Didn't catch the name this week. biggrin
La Summaria
So, the guys are all bein' mentally worked out by our rat buddy Splinter. MIkey whines, and even Raph says that he thinks they're bein' overworked. Splinter explains that everyone's getting sloppy. They seem to be forgetting that they must be secretive and hide themselves, that they're being too reckless and going around the city all willy nilly. He also says to Leo that his behavior is being unnacceptable! Leo decides he's gonna be a big fat fuddy duddy more and says to Splinter he'll keep being that way!
And then, Splinter grabs his heart and falls over. Leo grabs him, and then the lake explodes, and the lair is flooded! Oh noes!! The guys get up to high ground, and then decide to try to swim to safety. Raph and Leo dive down with Splinter in tow, and they swim him away. Klunk falls into hte water, and MIkey dives in after him! Under water, Mike's smacked by one of the TVs and gets KO'd. Don tries to save him! He faints.
The two wake up in the sewers, and the gang regroup. Mike laments over his lost kitten. sad
The d00ds climb up to the surface after calling Casey and April to meet them, and they are met by a bunch of the press, and Bishop and his men! The guys fight their way over to Casey and April's van, and a chase ensues. Leo hijacks one of Bishop's cars and then blows up a helicopters, saving his buddies.
After some stuff, the guys are chased again, and the turtles and Splinter get out of the van. They tell April and Casey to go, and as the van drives off, it gets blown up! The turtles are like "OH NOES THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!" and Splinter's like "You may be more right than you know, Raphael", and so the guys retreat.
But, their respite is a short one! Soon, the Shredder claims to have arranged all for this! The turtles begin an awesome fight, while Splinter meditates in safety. The turtles are overcome, and Bishop and his men, and all of the turtle's enemies (!) surround them. Then, Splinter confronts Shredder, claiming that he knows what's going on, and that Shredder cannot harm him. As the Shredder strikes (pun intended!) the illusion fades.
Splinter is then surrounded by the Foot Mystics, and Splinter tells them he knew that they were just trying to overwhelm the Turtles with pain and loss. Then, the Mystics attack him, but he totally holds his own. He wakes the Turtles up and explains what's going on. Then the five overcome the Mystics, and they're like "YEAH!"
Mikey and Klunk have a tearful reunion!
Then Karai enters the Foot Mystic's lair and is all like "Yo! You suck! I'm not gonna stand for your incompetence no mo! Kill the Turtles or I kill you!!"
Then it ends.

Once Klunk died, I pretty much knew that this had to be a dream-type-deal. But, it was a good episode. GREAT action and fight scenes and everything. And the fact that it was the dark magic type deal and not just a dream definitely kept the episode from being totally lame. I enjoyed it, and even though it wasn't a totally real fight, the Shredder/TMNT fight was defintely one of my favorite battles of the series.

Coincedentally, we had hamburgers for dinner, so I slapped chips and melted cheese on them. Burchos rock!
Notice how Shredder's armor was slightly different in the Astral World? Just another figure that we must pester Playmates about!
These must be 5 other mystics, as Splinter pwned them totally seasons ago. Either that or their uber magic brought them back.

I did notice the Shredder tweaks. He looked cooler that way.
And yeah, I do remember him pwning the Mystics. Maybe they're just too Mystic to stay dead. =/

It was a while ago that I saw this ep... not long after the dvd it's on came out I guess... and I haven't seen it since... and I'm um... well I'm over 21... so yeah... um...
Okay!
When I first saw this ep I had NO idea what to expect and I thought it was ******** INTENSE. I mean on one hand they can't kill Klunk... and you know April and Casey can't really be dead... but just the thought that MAYBE the world in general found out about the turtles is crazy. It was heavy s**t even if you knew something had to be going on.

Indeed it was. I got reminded of the Batman episode called "over the edge" through the whole thing, as it was a similar deal. But, it was just a dream,w hich is way lamer than them being FORCED into a world where everything just explodes into crapdom.

Well, regarding Klunk... (spoilers in white)
Mirage killed him in the comics.
I've studied a bit of astral projection (and according to an article about stress that Artue pointed me to), and it's entirely possible that the Mystics could have killed the Turtles once and for all if it hadn't been for Sensei. The level of stress they experienced in this astral world could have caused them to die.

once april and kasey "died" i knew something was up....like it was a dream or something. there's no way they'd let them die. but it would have made for a really interesting stroyline if they did die 3nodding
i also found it weird how shredder would just reveal himself from out of nowhere and allign with bishop (who the people thought was agood guy) and other people who were bad since most of the stuff was being shown on TV to the public and whatnot earlier
anyway, it's nice to see karai returned and everone else is safe. but it's a weird feeling knowing someone could always be watching the turtles in the layer...
oh yeah...anyone remember what happened to karai at the end of last season? i know she stabbed leo, but i don't remember what happened to her after that whee

Karai I believe was "arrested" with Shredder. She wasn't like, banished or anything but she was caught when he was I think.
And nice to see she's safe?! WHOREBEAST! *stabbity stabbity*
I think to me the biggest OMG part of the episode was when they were exposed to the public. The Klunk thing I guess didn't hit me (or I didn't believe he'd really die) so at that point I wasn't sure it was an illusion. When that part hit though I stopped what I was doing and actually watched the rest of the episode, which considering I'm normally doing at least two things at once, is pretty big. *L*
But yeah, when Casey and April died I knew for sure it couldn't be real.
