This is an RP between Notos (Xaki), Jiriar (Tsunake), Kiriwar (Outbreak Signal) and Jessan (Naree)
Huh. Go figure, it was a wonder that this hadn't happened earlier. The flood of candidates had been a bit too much for the weyr to handle, so now, everyone was forced to share a room. Notos didn't have an issue with sharing -- actually, it would be refreshing to have another occupant besides yourself. Unless you liked yourself better than other people.. which Notos decidedly not.
That wasn't the problem at all. The main problem was the number of people .. or rather, the number assigned to each room. Taking another peek into the room that he had been assigned to, he sighed. Shards. It would have fit comfortably a couple of people, any more was a bit.. well.. how should he say it? He s'posed that he would figure it out with his roommates, whoever they were. Arrangements, with the beds and sorts.
They were deigned to arrive soon, Notos thought, as he leaned on the wall outside of the door way. One foot was propped up against the wall, one foot placed firmly on the ground, as Notos leaned with his head tilted back. Nothing to do but wait after all.

It was more than a little surprising to be told that it was time for some room shuffling, but Kiriwar had to say that he understood. There were so many Candidates in the Weyr right now, and definitely not enough individual rooms. Now they were being carefully packed in. He made his way down the hall, looking for the room he had been moved into, wondering just who he had been roomed with.
He found it, and the other boy leaning against the wall beside it. A crooked smile curled on Kiriwar's lips as he approached. "I take it you're one of my roommates," he said, standing in front of the other with his hands casually placed on his hips.

Jessan really had nothing to say about being crammed into a room with three other people. He had heard that the Candidate Master had selected roommates but couldn't be positive about it. Thankfully, he didn't have a lot of stuff to bring with him.
Stepping into the room, he saw one person he didn't know and one person he did. "Kiriwar! I haven't seen you since the Sands! How are you doing?" Turning towards the other person in the room, Jessan's good nature and smile shone through. "Hello there! I'm Jessan. Roomie?"

Roommates, eh? Well, he'd been rather indifferent towards the idea as a whole, not bothered enough to really give it much thought. He was, to be honest, rather preoccupied with latrine duty... Shards, latrine duty. He wasn't going to think about it now, idly sweeping his bangs from his face even as he ducked into the room he'd been assigned. Imagine his surprise upon seeing it filled with familiar faces!
"Notos, Kiriwar, Jess..." A grin was slowly pulling at his face, finding himself nodding at the three boys in turn. "Well! This looks like it's going to be some sort of party instead of punishment, to me!" His arms folded across his chest, letting him beam like a fool more properly. So, every cloud did have a silver lining! He certainly wasn't going to complain.

Kiriwar was surprised to find himself greeted by Jessan and Jiriar, blinking a few times, before grinning happily and stepping forward to clap Jiriar playfully on the back. "Good to see you again, sneaky beast," he teased with a grin. "And you, too, Jessan! It's been a while."
He stepped back then to survey the group, then carefully peered into the room that they would be sharing, trying to see just how comfortable it would be... Not at all. The Vintner grimaced at the sight, biting his bottom lip."Well..."

Jessan grinned as his cousin walked through the door. What a pleasant surprise! As if the others knew the boy who had yet to say anything thing, then that was good enough for him. Moving around, he realized that they were not the smallest of the Candidates and it would make rooming together even tighter.
"This should be fun. We will be like salted redfish in a jar. All crammed together and no place to go." Jessan sighed and looked at the cots. They were all about the same size. Snagging the closest bed, he tossed his small satchel of stuff and then himself down. "At least, it's not as hard as the floor."

(LOL, Sorry for the delay >__>;;; School, argh!
and shall we establish a posting order? Not anything specific, but just make sure everyone gets a post in here before responding again! That way, nobody gets left out~ 8D )
Notos raised an eyebrow, but in good humor. He hardly had a chance to say anything, since everything had come tumbling all at once. "Do everyone know everyone?" Notos asked no one in particular, having identified the other two as Jessan and Kiriwar. It seemed as if they all did.. hopefully Notos would be included!
"My name is Notos. Pleased to make your acquaintance." He flashed a grin to the other two, seeing that it was as Jiriar termed. A party. These two looked enjoyable, they would probably have fun, fun times!
He ducked his head into the room, than looked at the other candidates. "Nice metaphor. It's what I always wanted to be.. a redfish." A grimace accompanied the end of his sentence, wincing at the size of the room with he people inside.
"Well, decide anything you guys would like. I'm fine with about anything." Well, as long as anything didn't include.. y'know. Being tossed out of the room. Shards! But he didn't think that would happen.

((That's what totally threw me off. xDD So Xaki, then Alche, then Naree, then meeeee~))
The clap on his back was accepted with a broad grin and a snort before a playful elbow nudged itself against Kiriwar's ribs. "Says the man who can skulk on in here as quiet as any old ghost! You sure you didn't pull any strings to set this all up?" His cousin's words made him chuckle a little. "Well when you say it like that, it almost sounds like you won't enjoy being crammed all together with three people!"
Nodding at Notos, the lanky man idly crossed his arms as he eyed their living arrangements, teeth clucking against his teeth. "Guess I'm taking the floor. Can't be any worse than sleeping with the beasts, eh?" Truth be told, he didn't mind. Hopefully they weren't spending too much time in this place, at least not all crammed in like this!
"So what'd you all think of the eggs?" He'd venture after a moment. He'd seen Kiriwar and Jessan at the touching, of course, but had assumed Notos has attended as well.

Notos smiled, sympathizing with the other male. He had been well acquainted with the floor at one point also, although he didn't seem to mind it. It was a little harder, but nothing that a couple of blankets and a pillow couldn't fix.
"The eggs..?" Notos thought back, a pause remaining. "There isn't much to say." He left it at that simply, knowing that the meaning could very well be conveyed to the rest of the room. It was a feeling that couldn't be placed into words. Or rather, there were no words that could describe the experience. He leaned against a wall in the room, crossing his arms. There was a fond.. or at least a reminiscing smile at the very least.
"So I assume that we were all there?" It was formed as a question, but the confidence delivered it made it a statement. Notos knew that if any of the candidates were well.. candidates, they would have attended the touching. The opportunity was too temtpting to pass up, after all.
"Next time, we should meet each other on the sands." Notos had enjoyed the hatching grounds, but he was assured that it'd be more enjoyable if he wasn't by himself, with a great deal of strangers surrounding him.

Kiriwar grinned at Jiriar when he was elbowed, before grinning innocently. "Naaah, what makes you think I'd do that?" he asked. He peered into the room then, humming softly. "Well, I can take one of the beds, and I don't mind sharing. I'm not too grabby, if anyone wants to share with me." He flashed a big, teasing grin at the others as he stepped back a little to lean against the wall near their room.
The eggs were brought up and he smiled faintly, sighing a little. "There really is... nothing to say. It's amazing, really," he murmured, lowering his gaze, then looking up at the others when Notos brought up meeting on the Sands next time. "I think we should too. It's always better when you have someone there to stand with. I bumped into Jiri, at my first Touching, which was definitely nice."

Now Jessan had to stop and think. Being serious was not normally in his nature but the mention of eggs and Impression did put him in his place. He placed a hand thoughtfully on his chin as he chose his words carefully. "It's overwhelming. Knowing that somewhere in one of those shells might be our other half. And it's tough because we can only be told what it's like to be complete, not experience it until that point."
Yes, that was definitely deep coming from Jessan.
Shaking himself, he returned Kiri's grin. "If anyone needs a bed, I don't mind sharing with you. As for meeting on the Sands, it sounds like a good plan."

"No sudden moment of realization? No bolt of lightning when you touched an egg in particular?" He was teasing though, and nodded thoughtfully at Notos when the boy spoke of meeting up. "Sounds like a plan. I saw some of you around there--was a little too asleep to say much." It'd been early, yes, but he'd clammed up from excitement more than anything else.
With an amused whistle at Kiriwar's offer, the man rolled his shoulders thoughtfully, though honestly didn't mind taking the floor. "Yup, Kiri. Ran into you too, cousin." A friendly grin at Jessan. "Definitely made things easier."
With a slow sigh, the man stretched his arms out widely behind his head. "Whatever happens, I hope there's good luck for us all on those sands, eh?" They'd probably need it, considering just how many sharding candidates there were...

The agreement from all of them to meet on the sands was definitely a good sign. Notos could see that it wouldn't be a difficult task to become better friends, since all of them seemed amicable.
Tilting his head at the label tacked onto Kiriwar, it wasn't hard at all to figure it out. Cousins, huh? That explained the closeness that they shared.
Hearing the well-wished luck for all of them on the hatching grounds, Notos replied good-naturedly, "Indeed." The boy made an affirmative nod to the other males, although the number of candidates didn't really incite him to celebrate. Numbers did well in the fact that the hatchings had a large selection to choose from.. but there was a thing like too much.
Deciding to put that issue aside, and having some optimism, Notos relaxed. He chuckled overhearing the offer made to Kiriwar. Turning to Jiriar with a gleam in his eye, he patted the bed, asking "So, what d'you say Jiriar? Up to sharing a bed? Don't think I'll be comfortable at all, if I had the bed and you didn't." He mock tsk'ed at Kiriwar and jessan, as if coming up of the idea. His grin showed that he was joking though. He didn't mind at all though.
Neither of them were particularly big, and if either of themh ad -- well, sharing the bed waswn't an option. But as Notos saw it, the bed was a decent size for two people.
