I wont say I enjoy writing this, only because in the past I've had such trouble trying to explain let alone actually GET anyone to meditate. It isnt as hard as you may think, but it is important as it will help you concentrate think clearly, and possibly raise the energy you need for a working.

As Nate put it, you do just settle yourself down and try not to think of anything. Hard as that may sound, there are easier ways to go about it (that, actually, was how I used to when I first started out).

Meditation consists of three basic parts; Relax, Breathe, Be.

Naturally, you relax first. Lay down or sit in a position you can hold for a long time without drifting to sleep or shifting weight. Make sure your clothes are comfortable and not cutting off any air circulation. My best meditation is done in two sets of clothing believe it or not. My pajamas, or my bathing suit. Being alone helps, although I've done it with others around. So long as you are comfortable and relaxed. Soft music is good, something that gets you to that calm level and something that you dont constantly have to press "repeat" if you can stick that repeat button on your mp3 or whatnot, do it.

Then you breathe. In through your nose, out through your mouth. Keep it up, concentrate on that. Think about that even, it'll take your mid off of whatever.

Then, Be. Be where your at, or someplace else. Think of whatever goal you are trying to attain, or think of some picturesque spot and be there. But other than that, your meditating. Easy huh?

Sometimes its not. Heres an easy one for you to practice using Chakras.
(Chakras= specific points on your body that harness and project certain energies. They're also color coded for your convenience)

Get relaxed and do the breathing bit, but when it comes to thinking about something, think of the color red, in the form of a ball if its easy for ya. Anyways, Red, think of red, and then try to picture orange. if you want to picture the Chakra spots, Red is at the base of your spine, and orange is just below your belly button. Keep this up and you'll be to yellow in no time.

Basically you keep going on the rainbow color list. Red-orange-yellow-green-blue-purple-white. If you want the locations, lower spine-below the belly button-your stomach-your heart/chest-your throat-between your eyebrows-and the top of your head.

By then, if youre not totally relaxed and mellowed out, or youve fallen asleep, you need to try harder scream xd .

Anyways, thats about as well as I can teach ya'll on meditating. The best way to do it, is practice. I cant explain much further without getting into random tangents and astral projecting xd (Astral projecting= a somewhat hard way of going out of your body and elsewhere while in a trance-like state)

Ariiight! Next lesson coming soon!!!
