of Mannerisms does your character have?Riku is a quiet individual, generally avoiding contact with others when he can avoid it. His guilty pleasure is a fine bottle of scotch. 7) What is your characters psychology?Riku is driven by the desire to end criminal activity. Name: Jolon. Age: He's not really sure. 1) Where is your character from? Jolon comes from another, similar ship, where he was born on the vessel. As such, he has no idea where he was from, due to his mother's death during childbirth, and his father's sinister personality. He lived in a working class home, with his drunkard father. He was generally provided for and safe, save from pirates and slavers. 2) What is your character's physical description? Jolon is not exactly sure what he is, but he seems human for the most part, except for his eyes, completely hairless body, and minor telepathy. 3) What kind of Mannerisms does your character have? Jolon has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, and is mute. He can communicate with his telepathy, but it is difficult for him to convey certain emotions without revealing them to a person, which is extremely dangerous for both the recipient and Jolon. He also has a strong affinity for technology of all sorts, especially artificial intelligence. 4) What is your characters motivation to be on-board Trancity? Jolon doesn't really have anywhere else to go, and Trancity saved him, so.. here he is. 5) What are your strengths and weaknesses? Jolon doesn't feel much pain, due to his extensive scarification and horrible mistreatment. He has grown up around knives and improvised fighting skills, so he is proficient at unorthodox fighting, however guns are somewhat foreign to him. He has, somehow, become a more than competent pilot and has a somewhat extensive medical knowledge, however, he is completely unaware as to how he recieved the training necessary for both tasks. Due to his psychosis, he has very frequent olfactory, auditory, and visual hallucinations. He has no idea if what he sees is real or not, but when he pilots, he is unnaturally calm and quite stable in reality. 6) What do you like and dislike? He absolutely hates being burnt, and mind-altering substances. He enjoys flying, technology, walking through the ship's smaller, more enclosed halls, and his two floating drones; the balance. 7) What is your characters psychology? Jolon has an extreme hatred for slavers, addicts and drunkards, and a general dislike for anything organic, so he avoids the bio-sphere. Due to his captivity, he finds enclosed spaces comfortable, and is a sado-masochist; he enjoys both recieving and dealing out pain. He has no reason to be alive, but he doesn't see the fun in killing himself either; not that he hasn't considered or tried it at certain times. 8 ) What does your character fear? His father, the smell of alcohol, going crazy, and living on a planet free of technology. 9) What does your character love? He has no admirations, goals, or aims. He simply exists, at this point. 10) What does your character think of his home world He was forced away from his home vessel, and saved by the PMC aboard Trancity, Darkstar. N/A 11) Does your character have any prejudices? As previously stated, he hates slavers and anyone who takes mind-altering substances. 12) Where does your characters loyalties lie? Werm and the balance. 13) Is your character in love? married? betrothed? He thinks he had a wife. 14) What is characters family like? Haha. 15) What does your character's family think of your character? His father suspiciously and mysteriously showed up carved to bits in his room, one day aboard Jolon's home-vessel: The Sphinx. 16) Is your character a gentleman or gentlewoman Haha. 17) How religious is your character Haha. 18 ) Is your character a member of a guild, organization, or secret society? Darkstar. 19) What does your character think about the concept of slavery? As a former slave, Jolon has experienced it's evils first hand. Saying that if slavery was a concrete object, he would carve it up with a plastic knife, making small, shallow incisions along their epidermis until they passed out from the unbearable pain would be an understatement. 20) What advice would you give your character if you could talk to them? Try one more time.Equipment:LTM-V4 TrikkeA very speedy racing bike, which uses three independently moving wheels, while keeping the driver completely prone. Unarmed, and made for use within the inter-ship roadways. Silence.A custom built space-faring fighter, used to defend the ship, in case of attack. Armament: One heavy laser cannon, and the front opens up to release a myriad of missiles, designed to puncture other fighters and critical systems. It also has numerous counter-measures, as well as the ability to move in any direction, thanks to multi-purpose thrusters on the side, front, back, and top of the vessel. Otherwise, it can reach ten percent of lightspeed, if it's pushed hard. Stored in a personal hangar, with security drones. Chains. From his former glory.
