Yokheved walked alone as dusk settled on the land. Tamar was off doing Tamar-things, as she sometimes did when the younger lioness requested some time alone, which was sometimes a very difficult thing to convey. She loved her life-long friend and companion almost like a second mother, but dang if the monkey didn't talk a lot. And because 'Heve didn't, Tamar seemed to make up for that by talking even more. It wasn't a common thing for 'Heve to go off on her own and she never went far from the main section of the pridelands, because if anything should happen to her, there was no way to cry out for help. That lesson had been learned long ago, when she was still learning to cope after the loss of her mother and father. If Tamar and the huntress who was raising her hadn't come along... She probably wouldn't be there right then.
She stopped on a small hill, a breeze picking up around her, sending the green feathers her totem had tucked into her headpiece waving a bit. She decided to sit down there and just close her eyes, letting the breeze flow over her. Sometimes she'd pretend it was her mother running a paw over her fur while her father whispered things to her.

Every step in his life had been for his parents. Remiel jumped across a gap in the rock, imagining for a moment that he was a cub again, following his parents as they scouted the lands. When he opened his eyes, though, he found himself back in reality. His parents were gone, taken out by rogues. His family... He hadn't seen his daughter in some time, though he still had pseudo-family with Kingu, and therefore Kingu's mate and offspring.
As he crossed a small stream, he noticed a shape against the horizon. When he drew closer, he recognized a lioness of the original blood of the pride. The male walked over, sitting next to her. "Hello... Yokheved, was it...?" He had been patrolling for a while, what with the recent influx of new blood. With new blood, sometimes came unwanted blood.

'Heve jumped a bit, startled at the voice of another. her head turned slowly and her eyes narrowed a bit in thought. She'd seen him before, but her memory was, unfortunately, kind of thin when she wasn't often prompted. And names weren't something she really used, unless Tamar was talking about someone and wanted some sort of "response" from 'Heve over said person. When recognition hit, her eyes softened and she smiled a bit, nodding slowly in confirmation. It made her happy to meet others that already knew her name. It didn't make her feel bad that she couldn't tell them. She gestured at him with one paw, then tapped the ground between them with it, finishing with a questioning tilt of the head.

It took a moment of puzzled thought over her gestures before he realized what she wanted. "Oh! I'm sorry, my manners seem to be fleeting... Remiel. Or... Remy for short." Well, what Kingu called him. And at least one of Kingu's children... Somehow, Uncle Remy had a good ring to his ears. "What brings you up here...? Just... Thought?" It was certainly a peaceful spot, a good enough distance from the main pride to have peace. He faced into the wind, feeling the tug on his curled mane.

'Heve smiled sweetly. She had actually been trying to ask him what HE was doing there, but that was okay. He had asked her, so she could just direct the question back to him. She bowed her head when he introduced himself, then nodded when he asked her if she was there for thought. It was nice there, and she liked it for solitude. But company wasn't really that bad, either. He seemed pleasant enough. She gestured to him again, once more tilting her head.
