Thona moved swiftly out of his pride lands, and towards the way he saw a certain mint cheetah head in. He was determined, and had one think on mind. Retrieving two of his kids from her. He had rights to them, and he didn't want to go empty handed. No, he hated going empty handed. His spawning was for a reason, and that reason was to make an army his own. To where they'd listen to him. And cubs were the easiest to manipulate.
It was almost night time, the sun was lingering in the air, but slowly making it's way down. The orange sky made everything a tint of orange. It was beautiful to most, but to Thona, he could care less. Even if he was relacing and enjoying himself. Sunsets were for pansies, and those who just needed their life to be ended.
It didn't take long before his pride was completely out of view. Well, that was except for some of the bigger rocks that seemed to be seen for miles on end. Good, he was almost there, or at least he figured he'd almost be there. His tail lashed as he went, his accessories making their usual clinking noise. His fathers flapped in the wind as he moved, causing his beads to hit him in the face. Which he was use to by now.

She'd found a new shelter for her little family, the old one having been too small since she birthed five beautiful cubs. She was a mother now.. and what a strangely fulfilling way of life it was. After she'd gotten used to it anyway. At first it was hard, getting used to watching her cubs scamper about, wreaking havoc on the creatures of the sand they happened upon when she took them out for a walk on the beach. Making sure they weren't getting themselves into too much trouble, and keeping them from getting hurt. It helped that Maji was around, that was for sure.
Adannaya had just gotten back from her walk. She usually went out when the cubs were napping and everything was quiet, but she was never gone for too long - she'd always be back before they woke up. Upon entering the little den she saw that, as usual, they were still asleep. Maji had probably gone out for a walk too. Now that they were juves it was alright to leave them alone for a short amount of time, a few hours at most.
With a sigh the cheetah turned around to face the sea as she lay down on her stomach. She didn't want to wake them, so she'd stay over here and perhaps wait for Maji to come back. It'd been a while since they last spoke alone, so the femme figured it was a good chance to talk to him while they were asleep.

Thona was a good tracker when he wanted to be, and today he wanted to be one. It was about time that he took the cubs he was rightful for. It'd been longer then he normally waited to take a cub or two from the mothers he happened to get pregnant. Of course, he was less then pleasant the second time he met them.
It took a long time to pick up that female's sent again. He'd already forgotten her name, Which wasn't too uncommon for him. He lashed his tail, not caring who heard him. If they were wise, they wouldn't even bother him. Though, there weren't very many wise creatures in the land that he walked. He started to trot, now that he could smell the female. It was at most been an hour since she had last passed threw these lands, but at least he could follow it.
The ocean was about a few miles away, maybe 2 or 3 at most. He could smell it, but not see it. His pride land was near the ocean as well as far away from it. She couldn't be too far off, the smell was getting stronger, as well as he could smell cubs. His cubs.

Her thoughts wandered from one thing to the next as she waited, distracted and somewhat distant. Luckily her children were still asleep, else one of them was bound to ask a question or two. Really, she didn't feel much up to the task of reassuring them that she was fine and, once again, bottling up her thoughts. Not that she did it that often anyway, but whenever she did her walks always lasted that much longer.
Once in a while she'd glance back and let her gaze pass over each of the five balls of fur, a small smile forming on her maw. She'd given birth to them.. give of them. And if she remembered correctly it wasn't that long ago before they were born did she say to another female how she didn't see herself having cubs of her own anytime soon.
"Who would've guessed that she'd be right.." the cheetah said with a soft laugh. The sound of someone approaching eventually came and broke her from her thoughts, and Naya's ears perked up at the sound. She put on a smile and waited for whoever it was to approach. The den was well hidden, so only she and Maji knew to take a certain path to get to the entrance.

Thona had no clue of where she was, but he knew she was close. He stopped, now looking about trying to see if he could see her, but with her hidden, there was no luck. "Adannaya, I know your here some where" He spoke, but not loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. He didn't move any farther, for she was to come to him. He figured she'd be in hearing distance, her sent was more then plenty strong. As well as he could smell others near too. They were similar to her own sent, as well a mix of something else. Well, someone else. She figured it was her mate, or perhaps sibling. Or some type of relative.

The voice she heard hadn't been the one she was expecting, though it was still familiar. Distant.. but familiar. With furrowed brows and a curious look in his eyes, the femme stood and went in the direction of both the voice and the rustling. The scent of whoever was out here was also familiar, and slowly the face of someone from several weeks ago was coming to her. Surprisingly, she wasn't exactly too thrilled to see him, of all leopards. At the same time though, she wasn't upset either. When she happened upon him, she sighed and shook her head.
"Funny running into you again after all this time," she said, nodding as a sort of greeting.

"It wasn't exactly easy finding you." He spoke. Though that was somewhat of a lie. He stood there, looking at the cool green female he hadn't seen in a while. At least he knew where she had gone for the most part. "I think you know why I'm here" He spoke simply, as he took a seat on the ground. Wrapping his tail around his feet. Looking at her with his peridot green eyes. He would take what was his without any problem. Even if she told him no, he had rights to at least half of them. However many there were. He thought he saw three them from a distance, but there more.

Naya decided against taking a seat. There'd be no point in getting comfortable; his words had given her a bit of a start. Unlike his visit though, she wasn't really surprised by this. She'd taken the hint. "I wasn't exactly waiting for this to happen, but you do have as much right to them as I do." With that the femme turned around, nodding toward her den. "Follow me."
She led him over, only looking over her shoulder once to tell him to keep quiet. Once inside the den the cheetah took a seat nearby where the juves were sleeping, eyes glancing from their sleeping bodies to Thona. "Try not to wake all of them. Just the ones you'd like to take with you, alright?"

So that's how it was? She wasn't like most mothers. They'd hate to part from their own kids. Oh well, Thona was in no way to object to this. He did, after all, like some things to come to him easy, and this was one of them. He stood, and followed her. He hadn't a clue who he'd take. Or when. But he knew he'd take one now, and take the other later. To at least make it seem as if he found it rather then took it from someone.
He decided he wanted to take the two least his colors. Since they all had spots, it wasn't easy picking. He pointed at a green female that looked a lot like her, but him as well. "I'll come back for her later, I can only carry one at a time." Though much later he'd come. A day or two, to say. Then he pointed at the white one, with green spots. Oh, he was perfect. "Ill take him now." He felt like he was picking out slabs of meat. As if they might be for sale for some water or maybe a sleeping area. It made him want to laugh, but he didn't even smile.

She watched him as he picked from their five offspring, as though he were choosing what he'd have for lunch and what he'd have for dinner. It was a little disturbing, but she pushed that thought aside and sighed instead and he finally made his decisions. Thona would be taking two - a daughter and a son. With a faltering smile she stood and nodded, making her way to the slumbering ball of white and green.
Naya gently shook the juve, nuzzling him to stir him awake. "C'mon Zi," she whispered, "There's someone here that you have to meet." It took a moment for the boy to get to his feet, and when that time came she pulled him into a hug of sorts. After putting him down, she gave him one last affectionate nuzzle before nudging him toward the strange leopard. "You'll be going with your father alright?" she said. "You'll be fine so just listen to what he says and be a good boy."
With that she looked at Thona, a stoic expression on her face. "Try and keep him safe, alright? That's the least you could do." And she turned and settled quietly beside the four other juves, closing her eyes and bidding sleep to come. She didn't really want to say goodbye..

It'd been such a pleasant sleep too! The juve protested to the familiar nuzzle, gently swatting at his mom trying to keep his eyes closed so he could go back to sleep. He couldn't keep it up for long, so after a few more moments of nuzzling the boy finally stood, yawned and stretched, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. When his mother scooped him up into a hug he purred quietly, burying his face into her, and when she put him down he smiled wide up at her. "Hi mom!" he said, sounding like his usual peppy self despite being a bit groggy.
At mention of his father he turned his head, and the one he'd assumed was Maji was...not Maji. Instead, it was a strange leopard.. so squinting his eyes he moved a bit closer to the stranger, tilting his head before looking back at his mom. "My dad?" came his question, smile widening still. "Hi!" he greeted excitedly, though in truth he was a bit nervous. She said that he'd be leaving with his father, so he did want to make a good impression. "I'm Uziwa'Fuo. I wanna say bye to mom really quick though, okay?"
With that the boy scampered back to his mother, who had already settled down beside his brother and sisters. After giving her a small hug and snuggle of his own the juve made his way back over to his dad. "Ready! So where are we going?"

Thona wondered if he made a bad choice in choosing. He was hoping he'd be a bit more rough on the edges and meanish. Though, he did grow somewhat up with a nice female. He'd change him, or at least hope to change him. "Don't address me as father." He spoke with a nod. "Thona is what you'll call me." He said and looked the cheetah female. "I'll be seeing you then?" He smirked a slightly evil one before turning as the cub said he was ready.
"We are going to my pride lands, See, I'm a king" He said with a nod. He was little then less amused at the questions the cub was asking him. He wished there would be quiet cubs in his life one day.

His father's initial statement made Zi flatten his ears and almost frown. Almost. From Thona's demeanor though, Zi felt that it wouldn't do for him to put on such an expression. He'd always been somewhat keen with reading others, which was probably why around his mother he was so upbeat and lively. It'd be different now though, and with a glance backward the juve sighed quietly. His father's next words caught his attention, and he glanced back at the orange leopard with a wide grin.
He gave some thought before speaking after such a statement. Best ask a few questions first right? There was no telling, at this point, what his father's reaction would be to assumptions. Especially about something like this.
"So if you're a king.." he started, not wanting to really look up at Thona. He was still a stranger for now, and besides family he's never really met anybody else. "Does that make me a prince?"

"In a way." He spoke with a nod. "But you have to keep that between you and I. See... It's a secret." He told the cub with a smile. "If anyone else knew you were a prince, they'd be jealous." He nodded. "and we don't want that." He added. Of course, some cubs liked making other's jealous, but Thona didn't want anyone to know that this cub, or the other one he was to take were his kids. He wouldn't have it. No.
So he hoped this little lie would work until he was older when he'd need some beatings from him if he was out of hand. Thona wasn't shy at all when it came to beating his own children. But he'd never tell the female who had so easily given him her cubs. So easily as if they were nothing but some type of gem. At least he didn't have to be forceful about it. "Time to go then. Thanks for everything." He said to the cheetah female with a smile.

The idea of keeping one's true identity a secret was strange to the juve, but more intriguing than anything else. With an eager nod Zi ran the it through his mind several times to warm up to the idea. He figured that it'd settle well enough by the time they got to his father's pride. When Thona finally bid Zi's mother goodbye, the juve turned back and offered her a big smile. Parting with her was, oddly enough, not as difficult as he felt it should've been. A good sign, perhaps, of a developing independence.
As they went Zi said little to nothing. It wasn't really his fault that he didn't know what to say to the other, especially considering he hadn't been there when they were younger. If he were with Maji or his mother, maybe even his siblings, it'd be a whole other story, of course..
"So where am I gonna stay when we get there?" he finally asked. He had a feeling that being a prince in secret meant not living with his father.
