To save us from extinction people will need to do some studying! Since there are no other planets withe an O-zone layer in our solar system, we will need to study far into the Keiper (?) Belt to find one.

There are Qintillions+ planets in our universe. There are bound to be some planets able to sustain life. Why, one of Saturn's moons was said to be an earlier version of Earth.

The thing is that it'd be very difficult to establish a colony in any planet or moon outside of the solar system due to the travelling time.
