You bet it is disgusting, same with most diet sodas. If you want a diet soda you have to make it yourself.

You can make your own soda, you just need carbonated water, ice, and flavor. You take glass and put ice in it, then put some flavor in the bottom of it. I think 1 oz of flavor for every 5 oz of carbonated water. Then you have an Italian soda- something coffee shops charge about 5 or 6 dollars for.

I just remembered that some people can actually taste sodium benzoate (like me) and it has a very biter taste, which is why I like mixing it with flavored syrup. By the way, sodium benzoate is a preservative in many sodas.
