Hi everyone! I thought of a thread that might get to be at least a few pages long cuz of the things to consider when regarding our favorite clan of vampire hunters. I figured that a thread like this could deal with many things facing the family. For example:
What do you suppose the Belmonts do when their kids are growing up? There's a lot of stuff that we could talk about here like, do you think they get nervous when their kids ask them about sex? I mean, think about it: a mighty warrior never fears when going up against the unknown but they quiver at the thought of their kids asking about sex? That's a bit funny, don't you think? mrgreen

xD. They probably say something along the lines of "Don't think about it until you're married!" This is if it was a boy asking. But if it was a girl they would say something along the lines of "Never!"

Ha-ha, that sounds about right but, I still rather wait and see if the rest of our members have anything to add on this.
I've been thinking about this myself and, I'm pretty sure each Belmont would have handled things differently. After all, each person is unique and even if the way they were raised were similar (maybe cuz of all the training), they still had to raise their kids differently, wouldn't you say?
I wonder how Leon would have handled this. I can only guess what he could have said to my character "Sarah Belmont" if she was part of the official story. Don't you? I've also been wondering about the things that my character "Kenshin Belmont" could have learned from his parents. Since they were old fashioned, I'm sure they wouldn't have said much about it anyway... rolleyes

xd I think the ages they lived in were known for their "THINK OF THAT AND YOU WILL GO TO HELL!! scream " xD so, I don't think they would... er... have much to explain lol
Or maybe Julius could react in a funny way XD though, he seems not to have children of his own lol otherwise, they would replace their old arthritic father XDDD!!

I wonder what would happen if the child wanted to be a vampire or was one of those dark and sulky emo or goth kids?
I do often wonder what the Belmonts teach their kids and how they go about training...Is it different for every child?

Ok, I'm totally going off on a memory thing..
Hmm.. are we just limiting to Belmonts?
I remember when I first saw the picture of Lecarde and his daughters in PoR, I was like ...er... is this supposed to be the Wild West? Maybe? At least Lecarde himself.. maybe they were into gun shooting and western stuff.
Hm... Sonia would have probably raised her kid to be "strong" and not to give up.
Richter would probably spoil his children and have Annet trying to balance him out.
Umm, well, lessee, the Belmonts seem to get kidnapped a lot, so I'm guessing a fair amount of them never learned how to deal with kidnapping situations. O_o;
I'm totally making this up.
Edit: Yeah, I could see Julius being overprotective of his children.

I would not wanna be a wife of a Belmont. At least the first wife. I mean....they all get kidnapped by Dracula or some other vampire and get killed or something like that. Second or third yeah I could deal with that. xD They should probably start getting a class on that or something. Being kidnapped is not fun.

I think they would follow whatever culture they live in. Since most of the time it's in Eastern Europe, they follow Eastern European culture. Probably a little on the conservative side though, with all the religous-ness against Dracula. I don't think they'd be any different from "regular" human parents. Why doesn't Dracula kidnap the girlfriend/wife/kid when they are in the bathroom?

Because according to vampire folklore you have to be invited into a house in order to go in and what not. And I doubt that the Belmont family would invite any sort of vampire in their home.

Haha... or maybe the parents just wanted to keep the kids out of the whole mess, and that's why they always end up getting kidnapped, forcing the family to face reality.

But doesn't that defeat the purpose of "my kinsmen will hunt the night" babble Leon said in LoI? Hehe. Well, doesn't mean all his descendants wanted to continue that, right? And after a while, if there was no activity, maybe people thought of it as a myth until they got a shock of reality.
