Chris Jericho reportedly requested to do a lengthy program/feud with Rey Mysterio on SmackDown!.
The word is that due to the reaction Mysterio got on the European tour when his mask "accidentally" came off, that they will use something similar to that for television when the time comes.

His mask is his trademark, and the replicas of his masks does draw a lot of benefits on WWEShop.com, considering he is, next to Jeff Hardy and John Cena, the most popular wrestler for the audience under 13, an audience they try to reach more and more.
So, for this, I don't think he'll be without a mask for a long time.

to be honest its real simple.
If Rey Unmasks, He Is Finished
His Mask Is His Selling Point, He Would Get A Push For A While After Unmasking Then Become The Next Val Venis

Sorry if I'm wrong here, but hasn't he unmasked before?
All you need to see him without the mask is google. I can't see an in-ring unmasking being that special.

Yeah, he was wrestling without a mask on WCW for a while. But then again, he did everything he could to get the mask back when he made the jump to the WWE.
