I know what you mean!
Hey, I have a question for you Xig. I don't know much about starter guitars. My friend is looking to get a starter and she doesnt know what to get. She asked me, and I turned clueless. Any suggestions for a good, moderately priced guitar? She loves jazz, so thats probably what she will be playing the most. She doesnt want to get anything like a starcaster or a first act. SHe wants quality, but she doesn't want it to be over her head.

I've always heard that the starcaster was a really crappy starter guitar. I'll suggest it though. What about an epiphone?

no no no lol i would leave the starcaster and get a used Squire Strat, u can find them dirt cheep and usualy with an amp for around 50$-ish.
now i must say the stuck p/u's on them arnt all that great but if u get ur hands on one with a straight neck just tweak the action so it frets nicely, or if you can find one an Ibanez RX-20 also a bargin. one of the best necks to fit my hand i have ever played as a matter of fact and the double Hum's beat the Squire's singles.
though rlly i don't know much about jazzy guitars so... <_<
thats my sugjestion at liest, there both absolute Steals if u use craigslist or somthin to get a nice used one
