I was wondering if there were any other empaths here. It would be nice to find someone of my own kind.

I guess you could say I'm an empath. Though a friend would say I'm better at sympathizing. -shrugs-

I am an empath. It's difficult for me to be at parties and crowds because of all the emotions and energy. I was walking with my mom through the mall a couple of weeks ago, and I say "Your ankle needs to stop hurting, 'cause it's driving me nuts." My mom was like "how did you know that?" So I go "I felt it, duh."
I pick up on people's pain and headaches mostly.

When did you first realise that you were?

Thos Medivh I am an empath. It's difficult for me to be at parties and crowds because of all the emotions and energy. So I go "I felt it, duh." I pick up on people's pain and headaches mostly. My girlfriend and I were at our usual Goth night and one of the girls there was drinking more than usual. I'm normally pretty guarded so I let my guard down around her. Felt instantly nauseous and overwhelmed with sadness and pain. I have no idea what happened during hte day but it had to have been pretty bad.
You should learn how to put up guards. They really help alot. I can't go without guards, I get too overstimulated and do things I don't mean to do.

I'm an empath. and i hang out with another fairly strong empath. i got a headache the day they got a new pair of glasses. we get feedback loops quite often. can be annoying, other times it's downright hilarious.

Raze Krieger When did you first realise that you were? When I was... maybe 10 years old. I forget exactly what happened, because it happens just about every day, but I broke out into hysterical tears for either a movie or someone who happened to be near me who was upset. My mom gasped and said, "Carleigh, you're an empath!" From then on, I've been able to sense people's emotions and even experience them. I could be walking through a store and be able to tell you everyone's emotions. Unless I'm tired or something.
