Secret 1: Turn the volume up the loudest at the very beginning. You should hear the voice say 'we came in' during the musical part before the guitar kicks in. At the end after the wall crashes, turn it up all the way again. Right before it ends, it will say 'this is where'

Message: This is where we came in. This allows a constant loop of never-ending goodness...

Secret 2: During 'Empty Spaces' it will play some gibberish. You may hear some words that say 'Chalfront' and 'This message is secret'. That isn't all however, play this segment backwards and you'll get a nicer secret. Link...

Click on this then Empty Spaces on the menu...

Backwards, it says: Congratulations. You have just discovered the secret message. Please send your answer to old pink, care of the funny farm, Chalfront.

If anyone could do some research, I bet we can find out what this means...some contest or something?

Extra: I will be making the mask the kids wear in the movie for a halloween costume one year. Fun...

Sorry bout that. I guess the backwards message could be hard to find for some people to find. But the "isn't this where we came in" thing is a necessary part of the album to listen to. For without it, one can't truly fathom Roger's intents on turning pink into a fascist leader.

Sorry bout that. I guess the backwards message could be hard to find for some people to find. But the "isn't this where we came in" thing is a necessary part of the album to listen to. For without it, one can't truly fathom Roger's intents on turning pink into a fascist leader.

not to be mean but, no duh!, sorry. That happened to me one day, i was listening to the wall at full blast and heard something so i rewinded it.

(at the beginning of Led Zeppelin's "The Immigrant Song" heart you hear ...2, 3, 4... then the song starts.

also, just a bit more, "isn't this where..." is 2 seconds right before the end of outside the wall

om my computer (in iTunes) i turned on crossfade plauback and put outside the wall right before in the flesh? and it sounded almost perfectly like isn't this where we came in? except for the 5th of a second gap in the middle

The "Secret Message" is just a reference to Syd. There was no contest- why on earth would anyone hide a contest, beckwards, on a rock album and ask people to send answers to a FICTIONAL character in a FICTIONAL place? I mean, the 'Funny Farm' isn't exactly accessable to the postman. I think Roger just wanted to see how many loons would ruin their vinyl records to hear the backwards message.

I knew of those both... Though I found the secret message while looking for a fan site. And there it was.
What scares me is the "Stairway to heaven" because I love that song. ;_____;
