Please donna' post here unless invited, okies? The brothers need to have a chat, I'd hate for any innocents to get in the way... ((Myst is Invited to play with her lovely Diera... <3))

The madness was silently eating away at him... Irritating little whispers.. Mocking laughter... The urge to hurt, to maim, to kill. They swelled in his chest, threatened to burst free in a tide of violence even as he fought them back, locked them away, buried them deeply. They kept coming back.. Kept calling. Rage. Anger. Pain. It would all go away. Blood... Blood and Death. A lesson to be learned, and it would all go away. No! Kel scolded himself firmly as he raced across the lands. Away. Away. Mother. Father. Sisters. Casalure. His Children. Kelasia.. Deimos... Away.. Where he couldn't hurt them.. Just long enough to figure things out.. To figure this out.. Why was this happening!? You know why... 'Lies!' He roared as his heart screamed in protest. Come now, Kelakohr... Mocking, shadowed, true... A tainted, twisted little voice inside him. You know.. You know what it is.. You know why. "I DON'T!" He screamed. "I DON'T KNOW!"

"Tsk, tsk, Brother..." Aveshar murmured with a mocking laugh, appearing suddenly out of the misty night. He flicked his tail back and forth, a satisfied smile on his muzzle as he considered his closest relation -in age, though little else. "Lies hardly become you..." He shook his head, expression sad and sorrowful. They were of an equal height, he and Kelakohr.. Strong and sure like their sire... An evenly matched pair of opponents, if it came down to it. Though there had been times Aveshar doubted Kel had the guts to harm anything... "Now, now Kelakohr... What is to become of mother's favorite warrior, if he lies to himself and everyone he claims to love?" Another tsk, another laugh. He strode closer. "For shame, Brother... And you thought I was bad? I was only ever honest in my intentions toward our beloved family..." Honeyed sarcasm dripped from his words. Poisoning and sweet. "I was only ever truthful... I hated them... Longed for their deaths, and plotted it constantly. But you?" He laughed, stalking in an easy circle around his sibling. "You.. Now you are something else. You who claims to love them above all else.. You who vowed to protect... And this is where you end up?"

Kel snarled as the source of that irritating little voice made itself known. Trust it to be Aveshar.. It would be so like him... If he wasn't feeling so bitterly raging at the moment, the Fayth's Mystery would have laughed at himself and his foolishness. As it was, he contented himself with snapping at his thrice-cursed sibling. "How would you know what does and does not 'become' me, Tainted One? I do not recall you being around overly much." He flexed his claws, digging into the harsh ground as he watched the Dark Fayth in all his mocking glory. Aveshar. The bane of his existance for so long... To think when the Dark Fayth had left Temple's Decorations, they had all thought they'd seen the last of him. "Still raising Hell and playing stupid games, Brother?" Kel snapped, ignoring the questions he posed. "Do not speak of our family.. We have no family. I have a family... You left us.. You are not part of this." He growled, longing to fight his so-hated figure. "And where exactly is it, that you think I have ended up. Pray, tell."

"Touchy, touchy, aren't we? Just a tad, Kelakohr.. If you released a bit of that rage that you're so vehemently denying you carry, you'd probably feel the better for it..." He laughed. "Don't you trust me to know such things? It is my, area of expertise, one could argue." He flicked his tail in a dismissive motion. "Now, now, Kela..." He smiled. "Do not pretend you were so sad to see me go. We both know that for the lie it is. I doubt you missed me at all during your perfect childhood... And now you pout when the world is no longer all about you? How sad..." He laughed. "Us was hardly sad to see me go.. I'll bet you all breathed a great sigh of relief once father and the others had confirmed I'd left the Pride's Land... Don't bother to deny it, Brother, it is all too far behind us to matter now, at any rate." He tilted his head, considering his younger sibling. There was a hint of surprise on his face. Surely Kel had not come here by accident? Perhaps in his anger his paws got the best of him.. Or his soul knew where to go if he was spoiling for a fight. The Dark Fayth smiled. "You stand at the borders of the Twisted Kingdom Brother.. You stand at the edge of my Pride Lands... And let me just say, within, are females who would dearly love to meat you..."

"I don't want to talk about your 'area of expertise'... I don't even want to talk to you." Kelakohr snapped, markings flaring brighter in his rage. "I just want you to leave me be.. What is so damned difficult about that?" He snarled at his brother's mocking words. "It was never 'all about me', so don't attempt to badger me... I am hardly 'pouting'... Princes do not pout." He drew a deep breath. "As for the rest, it hardly matters, at any rate." At least on that, they were agreed. His eyes flickered to the land beyond, one shrouded in mist and death. "Your Kingdom..."
Aveshar smiled as he turned from his brother to glance over his shoulder. "Hmm.. And what is this? One of my beauties approaching now?"

And what a beauty she was. The Dark Fayth's Hell Fire, Diera, padded slowly over to her king with no rush what so ever. Her slothful, blue eyes stared at the stranger that made the air reek with tension so. With a bit of a sigh, she let her flames tickle the male as she came beside him, her form close. "I see we have a visitor, Dark Prince." Her nose scrunched a little as the flames slowly began to burn the dirt beneath her. "Was he drawn her by his hidden darkness, Lord Aveshar?" She briefly looked from one to the next. "He certainly has it inside of him..."

Aveshar chuckled at the teasing flames, his tail coiling around so his feathers brushed her hips in silent greeting. "You see well, Lovely Diera... This is my brother Kelakohr..." He paused to consider Kel as she spoke of the darkness within, grinning in victory at his brother. "He did, I am sure.. But he vehemently denies its existance, along with anything else... No doubt he thinks this is just some sort of coincidence, or accident." Aveshar flicked his tail in dismissal. "Not that it matters, you can see the shadows in him just as clearly as I can... Can't you, pet?"
Kelakohr pinned his ears at the arrival of the female, eyeing her narrowly. He wanted nothing to do with his brother, the Kingdom, or any of its inhabitants. Surely it was a mistake... The lioness's words made him growl in wordless denial, even as Aveshar laughed at him. "I was not drawn here, I simply wasn't paying attention to where I was going." He argued. "There is nothing here for me... I want nothing to do with you."
Aveshar sat, pressing a paw to his chest. "Oh, he wounds my heart.. Come now, Brother, we both know you are more like me than you would admit.. What is the harm in doing so here, where none of your precious family would hear you?" He nipped playfully at Diera's ear. "I certainly wouldn't sell your precious secret..."
"There is nothing to admit." Kel growled vehemently. "I have nothing to say to you, and certainly nothing you want to hear... We aren't alike, Brother... You are nothing to me. You can keep your toys and your Kingdom of Darkness and Lies.. I have a home and a family to return to."
"Ahh but Kel." Aveshar sighed with a smug smile. "When they see what we see inside you, will they want you to return?"

Her silent eyes stripped him of everything he thought he was to what was really going down deep inside. "Ahh...he doesn't seem that happy to see you, King Aveshar. A pity when you two are so much alike..." Diera silently nodded before letting her frame slink around him in wonder. A singed circle of smoke began to form around the two brothers are Diera walked. "If you are so certain you were not led her, then why is it you are still here? Why is it that you didn't turn tail and run when you had the chance?" Her voice was smooth like velvet, her eyes dark and alluring as she suddenly came close to him, her body pressing against his. "Come now, your family can join us too. As long as you realize, however, they will belong to the Dark Fayth..." She purred into his ear, her flames tickling at his mane and back. She quickly retreated from his side toward her master's, her fire leaving their mark on his body. "Funny how you burn and yet don't flinch like your brother. My demon's fire is quite attracted to you, Kelakohr..." She purred. "Ahhh...Kelakohr....such a fine name for a dark heart. Kelakohr, Kelakohr, Kelakohr..." Her voice dripped with seduction and sweet things, her blue eyes glued to his even though her body was curled up close to Aveshar's, flame tickling at his mane, her tongue gently lapping at his cheek, breath hot against his ear. The perks of being a Dark Prince...

The question offended him, but he did not reply to it as Diera's eyes met his. Her gaze was blazing, like the rest of her. As she considered him, he could almost feel her peeling back the layers of skin, flesh, muscle, sinew and bone, until she had completely shredded him, and left him to die. He pinned his ears as that burning gaze touched his soul, his expression an unconscious echo of Aveshar's snarl. "I will never be happy to see him... He is the plague upon the Pride Lands... I wished the hyenas had destroyed him as a kit." He snapped his jaws at her, growling. "I am nothing like him.. NOTHING at all..." He growled -a low, ominous rumble in his chest- as she stalked toward him. Ears remaining pinned to his head, he watched her circle, gaze narrowed on her for as long as possible before he turned his head the other way to catch sight of her once more. A female of the Twisted Kingdom was not one to trust, that much he knew. He ignored the burnt ground she left in her wake in favor of her words. "I have no reason to run from this place, him, or you... If Aveshar were going to slay me, he could have done so when were kits, or a dozen times since when he has had such an opportunity. I do not fear him." He hissed at the velvet-tone. The voice females used to lie to males, because they so badly wanted to listen to a voice like that. He'd been fooled before. The intimate touch he longed to withdraw from, but he tolerated the feel of her body against his. His voice was firm as he glared down at her and growled. "My family will never come here... Never belong to him..." He hissed at her, ignoring the flames. They did no lasting harm to him, what damage she inflicted would not last more than a few days... The pain was not hard to endure. Something buried deep inside him twisted, grasping for that biting flame. Purring at it. He beat it back, making sure no hint showed in his face or manner. "We are not fully of this realm, or any other.. Any pain is fleeting..." At least, for the most part, he silently amended. As she admitted her 'fire' was attracted to him, he was sure the shock flickered in his eyes. How did one respond to such a statement? His ears flicked back, then forward. Attracted? Shudders threatened to ripple over his coat as she crooned his name over and over and over. Dark heart. Kelakohr. Kelakohr. Kelakohr... He held her gaze as she curled to Aveshar, watched her fire n** at his mane and her tongue lap at his cheek. Not for the first time he wondered what- "No!" He took a step back, shaking his head and pinning his ears. "I am not the darkness, he is the heart you want. I am merely a wanderer, nothing like my brother. Nothing."

Aveshar considered Diera as she searched Kelakohr. He could almost feel the weight of her gaze, though it was not on him. The assessment she gave Kel was not unlike the one he had upon their first meeting, though perhaps Kel's was more thorough as she dug through his layers of self-control and self-restraint. Foolish younger brother, he was fighting a losing battle. But then, Kel was Fayth, was... Other.. He should have recognized the danger by now. He should have known. It was interesting to watch Diera's flame lick up Kel's pelt, no flash of pain showing in his eyes or expression. He didn't like the intimacy of her touch, but the fire did not trouble him. Kel really was more like him than he would have thought. Aveshar smiled. Time to gloat over that later... He was about to open his mouth and say something when he caught a flicker of thought in his brother's eyes. Diera was now curled at his side, her body close, flames reaching for him as she licked at his cheek and sighed against his ear. He knew what she was illustrating as well as Kel did... Tail curling around her haunches, he rumbled in pleasure at her caresses, continuing to consider his brother. Kel would make an excellant Dark Heart, a fine Shadow... "Kelakohr." He echoed, though his tone was filled with disapproval and censure at the outright lie. "We both know that is not true.. You are hardly nothing like me.. If we didn't have something in common, you would not still be sitting here, watching her, and tolerating me..."

Diera purred. She had somehow cracked the shield that had enveloped the Dark Fayth's brother. She could see him raging on trying to figure things out in his mind. Her eyes were seeking his, seeking into his soul. She found that little part of the blackness seeking to take control of his light. Diera gave a low growl as Aveshar's tail curled around her. Was her king getting jealous of her affections to the newcomer who just happened to be his brother? Oh she would have to reassure him later.
The female snapped to attention as she suddenly heard him say 'No!'. Was he trying to deny what he was inside? Was he trying to deny what he could become? With a bit of a chuckle, she crooned into the king's ear before slipping away from him, his chin running along her neck and back, her tail curling around to caress his cheek before she appeared yet again in front of Kelakohr. "Please...do not fight it..." Her eyes were glued to his as she made him look at her, made him fall into the fire blue bits of what might be his hell. "Embrace us, Kelakohr. Embrace...me..." Her seduction as dripping as she inched ever so closer, her flames reaching out to envelope the two of them.
Strange...she never felt this way around Aveshar either...

"I have never tolerated you, brother..." Kel hissed, scorn dripping from the title. "Any more than you ever tolerated me. We both know this simple truth: The pair of us exist because each has never managed to overcome the other. If ever one of us had won this battle, we would have ended the life of the other. I grow tired of this dance, Aveshar... It is a waste of time." He growled as the female purred, eyes returning to her even though he would rather continue to have it out with his elder sibling. The female was trouble. Even now he could feel her continuing to poke and prod and n** at his inner defenses, measuring his strengths and calculating each weakness. He met and held her gaze in defiance, lips curled back to expose his teeth in a silent snarl as she poked and prodded at his soul. Seeking, always seeking. Nosy female. The word burst of him in denial as he shoved up another shield, trying to hold her out. His brother. The world. Trying to keep the madness at bay. There was a shadow in him, in the privacy of his thoughts, he could admit he felt the taint. Like a stain on his soul. Damn them. He watched her croon into Aveshar's ear, rub her body beneath his brother's jaw. Aveshar watched her with amusement and approval as she stepped toward him once more. His gaze left his brother and returned to her even as she stopped before him and demanded his attention. Don't fight? He wanted nothing to do with them. With Aveshar. With her. She was just like his brother, trying to suck him down into the burning pits of their existance. Trying to make him crave shadow and hell-fire, sin and tainted pleasure. He didn't want this! He didn't! Not any of it! Diera was close once again, her fire licking along his coat, the scent of her burning his nostrils, and all the while the darkness in his soul was being encouraged. He growled. "I don't want him." He hissed, tail lashing back and forth as he held her gaze. To reply to the rest... The words stuck in his throat as he considered her, listening to her crooning commands, feeling the fire wrap around them. Tempting female... Tainted, tempting female...

Aveshar purred back to Diera, grinning sidelong at her. He wasn't jealous. The Dark Fayth was secure enough in himself to allow his females to wander. After all, what they recieved from him was something no other male could give them... Well, except perhaps his brother. But then, Kel looked like he was in quick sand and sinking fast. Diera would have little trouble reeling him in, the same could be said for some of the other darkly-leaning females wandering the lands. Several came to mind, one in particular at the fore-front. That was conditional.. Kel would only wind up with her if he were seeking.. And if she... Hmm.. There was something to mull over.. Some new avenue of torture he'd not yet considered. A pretty little picture, that might make, but only if he played that game carefully.. Very carefully... Still, best to think of it some other time, lest Kel get curious or accidentally overhear something he shouldn't. Not that he was listening over much to the surroundings at the moment... Tsk, tsk, Kela.. Letting the Hell-Fire child catch him off guard... She had him as surely as a mouse in a trap, though Aveshar wouldn't say so out loud... Kel was getting sucked in, so the Dark Fayth sat back and let his sibling drown. Welcome to Hell, Brother... Welcome home...

Diera watched him squrim under her gaze. His defiance was as cute as a cub pouting to its mother. She purred reassuringly nuzzling against Kelakohr's frame, fire tickling them both. "Of course you don't want him..." She crooned in his ear before licking the rim slowly. She seemed so close to him, so claustrophobic...and then she disappeared. Her laughter filled his ears, her mind embracing his reaching out for the darkness welling within. "Kelakohr!" Diera called out to him, the Hell Cat letting her dark ways slip into him. She took his mind to a place...a place where he could embrace his darkness. Her mind showed him all the fun and pleasures he would had if he just gave in. All of the taint that he was denying would come out eventually...Diera was just milking along.
Then there she was again, right next to Kel, her head resting on his shoulder, her breathing hot against his neck. "You want me..." She finished her earlier sentence forcing him to look at her or some parts of her, the fire winding around them both. Part of her was beginning to relish this feeling, but the other felt she was going too far. She felt as if she was brazenly cheating on her master...oh she would have to beg forgiveness later. She felt so dirty...but it felt so good too as she entwined her frame physically with Kel's in some sort of way.

"You might as well just give in." Aveshar murmured in a conversation sort of tone as Kel snarled and snapped at Diera, but made no move to harm her. His silly Little Brother, always trying to be noble and good and honest and true. He would not attack Diera, would not even run away from her though his soul writhed in agony and shrieked as she pulled him down, closer to the taint. Closer to the darkness. "It's funny, isn't it?" Aveshar smirked, flipping his tail around his paws as he considered the indigo male. "Look at us, together once more. And what do you see, Kel? I am King, I have several females who owe me allegience, mind, body and spirit... There is no guilt, no obligation to our family... No chance of losing. And you? You, the good, noble son... Your female bore a litter, then abandoned you. And not only that, she stole one of the cubs away and raised it -no doubt- to hate the mere thought of you. Your cubs do not understand why their mother abandoned them, your family pities you... You are less than perfect in their eyes, and you hate yourself for it." The black male chuckled as he eyed Diera. "All that nobility and self-sacrifice, and for what, Little Brother?" The Dark Fayth grinned with wicked amusement. "In the end, what do you have? Nothing. It's starting to look pretty pointless, isn't it?" "Isn't it?"
