So, seriously, the world hates me. Last night, not more than 3 blocks from my bf's house, we got rear-ended.
There was a truck/trailer/big-body-of-a-vehicle in front waiting to make a left turn and we're behind it, stopped for a good few seconds waiting for the vehicle in front of us to make a turn. Next thing I know, there was a screech of tire and
BAM!!!
We got a rear-ended. We all make sure we're okay and the guy, who was still in HS, I'm pretty sure tells my bf that insurance didn't need to get involved as his father who works as a mechanic will fix everything up and my baby-boo wouldn't have to pay for anything.
Blargh!!! I don't know what I did to have such unfortunate things happen to me, and everyone around me, but I'm sick and tired of it!!!
And my ********' back hurt!! crying

That's why you do involve the insurance because I doubt his daddy can fix your back.
You better tell me he still got the info?

Yea, we do.
It was just unfortunate you never feel too much after an accident until the day after. I couldn't really say anything last night either coz my ********' allergies made me not able to breathe too well. I was wheezing most of the time, so I sat in my bf's dad's car while they resolved everything. sweatdrop

Tell him to not be stupid and go to the insurance company.
If he does do this deal make sure he is really careful. Make sure he gets documents and writes up a contract with this dude. That way if he screws you over or you see the guy didn't fix it good. You can take him to court.
But I wouldn't trust it. He could just do it the cheapest route leaving things still jacked up in the end.
It's just not a safe way to go.

Sounds to me like someone knows he could be in serious trouble and wants to avoid it. I wouldn't trust someone like that and I would go to the insurance company. When it comes to injuries... never try to claim anything until the next day or you get a doctor to check you out. I remember being told that at a presentation back in high school.

The other factor is limited resources, aka money, we all don't have the means to be paying out a couple more hundreds in payments to insurance.
Blargh!!! Ammit, hold me!!!!

Blargh!!! Ammit, hold me!!!! You won't. He rear ended you. He is at fault. It doesn't effect your insurance if you're not at fault. I mean it might be tricky since you guys didn't call the police. If the kid lies that might be trouble but I think they would mostly go for your case since the car will show you were hit from behind. My mom's an insurance agent. If I ever accept a deal from some kid she'd probably hang me.

Oh, it's ok. We called the cops. 3nodding But my bf was telling me that there was no report generated, but if we ever needed one, just call the number they gave us and they'll print it up. It was really odd to hear that. The fact that I didn't exactly hear what happened while they were being interviewed didn't help. sweatdrop

Wow...weird. Well tell him I said to call the cops.
My mom has been in insurance forever. She has plenty of horror stories. I'll make her tell him them all if he doesn't listen to me. lol

Haha. Well if you ever have questions I don't mind asking my mom. I always ask her a lot of stuff. I know a few things myself. I was a filing clerk at an insurance company she worked at back in high school. She was teaching me stuff because I wanted to get moved up to an agent. But then they said I couldn't just because mom worked there. And we never had any problems working together before.

Sweetness!!
And that sucks. It's kind of the same thing with my BFF. She works at the same place as her mom and they work well as they have different duties. Some of the 'newer higher ups' didn't like, but they were like 'whatev talk2hand '
Work like that sucks sometimes. Speaking of, I need to get me a replacement job. sweatdrop
