Ashiya flooded her lungs with the crisp night air. Moonlight flooded the mountainside path, illuminating the wide valley below, bathing the world in a soft white light. She stretched like a cat, kneading the ground in front of her, trying to work out the stiffness that had been building her legs. While resuming a sitting position, she caught sight of her paw against the night sky. Grinning slightly, she held up against the heavens. The color of her fur was only a few shades lighter than that of the sky behind it. She wondered what she would look like to a person standing ten or so yards behind her. Would she look like a patch of fog, a light splotch, barely discernible against the sky? Or would she even be impossible to spot, hidden in between the stars? ]

Koju was standing behind her for a while, and then he decided to start talking. "I barely noticed you. I actually walked right past you a few times, but then, on the fourth time you moved."

Ashiya jerked against the shock of an unexpected voice, and turned around, scowling. She did not like surprises. "Don't you make noise?" She demanded crossly.

Koju waved his arms around like he didn't know what to do and he only had seconds left. "Oops! Sorry! Sorry!" He was frantically trying to calm Ashiya down, but he wasn't doing a great job so eventually, he just hugged her.

"Are you trying to fly or something?!" Ashiya scarcely had time to lift an eyebrow with a mixture of disdain and amusement before her blue-and-white beau was squeezing the stuffing out of her. "Um," she gasped, "If you're going to hug me, could you do it a little more loosely?"

Koju loosened his grip on her and pulled away. "Sorry Ash. I went into overload and just...glomped." It was true. Some things are just too much for Koju.

Ashiya took a deep breath to expand her squashed lungs. "S'okay, I guess. You just kinda squashed me a little." She took another deep breath - She had always liked the warm scent around Koju. "What brings you up here, anyways? I though I was the only one who knew about this place."

Koju chuckled. "Trust me. I am a pro at finding people. Actually, I am also a pro at finding mysterious and abandoned places that only few know exist. I guess It was a little of both that led me here. How about you? How did you find this place?"

Ashiya smiled wryly. "Who said it was abandoned? I got lost once and found myself here." She paused, and her eyes became misty. "It was - It is, beautiful. I dd find my way back home, but this place seemed so magical I decided to go back. I've half-lived here ever since."
