 Shadow raced across the cold, sending snow spraying left and right in a wave of flakes. His tounge was lolling, his breath coming out in steaming gasps, and his eyes wide with excitement. He was in the North.
He missed the warm company of Nani, but he would never willingly bring her here. Not after the time she had almost frozen to death. A shudder passed through him at the memory. His eyes had a lost look when he thought of how he had almost lost her, but he shook his head, stiffening. She wasn't gone. She was still here. Well, not here exactly, but back in the East where he left her. He knew she wouldn't be very happy waking up ti discover him gone, but he had wanted to come to the Northern territory, to feel the snow under his paws once more.
His best friend and worst enemy, Kane, was from the North. Kane had skills he didn't, from living the cold life of a Norther, and Shadow's eyes flashed with jealously and respect. But not for long. If he practiced enough, he was sure he could out-do Kane.
With that thought in mind, he fluffed up his coat, shivering slightly when a wind passed, and started up his run again, trying to use the pads of his feet as he had seen Kane do to keep from sinking.

 Suicides cream coat stood out slightly against the blue white hue of the snow that lay ove her territory. She wasn't sure were her children were, but they all had lives now and knew for a fact she wouldn't see Kartala for a while. She had run off...thanks to her brother. She shook her head when her ears cought the sound of crunching snow. For a moment she figured it would be Cam, returning from what ever he was doing, probably patroll. But then she cought a sent that wasn't so familiar.
Suicide stoped her walk and turned her head to the direction of the quick paws on the snow. They must want to get some where quickly if they were going that fast. Her gold eyes waited to see the figure.

Shadow's pace slowed to a halt and his ears raised, alert. His nose twitched with curiousity towards the scent that had stopped him. He was close to the borders of another's territory. Stepping lightly so that he wouldn't make as much noise, he creeped closer, sniffing. The scent, even though it wasn't very recent, wasn't very strong, which suggested the pack wasn't that large. Well, that was no problem, then.
In his reckless youth, he puffed out his chest and confidently crossed the borders. There was a small fear in the back of his mind, but in his delusioned thoughts, he was sure he could take on any pack.

Suicide's fur bristled slightly as the sent came closer, but at a slower pace. Her gold eyes focusing on a dark shape she could see not too far off now. She waited, wondering it they would realize she was there or not. She let out a low warning growl, just incase they couldn't see her. Who ever it was was rather confident it seemed, which was impressive, even to her. Clearly though the helix was young and had a lot to learn still.

Shadow faltered for a moment when he heard the yellow and red Alpha growl out a warning. Unfortunately, the only females he had grown up around was his childish mother, younger sister, and a small adolescent who was showing signs of an Omega. He had also helped out a small pup trapped in the snow and had laughed at her predicament. This had led him to believe that females were weak ((Oh, how very wrong he is. xD)) and so he paid little mind to the Alpha.
Even so, this was his first time meeting one of such rank, and he couldn't help but to lower his tail in submission, although he tried to hold his head high proudly.

Clearly the young one was slightly intimidated as he lowered his tail, but she smirked as a new, more familiar scent came to her nose. Cam would be here soon. She turned her atention back on the adolescent. "Welcome, to the pack called Northern Downpour. I am Suicide, the Alpha female. Is there something I can help you with?"

Shadow bristled with anger when he saw the smirk. If there was one thing that got him mad, it was teasing, and he often mistook small actions (such as the female's smirk) as a tease. He frowned, raising his tail again. "No." he replied bluntly, not even bothering to act polite, although that was a lie. He needed to become stronger, and what better teacher than an Alpha? But his anger got the better of him and he would have strode off right then and there if the scent of another hadn't reached him and curiousity stayed his paws.

Suicide raised a brow, "Are you sure you don't need help?" Usually, those who didn't ned any thing kept on walking, they didn't just stop in their tracks.
"Sue, who is our friend?" A silky voice asked as a deep red male sauntered over to his mate, though not looking at her, but at the younger male.
Sue shook her head. "I'm not sure, though he claims not to need any help."
Camisado nodded and walked arround Suicide to the younger helix. "I'm sure my mate has welcomed you here, I am Camisado, and you are?"

Shadow gave a brisk nod and looked off to the side to see a large red Alpha male appear. He frowned, remembering the time he had met a dark red pup in the same shade as the male.... Now that he looked closer, it was possible the pup was their offspring or something. The resemblence was startling. Before he could ponder about this revelation, though, the red male spoke and his authoritive voice compelled him to listen.
Shadow noticed the male watch him and he puffed out his fur, trying to appear larger than he was, and raised his posture enough to try and impress the Alphas but low enough to let them know he wasn't trying to out-dominate them.
"Hello Suicide. Camisado." he said, motioning to each. He suddenly noticed how rankless he was compared to them. "Thank you for uh... not killing me on sight." he added.

Suicide shook her head at the young adult. "We welcome those who don't seem to want a fight. Though you puffed up a bit you werent trying to dominate over our packs teritory, there fore did not, do not pose a threat."She gave him a warm smile.
Camisado smiled at Suicides words and nodded. "So tell us, what is your name?" The large male asked good naturedly, welcoming him to their teritory for the time being.

"Not even a little bit?" Shadow asked Suicude, his tone almost hurt. It seemed he would need some work on intimidation. He watched the pair for some tips, noting how casual they seemed. They knew they were Alphas of this territory.
"Shadow." he replied. "It's nice to meet you."

"Well it's always a nice thing to be on gaurd, not matter what, but usually one can smell a threat." Suicide winked good naturedly.
Camisado's grin remained as he nodded. "You as well, you may call me Cam, if you wish."
Suicide nodded in agrement, a fresh smile on her mouth aswell. "And you can call me Sue, it sounds much more pleasant."

"Oh." Shadow said, raching up with a back leg to scratch his ear. He looked between the two and gave a slight nod. "Yes, thank you. They much easier to say."
After that, he sat there, at a loss for words. His eyes drifted to watch the two again. His dream was to become an Alpha and what better way to become one than the watch the other Alphas themselves? "So..." he started after an uncomfortable amount of silence. "How would you... like... know if someone's a threat?" He shifted, getting comfortable.

Sue smiled reasuringly and sat down with the younger helix.
Camisado remained standing and cleared his throat. "It is always good to be on gaurd, of course. But if a helix is comming into your territory and are threatening, you can usually scent it. I am sure you know what to look for in that department." Camisado looked at the young male as he spoke. "It is keen to listen for other sounds and be aware of other scents that are unfamiliar to you. And even if they seem nice, but make you feel un easy, it would be wise to turn them away."

Shadow was surprised and a tad flattered that the Alpha would sit by him instead of her mate. It did leave him uncomfortable, though. From this close a distance, he could see the strong muscles rippling beneath her smooth fur, and he couldn't even comprehend the idea that he had planned to attack the pair.
His attention drawn back to the speaking male, he quirked an ear and replied. "But what if the feeling is wrong?" he inquired.
