Auryn walked confidently beside Santana as they came into the building, a light smile on her face and a happy bounce in her step. She was getting to meet one of her parents today, and she was excited. Especially since her ability to see had only gotten stronger in the past few days, and she was interested in finding out what exactly was happening with her eyes.

She clutched the card she'd made for the angel tightly in her hands, afraid to lose it in the halls.

"We're here for Auryn's parent meeting," Santana said when they met up with the tech...as this was an old habit for him these days, and he'd learned what to look for.

Beside him, Auryn nodded her head vigorously, "I wanna meet my mom!" she chirped like a little bird, rocking forward onto the balls of her feet.

Auryn's feet shuffled where she stood, so excited she was to meet her Kindness virtue. The aura of her person in Auryn's eyes shown more brightly than any light Auryn had ever come across, and she sounded just as beautiful as the little girl had imagined her to be.

"Nice to meet you, Miss," Santana said with a smile...finding himself feeling joyous in the presence of the angel. Oh, this was so much easier than Lit's first parent meeting had gone. "I'm Santana, and this," he said, turning to gently nudge the little girl forward. "Is Auryn."

Auryn stood there for a moment, biting her lip and shuffling her toes together still. She stumbled forward a bit as Santana nudged her, and she giggled happily.

"Hi," she peeped, stepping over closer to Colaer. "I made this for you," and she held the card outward. "I did it myself...well, mostly," the last part fairly bashful.

The card was made of construction paper with flowers and hearts of various fabrics pasted to it. Inside were more, smaller versions of what was on front. None of the colors matched as Auryn had picked out everything based on touch...but it was still beautiful in it's own childish way.

What was impressive was that they'd taken the Braille writer to it. The little dots were on the front reading "For My Mother" and inside it said "Happy Mother's Day! Love, Auryn!"

"It's a little late," she whispered sheepishly, holding her hands behind her back and swaying her body around slowly.

Auryn squealed in glee as she felt the angel's happiness, watched her aura glow a little brighter. When the hand was placed on top of her head, Auryn couldn't help herself and rushed forward, wrapping her arms around the female's legs and squeezing her tightly.

"Why are you lonely? You should not be lonely," Auryn said with a bit of a pout to her voice. "Doesn't anyone come to visit you?"

Not moving away from her mother, Auryn tilted her head up to glance up at Colaer with her cheek squished against the woman's leg. "I will come visit you again...then you would not be so lonely."

She wouldn't let go of the angel's leg as she spoke, keeping her face squished against her...she hummed happily as the woman petted her hair, nuzzling her nose into the soft fabric of the green dress.

"I don't...you're my momma, I should come visit you lots," she stated importantly, nodding her head.

"I...live with Ana," Auryn answered the question, pointing at the man who had stayed back to let them meet with each other. "He takes really good care of me and has taught me lots. And...and...Lit'ral lives there too. He's older, and kinda cranky, but okay. He likes to cook and makes me omlettes. I love omlettes," she said with bounce on her toes, looking up at Colaer.

"Do you like omlettes?"

Auryn frowned a bit when the angel confessed to not liking something that the little one enjoyed so much...but what was this "vegan" thing she spoke of? And by-products...what are those? Those didn't sound very good at all. How could eggs be a by-product? They were so yummy! She would have to ask Ana about it later on.

"I like...to sing!" Ryn said with a small squeal. How could she forget singing? "Singing makes me happy, and Ana says I'm very good at it," she added, puffing her cheeks with pride. Just a little pride...why shouldn't she be proud of what Santana and Lit tell her?

"Would you like me to sing for you, Momma?"

Auryn bounced happily, managing to pull herself away from the angel and stand a respectful distance from her. The little girl swayed thoughtfully in her spot, chewing on her lip as she contemplated what song she was going to sing. There were so many she knew...songs from the radio, songs from T.V. and from her sing along books. There were even some songs that Santana had taught her, songs about his heritage that had been passed down from generations of wolves just like him.

Then suddenly, like a flash, she knew what song she was going to preform. Little 'Ryn took in a breath, and began to sing:

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
And Grace will lead me home.

Not quietly, she sang with confidence and sureness, but her tone was soft and almost like a prayer. She sounded very much like a child, no true depth to her voice, but she sounded like a child that could sing and would continue to sing well into her adult life.

When she was finished, she stood waiting with nervousness. Would her mother find her singing as good as Ana did? She hoped so...Auryn wanted all her family to be proud of her voice.

Auryn bounced happily from one foot to another as her mother applauded her efforts, squealing quietly before running over and hugging the angel again.

"Thank you! You really liked it?"

The little girl was positively glowing, her tail and wings actually trembling with her happiness. She climbed up on the bench next to Colaer, sitting beside her as she hoped, waited, for more praise.

"I want to. Singing's so much fun! And it makes people so happy, I want to sing all the time!"
