Achal sat in the short green grass relaxing in the sun. At a distance if one saw him they would most likely believe him just another part of the landscape, but as one got closer one would think their eyes where playing tricks on the. The sky, so close to the ground, and mountains that did not grow as you get closer.
Achal yawned shaking out his blue mane slightly and wondering how his sisters and adopted daughter were doing. He'd been raising them since they were cubs and he was an adolescent and now they were all grown up. Achal had to admit, he'd missed have little ones around and he was becoming a bit lonely. He thought soon he'd need to find a female, but not for romance no. He was only interested in mating and making off with her cubs. No he did not actually want said female. However thus far he'd failed in all him attempts fore most lioness wanted a mate, to love them and all that.
So here he sat enjoying his very lonely, quiet, and very adventureless afternoon.

 Agh, he hated days like this. No females to persue, no grub around to eat, not even anyone to talk to. These days were getting worse and worse for the green eyed male. He huffed as he moved along down the pathway, sniffing at the dirt, trying to get something going in a way of entertainment. But, the rains of yesterday washed away scents, and screwed up the newer ones. All he smelled was water around.
Shaking his head, his red mane ruffled slightly and he snorted, claws raking the moist earth as he stopped and peered around. Calling out in a low noise, he tried to see if there were any other lions around, male or female. He didn't care. Just someone to talk too.
He continued on afterward, his pace slow and steady, waiting for someone to answer or appear out of thin air. Like the world would answer his call because it revolved around him.

Achal looked up at the call that had not sounded to far off and sure enough it seemed as though another was headed straight for him without even noticing he was there. He grinned happy to finally have a little coming and gave his own call out in reply. It was light and friendly, Achal did not wish to scare what he hoped would be company.
He rose from the ground making himself move visible and less apart of the scenery. He decide not make his way toward the other male, there was no telling how skiddish another might be and Achal was in no mood for a fight. He would rather wait and for other other to approach him.

Vestip's ears twitched to the answering call and he grinned. It wasn't female, that was for sure, but it'd work. He continued on towards the sound and then blinked when he saw the other male. Well.. He was an odd one, wasn't he? Grinning from ear to ear, Vestip neared the other and let out a purr in greeting.
"Hello there! You've an interesting pelt.." he said, circling the other male and eying that pretty fur. The colors and arrangements were so different from what he was used to seeing.

Achal watched as the other male approached and grinned, giving a purr in greeting. It had Achal a little confused in an instant and the male was circling his looking at his pelt. He could feel his body tense up a bit ready to go on the defense at a moment notice, especially hearing the others compliment.
'Was he jealous?' Achal simply would not stand for anyone attempting to mar his beautiful pelt, no absolutely not.
He gave a stiff nod, "Hello. I am Achal. Pleased to make you acquaintance and as for my pelt it was a gift from my father. My twin has the same. I must say you have a very interest pelt as well. The wings are very interesting ..."
He had to admit the other wasnt anything like he'd ever seen before either.

Getting compliments back was rare for Vestip indeed, and he purred at them before shifting to lay down to talk. He intended to find out more about this guy. "Oooh, so there's two of you? Like to see you two together," he said in a suggestive tone, brows waggling. He doubted the other would get what he said and gave a short laugh.
"Since I know yours, you can know my name. Call me Vestip..." he murmured, licking at a paw as it had dust on it. His whole body was dusty from traveling so much.

Achal sighed slightly at hearing Vestip say he like to see Achal and his sister together. "I have not seen my sister and many seasons, not since our mother died, shortly after our younger sisters were born and they are adults now." Achal completely missed the waggling brows and the statements true meaning flew over his head.
Achal decided he'd rather not dwell on the past and was happy for the offered name. She gave a slight grin, "Vestip is a very interesting name. Does it have a meaning?"
Achal sat beside the male who now lay on the ground, seemingly relaxed and without a care in the world. It left Achal wishing he could appear more aloof.

Did his name mean anything? "Not that I know of..." he said, racking his brain before licking a big paw. Vestip wouldn't let Achal dwell if he didn't want too, and now knew not to mention sisters again. With a large yawn, Vestip watched the male settle beside him and the pressed against him with a heavy purr.
"Don't you just love physical contact? It's so... great." Cuddling, romping, or just laying next to someone made Vestip feel better when he wasn't feeling good or just depressed. He was a very, very physical lion.

Achal grinning slightly, "My name means the immovable one. Its a little ironic because the mountains on my pelt will be their until I've returned to the earth, but I move and am easily moved."
Achal tensed at the sudden contact between him and Vestip. Achal hadn't been expecting the male to press against him and he was sure he had not invited it. He listened as Vestip spoke and relaxed slightly.
Physically contact was nice and he missed having cuddles from his family. He quickly relaxed fully allowing himself to enjoy the physical contact, it was a nice change of pace, from the failures he'd had with trying to get close to female after female.
Achal yawned slightly leaning more against the other, giving a contented purr.
"Yes, I must agree. It is very nice."

Sleep was settling in fast for Vestip, and being pressed against another, he knew he could just fall asleep here until hours from now, no matter what time it would be. He rested his head on his paws and closed unmatching green eyes with a small smirk. "Unmovable, hm...?" he asked in a lazy drawl, clearly still paying attention, but wanting to sleep.
"Well, unmovable one, let's move to dreamland. 'S getting early," or late, depending on how one looked at it.

Achal yawned slightly, he had been sleepy lying in the sun early and now he was feeling his lids become heavy. "Yes, unmovable," he mumbled to Vestip. He cuddled a bit more to male enjoying the closeness and remembering his family.
When Vestip suggested sleep, all other words went unheard. He nodded and lay his head down. "Dreamlands sounds fun," he yawned.
"Race you," he mumbled drifting off to sleep.
