Brainy women get more pleasure from sex and even enjoy more orgasms, scientists have found.Researchers studied over 2,000 women asking them questions to gauge their emotional intelligence (EI) and quizzing them about the practicalities of their sex lives.
It was discovered that those with a high EI — the ability to manage feelings — were generally the ones who enjoyed themselves most in the bedroom.
Many of those with a low EI said they found it impossible to reach a climax during sex.
The odd news will no doubt be quoted by countless men who are now able to say their poor bedroom performance isn't to blame for the lack of their partners orgasm, but the fact she is a bit dumb.
The boffins from King’s College London said women in the bottom 25 per cent had twice the normal risk of infrequent orgasm but they hope the findings could improve sex therapies.
Their findings appear in The Journal of Sexual Medicine.
