Your answer is in there, Just stare down the barrel. Your sincerest apologies, Won't write you out of this one. Tonight, you'll find the right In the pull of the trigger, now bite. Oh young fools, don't cry... anymore.
A fear sleeps inside your stomach, It swells. A torn boy alone in need of fix and the pinch that cures the itch. For too long, This little baby has cried on. For tomorrow we'll sing the words and song Of a time we're glad is long gone.
You'll just say the worst of me, With a hope they'll understand. No, they know you're just a boy. So grow up and be that man. Little baby, kicking, you scream and whine Victims pay the price eventually The cost? Let's see... your life.

Lai Min prowled through the lands, their green eye aglow as was most common. It was near dusk, and the pair felt quite at home in the dusty darkness that was enveloping the grasslands they were currently crossing. Recently, the pair had had no problems between themselves, and Lai had been sleeping a lot. The last time she was leading, they'd gotten lost and Min had to find themselves out of a rather shady forest with shadows that seemed to be watching them.

Aidan had wandered off from his Father for a while to relax. Sure he loved him and respected him, but that rhyming really could get very annoying. He'd gotten more space as he'd gone from a teen to an adult, so time away from the big green lion was not that much different from normal for him.
As he spotted a shallow river nearby, he padded over and lowered his head, getting a cool drink. It was so nice to be free of those constant rhyms...

"I want something to drink - I've just woken up." Lai complained aloud, the gold eye aglow as the pure, charming voice rang out into the air.
"We're nearing a river, if you'd be a bit more patient," Min growled as the green eye blazed to dominance. "It was so quiet just a moment ago."
"Well I'm sorry, but I'm stiff and I'm ready for a go now."
"You're going to get us lost again."
"I am not - I'll get us to the river just fine - I can smell it, and I can't stay cooped up forever. I'm bored!"
"Fine, if it stops you from whining you can get us there. But if we do get lost again -"
"What will you do? I'm certain you have very few options." Min didn't respond, and the gold eye remained aglow as the lioness moved easily through the grass and up to the river's edge. She was in a bit of a good mood now, happy to get a chance to stretch a bit and release some of her pent-up energy for the first time in awhile.
When they reached the river, Lai spotted the other lion before Min did, even with impaired sight, and tried to give the other lioness a mental nudge to be aware. Min stubbornly took the advice, and looked up, "Oh! Uhm - hi there..." Her voice dropped down a bit as her discomfort showed, though she didn't let Lai have control just yet.

As a voice from somewhere nearby reached his ears, Aidan lifted his head and looked around. He quickly spotted the new lioness not too far off and looked at her for a moment before smiling warmly.
"Well hello there." She was rather beautiful, but something about her eyes made him uneasy. As if he were being watched by more than one lioness. But that could not be so. But he managed to avert his eyes and relax.
"Are you new here? I haven't seen you before."

Min interpreted the words to have a warm meaning, and watched how he looked at her, and the green eyes quickly became aglow. When Lai spoke, the quality of her voice was completely different, "We wander, though I don't believe we've passed through this area for quite some time..." she bent down to take a quick drink, but kept her eyes on the male the entire time.

When the lioness spoke again, Aidan tilted his head to the side. Her voice had most definatly changed. And she had said "we" hadn't she? This was getting strange, but he decided to stay and try to figure this out.
"Ah, well this place is very beautiful. I was raised here." He smiled a bit at the thought, then gave a little bow. "I'm Aidan. Nice to meet you. May I ask your name?"

Lai clicked her tongue, already a bit annoyed by his friendly attitude. "I'm Lai," she said, putting obvious emphasis on the pronoun. "Though you initially met Min, there's a good chance you -" again, emphasis on the pronoun "- won't see much of her." At that, she sat down and began cleaning one of her paws, paying careful attention that the claws were extended just slightly as she did so.

"Ah. I see. I had a feeling you were more than one." The way this strange, colder lioness showed her claws caused him to arch a brow in partial amusement. He figured Lai did not like his better side.
"You seem more...hmm. What would be the best word to describe you? Tougher? Colder? Your very different from Min. At least what I've seen." The thought of an attack never really crossed his mind, but he did keep a closer watch now.

Lai gave a small sneer and rested her paw back on the ground, claws well-sheathed now. "That, sir, is a very acute observation. I can't imagine how you ever came upon that." She looked him over again, both eyes paying close attention to all of the details, an internal dialogue between the two of them very, very active.

Aidan watched her...them as they watched him. He simply chuckled and moved his left front paw in the dirt, hesitating after a moment, as if deciding not to do something.
His green eyes caught their golden and green ones. Seeing them was unlike seeing any other eyes before. Two in one.

Lai watched his paw, then followed his eyes back up, though hers had a sternness that his did not. This was a peculiar meeting, and Min was pawing at her to change places, but Lai was resisting. she wanted to know more about this lion before letting Min get too close.

Aidan did not laugh or chuckle, but his smile did show slight amusement. Seeing her chuckle caused him to relax a bit. Perhaps she was not all cold. He contemplated showing his control over plants, but decided not to for now. Not unless asked.
"So. What brings you through here?"

"Oh, simple wandering. When there's no place to go, there's also no place not to go." This was a hint of mockery in her tone - nothing she said ever came out sounding completely honest, generally because it wasn't. "you said you were raised here... Then why are you still here?"

"Wandering does sound fun I suppose. I've not traveled since I was an infant. Back then I traveled several miles alone." A frown replaced his smile as he remembered. That was right after the disaster of his pride's destruction.
"I don't travel for several reasons. Mainly because it doesn't interest me much. Is there really that much to see out there? I mean, besides lakes or forests."
